I had the same problems with my truck breaks. Scared me when i smelled something burning, pulled over and saw smoke! I poured water on it also but was later told by mechanic not to do that because it can cause more damage being hit with cool water against the hot metal . Eeks! I hope you get it back up and on the road soon. Love your videos and adore Sherpa so much!! I have an eldery 14 yr old Blue healer. My heart fills with joy when i see both of our sweet boys act like puppies. ❤

It’s a good people who have dogs, love them like their own child and spoils them and takes them places with the family and lives in a loving home, they don’t get as many presents as Sherpa though Lol 😁

I think the trips are for content creation as well. Sherpa does seem happy and content to be in the house and yard. All old animals do.

i have old big dogs..pyrs, german shepherds, newfs...as they got older they are (and were) were more and more content to stay home, roam the grounds, take the occasional trip to the ice cream shop, go for a walk out at the ocean beaches, but long trips don't thrill them as in younger days.

The sparrows are still using our 3 tier nesting box (2 tiers anyway) - I’m so glad they’ve got the shelter with all the wind & rain 🐾🤗

I’d definitely pay extra to have the problem fixed at home, no backwards and forwards to the garage and he was quick too. Painful on the pocket but sorted! 🐾🤗
A mechanic who makes house calls! I'm envious! I'm sure there are some who offer that service in the US, but they're few and far between. Generally only AAA auto club and towing companies come to your home, and they're limited to towing and very basic repairs such as giving you a jump start. One time I got a flat tire while visiting my mom. The tow truck driver offered to put on the spare tire, and he only charged $70 US, which I thought was pretty reasonable considering it was around 10:30 pm on a Sunday night (I had expected the bill to be over $100).
@@SherpasDayI'm just shocked that you have mobile mechanics at all! I'd definitely pay extra for any auto mechanic that was trustworthy. If he or she also came to the house- worth their weight in gold.
Sherpa knows you will handle the car repairs, Jaime so why worry? Lord Sherpa expects his staff to handle things like that and grooming and meal prep, right?🥰🐕👍👍

Jamie you should keep a file with all the receipts of what you've had done on each vehicle so you can compare each time as to what is been fixed, replaced and how often. I have kept one from the day I bought my vehicle.. comes in handy sometimes to be able to look back and figure out whether something replaced is wearing out sooner than it should or perhaps the part wasn't up to par to begin with.. Also handy if and when you sell a vehicle to show perspective buyes all you've replaced and put into a vehicle. Just any idea

You can usually tell when a brake caliper is sticking, becoming frozen. Your cruise control will not want to engage. Any time there is pressure on the brake system a shut down signal is being sent to the cruise. So it will not engage when a brake is sticking.

You can mend broken plants wrapped gently with a rag. And the broken bits, if you put in water, with a fresh cut, they could root.

We use broom/dust pan handles from dollar store as support for our young trees.

Hello, Jaime! Do you take Big Red to the Ford dealership for regular service? They usually will check things out when you get your oil & oil filter changed...if you rotate & balance your tires, they can check your brakes & anything else when they hook their computer to BR....you can do the same for LR at the MC dealership...just my 2 cents...😊 Glad you are both doing well....Cheers!

I think Sherpa enjoys the massage when you brush his fur.
Try putting 3 tripod canes around the plant with ties to each cane. That will keep your plant stable and allow it to grow straight.

Aw, so sorry for the trouble. I know how that goes, I tried replacing my back brakes myself (with the help of You Tube and my neighbor!) SUCCESS! Unfortunately, my car was stolen (Hyundai, Kia, Hondas) are highly sought after around here! But, I saved money and gained experience! 🤑💸 So cool that you have a mechanic come to your house! That's unheard of around here! Hope you enjoy your holiday!! 😁✌

Hope the van works good as new soon with all its repairs. It's a lot of work and upkeep. Sherpa appears to not mind brushing at all. You keep up your yard so nicely and I enjoy watching your bonfires. The new part of the deck is nice too.

You should have a file folder for each car and when you get the receipt after what you've done the work put the receipt in there and then you can go back and check and see when you had whatever done to the car you know what I mean it's just so easy

Good news on my home front. I have an appt next week with an endocrinologist Physician's Assistant. She will put in a sugar monitor. Then ten days later I will see the doctor. They also have diabetes counseling and education. And a diabetes dietician. I am really looking forward to this.

I have a truck and van and im fixing them all the time. They don't make them like they used to, I remember driving my old cars 70's and id do work 1 or 2 times a year but today they are built to suck money from us like a crazy,

You might have to start keeping service logs for the vehicles. Less common today, but almost crucial in the past. I had a work van that was also a Ford that, if it wasn't for the record kept, wouldn't have had a clue that half of the lighting harness ran "hotter" (higher voltage) than the other side (used to be a kind of common thing for a certain age of Ford trucks), causing frequent bulbs burning out. Mainly because they insisted on using dissimilar metals in the connections all over. Was something for several decades, with Ford... Basically, the 1990s claim that "Quality is job 1" wasn't true.😁 Even had to replace and beef up the leaf springs on it, because it was considered heavy duty enough for a wheelchair lift, but that made the springs bow the opposite direction over time. A half tonne van isn't really heavy duty enough for them...
And there's always something. It's kind of like you only rent a vehicle, with maintenance and repairs. 😁 You'll discover that also applies to home ownership. Again, there's always something.
Looked like Sherpa just wasn't interested in being "defluffed." 😁

I use a very similar rake brush on my two shelties who shed a lot!!! It really helps if you use a spray bottle of water and spritz the fur as you comb. My groomer suggested this. Hope it works for you. Have a great holiday. Looking forward to viewing your travels.👍🏻💕
Other than your home, your vehicle is the most expensive thing you will buy in your life. Keeping track of what is done and what needs to be done is the best way to save money and avoid unnecessary wear and tear.
