the squad will either look like 2 11’s or an 11 with 9 on the bench that involve top quality players. Aaron, Partey, ESR, Eddie, Nelson have the most potential to leave out of a 25 man squad we are left with 17 players which leaves 3 openings for an 11 with 9 on bench needing a mid and someone on the bench who can play up front and mid or that bench job is given to Kai and a new striker comes in to start (one of Zinch, Kiwior would have to leave for calfuoir) or a starting mid and another mid and striker for the squad to make 2 11’s. After that you could operate on a one out one in basis

If you compare Facundo Medina and Calafiori the former is better in more things that Calafiori (although he does play in a back three) but nobody is in for him. Truth of the matter is that a club should never pay for an overpriced player after the Euros it’s football transfers 101

I am not considering Calafiori at LCB apart from a backup. Big Gabi owns his position, for me
I like that Arteta is stacking up the defense. He seems like the final piece of that defensive line. Has all the attributes that could fit really well in our system. I’m just also praying we get a forward, whether it’s a winger or striker. Plus also need a midfielder. 🤞🏼😭 But it seems Arteta has a GK fever 😂.

Have you thought about putting in all the potential/likely transfers (similarly for other prem teams) and simulate a FM season. See how this compares to the actual season. Analyse it at Christmas. Holla at me, I've got great ideas.

Why do you play FM Touch instead of the normal full fledged version? It's available on Windows and Mac so I can't think of a reason why

Been done loads. Loads of people have discussed Calafiori, including me on AFTV, I just wanted to try something different tbh and I rate the FM database so highly. Going to use it more to scout players

As someone who plays FM24, I do enjoy that you use their database - it’s not as silly as it sounds!
Too big a financial hit for a position we have covered - hence best defence in the PL last season. How do we buy a 9 or a 6 to replace Partey of the right calibre now? After all Gabriel Magalhaes has done, we bench him now?

You ppl are the problem with this club with your small mindedness , you want arsenal to be a top team yet you donot want the club to do what top teams do , ofcourse they are not benching gabriel if you actually watched our matches towards the end of the season you will see that our defense was more than stretched hence the loss to aston villa , loss that shouldnt have happened
There will be time for everyone if we sign calafiori, we play in every competition a top team participates in every one will have their time . Let go of these emotional attatchments you have to certain players like smith rowe,benwhite etc and direct them to the club in general

I genuinely never understand why people feel like Saliba is a better passer than Gabriel. If anyone is judged harshly on the Pass ratings, it's Gabriel. Easy 16.
People also need to remember that I don't think FM update their ratings during a season

I would much prefer Levi Colwill to Calafiori. If I could wave a magic wand, Edu would go to Chelsea and say that 'since our top choices (Hato, Calafiori) are too problematic, we'll explore a cheaper 3rd or 4th option: Levi Colwill. Chelsea are stacked with left-footed defenders and may be willing to sell.' And so then we sign Colwill for a little less, ending up with a better left-footed defender. .... James, you look at the numbers and know more than I -- do you think Levi Colwill is at least 'potentially' a much better signing than Calafiori (or Jorrel Hato).
