If you worry about the pot tipping over, you could place your nursery pot inside a ceramic cachepot so that there is more stability because of the weight. :)

I liked this video. Thanks for the tips. I like how you tied the bamboo to the pot. Great idea. I got some free sticks with some orchids so I have been using those. I have several plants vining now I have to stake. I'm really hoping for flowers for my purple sanguinea. I'll finally find out if it's male or female. But nothing yet. Another thing I do with bigger nepenthes is put rocks at the bottom of the pot.
Haha. After watching this video, you are pointed toward other videos regarding cuttings. No names. Sterilize the snips or scissors and then each time the blades are immediately touched by the hands and fingers of the propagator.

I watched the video and immediately dug out my old cannabis cloner ( legal here now) and put 6 nepenthes cuttings as per your instructions, will let you know how it works.
@@WindowsillNepenthes That's good to know as I have a plant with a very healthy small plant grown from a basal shoot and was going to risk it and separate them. It's only a ventrata but I don't like killing any plant by my inexperience and your information is helping a lot.
@@weirdboyrox When the tray run dry I fill it back, mostly via flushing. So I would say 2 weeks? I have to let the media dry and sphagnum take time inside the pot. ;)
Just why not put three bamboo in one pot and let the vine turn, instead of one direction growing up.. in that manner, you can save more sky space.. hope this help
@@andywong7969 Good idea. That would work! But for me, "ground space" is more limited but I have a lot a space to use "in the air". And the bar I put will looks great with 2-3 vine on it :D

But I also needed to put a taller bamboo so killing 2 birds with 1 stone (what an awful expression!)

Also, put some stones or grit in the bottom of the pot for ballast is good
You had a great idea about strapping the bamboo to the pot! Thanks and God Bless!
Great video Remi, but also letting some of your plants vine, you get to see how the upper pitchers look too 😀.

Hi my friend, nice video :)
Thanks for coming.
Soon your Ventrata and your Gaya will vine and I hope this will help ;)
@@WindowsillNepenthes thx, i will let u know mate ;)
One question, when your nepsstart to vine, do you prefer to string them up or let them trail in hanging pots?
As I use water trays, I never hang the pots ;)
And I tend to believe it's easier to spot a lack of water on the tray.
When you say it'll not flower do you mean it will never flower never flower after cutting, also will the basal shoots flower?
It's just that flowers come on mature plants. Basal is a young plant but eventually, it will age enough to flowers.

Really enjoyed this video, can you just mention the name of the cultivar again, really like the pitchers thanks

One side question, do you do flushing for your nepenthes? If so, how often do you do flushing?
By flushing you mean watering from the top of the pot?
@@WindowsillNepenthes Yup, like lowering the mineral build ups.
