No one reads this far into the description...what are you doing snooping around lol
Dang!!! Hate to see a final run like this one. I sure hope that sweet little SW1500 gets a good home instead of the scrapper's torch.
I’m glad it was able to be captured on video.
Train Wizard Productions I try when I can! Thanks!
Good thing you caught this on video. May be one of the last shortlines near Cleveland. When I'm older I might visit it if it's still operational. Don't fail me now, Cleveland. Cool to see an ex-Lake Terminal unit. I know they worked at the steel mill in Lorain.
Great documentation! Hopefully we see these lines used again some day.
JDStucks Possibly storage, if anything for now.
So, Was that it? No more? NADA ? DONE? Geez , if so, that's a bummer!
Hey , I really like the angles, and different shots. Very cool little line. In Calif. We got nothing like these small R.R.'s. One big yellow U.P.😜
Good catch and beautiful locomotive..
Always success Brothers...
Wow, I wish I would have known. I had this on my list to film. I would have driven up there to film this if I knew about it. That is a shame.
The 1222 is still there next to the vertical span lift bridge. I’m not sure about the other SW1500. I took a visit there about a week ago when some crazy storms hit and was able to see it sitting there. Not sure if it’s still in service though. P.S: I love your videos, keep up the great work!
Wikipedia says they recently got a 2nd engine and then sold the older one in 2021 ( So they basically updated .)
I should have hopped it while I had a chance. Would have been a cool ride across the river and through the Scranton Peninsula.
All god things come to a end ,,,,thats to bad will miss trains in the flats,,,are the Black Crow switchers going too ????,,,thanks for sharing,,Ken
KENS BACKSHOP the flats is still a railroad for a bit. Just with no customers. The crow is a different operation and owner. If the crow is down, its just the current economy.
I used to work at that flour mill and unload and move those railcars. Now I'm at the steel mill currently owned by Cleveland Cliffs and the locomotives they use at the east side mill have black crows painted on them.
Beautifully shot and framed:::
Sad to see another plant closing 😞
Thanks for posting..
What Kind of Horn is That, I love how it Sounds

Was just down in the flats today (9-3-2020) following a consult at the cleveland clinic. Stopped by Catanese seafood. Just down Merwin there was a railcar mover on a siding but I didn't see and railcars on any of the sidings in the area. A crew was working on the rail approach as you descended down the hill. Not sure if they were upgrading or removing.
What was that old industry at 25:20 ? Those blue barrels with a spur running to it?
Cool u captured this 🥺
werner g smith company
1222 was an SP/SSW unit
Awesome! A shame they’ll no longer be running.
COOL VIDEO, BUT SAD SEE BUSINESSES SHUT DOWN, AND THE FACT THAT HARD WORKING PEOPLE WILL LOSE JOBS, ETC.....
Too many Bean counters without a soul.
Do you know what the current status of the SW1500 is today? Is it stored someplace or has it been sent for scrap?
Man those are some weird signals on that lift bridge does the sw1200 run
If you are talking about the signals on the bridge, I learned that they are warning lights that once worked. One yellow, one red.
Oh the sw1200, does run, it just needs new windows, batteries, and lights. It was vandalized.
Oh cool thanks for the info
Wow nice catch
I saw the grain processor is shutting, I thought they had 2-3 more customers?
Puff Puff Bass Fishing yeah don't they
@@fairportrails107 I k now of at least 2 more
Nope it’s there only customer but they still have a transfer track
They do have a random customer or two. But its a single car once every other month. At that rate its not feasible to run a railroad like that. Theres possibility of storage moves.
Don't forget Werner G. Smith Co. Incidentally, they seem to be expanding their operation.
Why is this the last run?
The flour mill closed and we were the only customer across the bridge. They will probably scrap and demolish the building so I wouldn't be surprised if they opened the railroad back up to take the scrap to the steel mill.
Wait they are shutting down
conrail modeler67890 from what I was told
Oh the economy is doing just fine . . . IN CHINA 🇨🇳 !
Sad
Bye bye
