Drum programming, especially in the intro, is brilliant. This man is like Jaco, not physically the best at drums, but sure as heck good at composing them!
Just goes to show that Death was the perfect metal band back in the day. Steve DiGiorgio's fretless bass work on the Individual Thought Patterns album and a cloud formation intro to the instrumental track "Cosmic Sea" on the Human album, which features a bass solo from Steve DiGiorgio.
Steve DiGiorgio from Testament and the most recent Megadeth album is an incredible fretless bass player. He has also performed and recorded with Sadus, Death, Sebastian Bach, Iced Earth, Obituary, Control Denied, Dragonlord and Charred Walls of the Damned. Dude has been busy!! I saw him with Testament in 1999 on The Gathering tour with Dave Lombardo on drums and James Murphy on lead guitar!! It was freakin' amazing!!
I love it, it's almost "Castelvania: Symphony of the Night" boss fight-esque. I could never though, the fingerprints on the metal fretboard would driver me insane.

I never did quite figure out how to use them effectively, but damn did I have a lot of fun until I broke a string then went back to bass strings lol Might be time to give it another go
Love this! By the way, Dominic LaPointe of First Fragment and Beyond Creation is keeping the fretless bass on the map, my man. My previous bass teacher. Killer musician and human.
I just starded a metal band, and it tooke a short time to convice them that a fretless bass sounds awesome ! It leads us to more melodic lines in the middle range, and let the heavyness for the guitars. It just works for us.
This is flawless and I can only imagine how you got this good. Improvising seems like it comes naturally for you. Also I have a request: If Sultans of Swing was the hardest song in the world
