      @@Typical.Anomaly I love to cook and Factor75 is the kind of thing I'd scoff at normally - what a waste of money, it's not even like hello fresh (who owns them), it's just like supposedly healthy TV dinners at a premium! Well, the premium isn't so big after the latest round of pandemiflation, and their food ranges from fine to "actually legitimately look forward to eating it" good, and it's probably made me eat more vegetables than I've ever eaten in my life otherwise. I've been using them for several years and have no intention of stopping.

    Just goes to show that Death was the perfect metal band back in the day. Steve DiGiorgio's fretless bass work on the Individual Thought Patterns album and a cloud formation intro to the instrumental track "Cosmic Sea" on the Human album, which features a bass solo from Steve DiGiorgio.

    Steve DiGiorgio from Testament and the most recent Megadeth album is an incredible fretless bass player. He has also performed and recorded with Sadus, Death, Sebastian Bach, Iced Earth, Obituary, Control Denied, Dragonlord and Charred Walls of the Damned. Dude has been busy!!
    I saw him with Testament in 1999 on The Gathering tour with Dave Lombardo on drums and James Murphy on lead guitar!! It was freakin' amazing!!

    I remember when I was 16, I listened to like two Jeff Schmidt songs and watched some Zander Zon videos and immediately bought piccolo strings. I never did quite figure out how to use them effectively, but damn did I have a lot of fun until I broke a string then went back to bass strings lol
    Might be time to give it another go

    I just starded a metal band, and it tooke a short time to convice them that a fretless bass sounds awesome ! It leads us to more melodic lines in the middle range, and let the heavyness for the guitars. It just works for us.

    This is awesome! I'm glad he's actually showing us his process of composing these songs now too. I got a 5 string recently that's actually a lefty that someone flipped to right but it sounds amazing and it works well for tapping so I started playing around with that thanks to Charles' inspiration 👍

When I first heard it, I couldn't remember the song, so I stopped the vid and imagined through the very lengthy solo until I got back to the main melody. Basically took me 4 extra minutes to figure out what song that was!

    I am not a bass player, but I enjoy watching the videos. They are so motivating, they make me want to learn bass.
    I know that I do not have the time. It „looks easy“ but I know that this is because of spending a lot of time and efficiency in practicing - I am pretty confident in saying that it is pretty much more time than I spare for practicing. 😅
    I am ok with playing saxophone, and I know I could be better if I would practice much more and more efficiently. Playing a musical instrument is joy.
    I also think that I can learn from bass players for saxophone, especially for baritone saxophone. Thank you for the music. 😉
