I had the honor of meeting this magical legend when I was a teenage magician studying the methods and developing my craft. To see Slydini in person was to watch a master at work. He made every move look so natural, and his quiet demeanor only made his performances even more magical. It was as if the elements of nature bowed to his every command. Having these videos available for all magicians to watch, and more precisely, STUDY, will hopefully help to preserve and advance the art of magic for many years to come.
Sadly, many of the young "UA-cam Magicians" look at magic as something to reveal instead of perform. It is a sign of laziness, and a supreme ignorance as to how magic should be perceived. They seem oblivious to stealing other magician's effects and methods, while also destroying the magic for others by revealing the secret methods. For this reason, true magicians, magicians who not only love and respect the ancient art, but who are willing to devote the necessary time and energy into perfecting their craft, have been replaced with weak, no class wannabes who choose to reveal rather than perfect their performances and entertain audiences. Magicians of old, and a rare few still performing today, understood that magic was much more about the performance than the method. That fact seems to be lost on the UA-cam revealers who will never earn the respect of magicians, and never earn the right to be called true magicians.
I am so thankful to have met and learned from some of magic's true masters of the art. Their dedication and devotion to the art made a huge impact on my life and my magical career. I miss Slydini, The Professor, Larry Jennings, Mark Wilson, Harry Blackstone Jr., Frank Garcia, Sam Schwartz, and many others who inspired, taught, and encouraged me to love and respect the art that has served me so well in my life. I hope that some of you will be fortunate enough to have similar experiences in your lifetime. RIP Slydini. You were an amazing magician, man, and mentor. Your legacy lives on.

I can’t stand it when people call out the young UA-cam magicians as I’ve seen tons of guys in their 30s and 40s and 50s revealing a lot of stuff.

A great routine. I have the silks and Slydini's routine. Now...to practice! Could anyone else ever be as smooth as the legend himself?
