Simp brag: I was walking down the street in Brooklyn many years ago and happened upon her and Bettany, pushing a little Connelly-Bettany in a stroller. She made eye contact with me for a split second, probably cuz of my double take. My heart almost stopped. I went home and told my roommate and he said, "Can I lick your eyes?!" (I told him no.)
Anecdote #2: A friend once dated a Japanese woman who thought Sean Connery was Jennifer Connelly's father, because "they have the same last name." It sounds like a mildly racist joke, but I swear it's true.

Underrated is overused but in her case it really fits. She’s been gorgeous and talented for more than three decades and her name is still unknown to so many.
I remembered I had her on one of my flights from Johannesburg to Seychelles. They came from shooting Blood Diamond, Leo was in front and she was in the back with Paul and the kids. Wonderful people, while taking off she got scared and Paul told me that she was afraid of flying. Now that she has shared this I can tell my story. Very good people all around.

Yeah words and phrases like "awesome", " unbelievable", "kinda beautiful" is really articulate for an American I guess.
Like Jodie Foster and Brooke Shields, Jennifer went to university - Yale (where she studied English Literature) and Stanford. So, in all likelihood she is well read. I agree, she's a good conversationalist, someone who is able to be both down to Earth and articulate in her speech.
By contrast, her husband Paul Bettany (great actor), didn't have the same formal education as his wife. He told a great anecdote about this to Stephen on a previous show.
@@mixodorians12 Also you have to take into consideration that celebs these days, like Arianna Grande, Zendaya, 2 minute rappers and the likes, are usually people whose combined IQ fits on a tictac. So when a famous person (like Jennifer Connelly) speaks in complete sentences using correct English, it's impressive.

As far as I am concerned the world is so bleak and dreary that I don't need a bleak and dreary movie that also reduces actors and actresses to pieces of meat.
This kind of movies is the equivalent of grunge music, you can like 'em but it's undeniable that is pure psychological self-harm.
I really was traumatized by that film. But I guess if someone saw what really happens to heroin addicts and didn't start them it's worth it. At that time it was so so glamorized.
She hasn't aged at all . When I first saw the trailer of Top Gun I wasn't sure who played Maverick's girl and she looked familiar. When I saw her name, I was in awe of her natural beauty!
Um....she definitely has aged. The difference between her face in Labyrtinth and her face now is undeniable.

Without the hair/makeup artists, in movies like shelter and aloft, she looks very average. Maeby most stars do. She seems to have nice personality.
@@charrua59 For her movie Shelter in 2014, she had to lose more weight than she did and purposely made herself look less pretty like a homeless person for the role. And she still looks as beautiful she is in Aloft in my opinion.

@@Maya_Pinion You're missing out. It's not a remake. It's a sequel. And it's phenomenal. It far exceeds the predecessor - which admittedly is a low bar. Top Gun: Maverick is the best popcorn movie I've seen in a long time. Not deep or anything, but great fun.
