I remember my dad telling me and my little brothers it’s time for bed because we had school the next day so we shut off the ps2 and went upstairs to our bedrooms and fell sleep but a few hours later I woke up to use the bathroom and I could hear my dad playing grand theft auto … it kinda made me realize that no matter how old we are we still love to game out with our favourite games

I've played the game a lot throughout my childhood. It has easily aged the worst out of all GTA games.
Where have you replayed it though? The original ps2 version isnt as bad i thought compared to VC and SA based on comments like this Playing it for the first time rn on the original hardware and its fun.@Omar_E11

A lot of NEW beginnings started around the time this game came out.
yup in 2001 games like Halo Combat Evolved also came out which revolutionized the FPS genre, Devil May Cry which revolutionized combat, Sonic Adventure 2 which is one of the best Sonic games, and this game released which got the GTA series in a whole new direction and also revolutionized the Open World games in general
Something about this just relaxes my brain.

The reason why this theme is the best GTA theme after San Andreas is that it has soooo much of mood. Like this theme can purely suit for a crime game like GTA. Loved it
I agree it is reminiscent of mafia movies. The music fits in a mafia type setting.
Not to mention just the setting, this specific part of liberty city you are placed has a darkly coloured tint associated to it, reminiscent of mafia music and this masterpiece of a score not only accentuates the mood but completes it.
@@chrislyons5556 yes, the missions, the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the storyline, the gangs made us feel like we are playing a legit crime game of 90s timeline.

This is where I got started with GTA, back in 2003. Now that we have the GTA 6 trailer we’re all excited, but I will never forget this game that introduced me to the GTA series!!!
This was my first gta game aswell i first played this in 2007 and it was the only game i played til 2008 i got vice city, san andreas and gta 4 lots of memories loved all 4 of those
Whenever I think of New York, I automatically hear this in my head. And get nostalgic over a place I've never been to, that's how good this theme is.
Glad I spent most of my young adolescence playing such a bop of a game.
Whenever i think of New York, i relate more to LCS theme than this one. Same goes for Miami and VCS theme. Funny how the stories games theme relate to the setting more than the previous versions.

I started playing this game this year and to me its better than new games!
I didn't ever get past the 1st few beginning missions I remember rigging a Bomb 💣 & that's about it catchy theme none the less.
I truly think I will remember the first time I saw GTA 3 for the rest of my life. I moved to NYC, probably in large part to this game. This song is even the ringtone to my phone

Haven't played the whole game, but the song is more nostalgic than playing the game itself. Also this is one of my favourite songs in general, the melody is just so beautiful and relaxing.
I love all GTA theme songs.... But you know what.... I never got that feeling from them.... Like a theme song should also represent or at least reflect the taste of the game too.... None but GTA san and GTA 3 themes has done it successfully.... I can literally imagine everything about the game in this theme song.... ✨✨✨✨

This game with all honesty has the best radio stations and atmosphere compared to any other gta
I liked the fact it had little well-known licenced music. It made the atmosphere more unique and it was so well composed the tracks stand up by themselves. I also found several new artists after some research.
When i was 11 years old, me and my dad played GTA III on PS2, he didn't care if this stuff was 18+, now im here, remembering the old times, GTA 4 ever!
