i wont lie, the patched up series is one of the main reasons why i prefer watching your switch reviews over other channels. i like that youre critical when needed, while still revisiting games to give them another chance

Although it’s quite annoying that so many games release with bugs and poor performance etc (it would be nice if a physical simply worked well without ever needing the internet)
It’s great that these guys post updates on games.
I rarely buy a game at release anymore, and it’s nice to see where it’s at.
The same for all tech and products… unfortunately UA-camrs always want to be the first to get a review out, and then the thing is forgotten about and it’s on to the next, if I want to buy a year old product, it’s tough to find recent reviews.

switchup is def one of my favorite channels. i trust their opinions.
Another crab's treasure is one that im still excited about, gonna hold on buying the game until it gets a patch for a better handheld experience, as it is the only way i play nowadays.
I have joined the Aggro Crab Discord to keep an eye on patches, they are quite comprehensive in their notes and clearly communicate where they are at on Another Crab's Treasure as well as their previous games. Its reassuring to see that they continie to support their games after release. Hopefully SwitchUp can report again when the performance issues has been addressed entirely. The patch mentioned is, I believe, a hotfix to address softlocks, and yes console patches are taking time as the work and verification is slowing things down. Also just received news that they've now sold 150k+ since release across all platforms 🎉.

I'm keeping my eye on this one. It looks interesting but I'm on the edge. If they can get performance up in handheld without sacrificing too much visual quality I'd be in. Pop in and low draw distances is one thing that really bothers me in any game.

Happy to see that the devs are working hard on fixing up Eiyuden and Another Crabs Treasure! Would love to play both of these games when they’re in a good state.

Just another reason why I'm subscribed to your channel! There's so few channels that do these! I'm one of those people who bought a switch relatively late and I'm always on the look out for a new gaming experience. So to be able to watch to see if any of them are at their most playable state is always a plus.

I kept saying this with mk1 on switch, the game was not unsalvagable but it needed a work, and they have been giving it the work it needed and i would imagine it will be pheonimal by the time all the characters and story dlcs are out

Great video as always. You guys should feature Tomb Raider Remastered in one of these. At launch the camera was all over the place and keys were impossible to see etc. Most issues have been fixed now.

This is a series I really appreciate you guys doing. Living the van life and I mostly play on Switch, so I do expect games to run with a compromise. However, sometimes it's hit or miss with Switch performance and I don't have a lot of spare money for games. Love the work you guys do with all patched up. Thanks geeza's 😁

The all patched up videos are my all time favourite ones in all honesty, just so well done and such a great resource for the gaming community.
I am holding out for a possible physical release for Another crabs treasure, so here's to hoping the game is patched up by then and running really well. And Eiyuden chronicles I'm hopefully for a late physical print run down the line once the game is patched to a good standard, I know some games on switch have had later print runs that do include all the patches on switch so fingers crossed for that

Once again, thank you for the fantastic video! Those All Patched Up vids are really a godsend for those of us who rarely buy a game at release.
One feature you might want to consider is to introduce a "patched-up score", i.e. when a game has been so significantly patched that it would change the score it got a lot, put on a screen its old score with the 5 elements on the left, and on the right what score it would now get, also with the different elements. At least if it doesn't add too much work to these videos. Having a numeric idea of how much better the game now is thanks to the patches would definitely help some (read, me, the autistic guy who needs numbers to compare things) decide whether the game is now worth buying 👍

Yeah this is a great series. Most reviews are just fire and forget, I’ve spent so long in the past trawling for updated reviews of games that released terribly. Looking forward to your Grounded patch update. I really want Eiyuden to be sorted too cos I well want to play it.

This is the best Nintendo switch channel bar none. The algorithm can be the only reason why this channel doesnt have more subscribers which is wild to say! Like share and subscribe people!!! This channel deserves millions of subs and we will get it there!!!

Lol, that hair bug is from MK 11. I ran into that in MK 11, where hair did the same.
Oh I have to check out that ACT patch. I stopped on the first boss because when I got the first shell the can it didn't feel very responsive on the block. I knew a patch was coming so I just put it down. I forgot all about Grime but I am pretty sure it's on my wish list so I might get that on a sale. You should send that clip with the sound effects you did in the review to the devs of the South Park game. MAKE THEM HEAR THE TRUTH!
I really want to buy the Switch version of Another Crab's Treasure even if I can play it on XBS via Game Pass but handheld mode still being hindered with performance issues is keeping me from buying it. Grounded got updated today as well, but the patch introduced a lot of stutter that weren't there before.

Bomb Cat reminds me of Puzzle Uo Poko, a one button arcade game that's reminiscent of Puzzle Bobble but made by bullet hell gods Cave, of all people.
Glad to see Eiyuden already making an all patched up episode but looks like we need to see more before I'll pick it up
Can’t wait to hear about grounded. I loved playing it on switch but the made the mistake of trying it on another system and now it’s hard to go back to do anything meaningful in the story

I think the developer for another crab’s treasure mentioned that this patch was mostly to fix the soft locks and some bugs. There should be a big patch coming next week for consoles that should address performance

I do enjoy this type of content, celebrating the efforts of those developpers and publishers that do fix mistakes.
That shouldn't of been made in the first place. They willingly took customers money up front and knowingly released the product in the original state it was. Good job they had the up front cash to go back and fix it later.... this time
@@robsmall6466 Not all of them are big budgets, some do reinvest to fix issues, they're the ones I enjoy this series for. It's also nice for the people who invested in a production they were disapointed in to get a better one eventually. Doesn't wipe the stain of the state it was published in, just shows they corrected course. But respect to your opinion! Cheers, cya 😅
@@ThePhildefer001 It really doesn't matter about the supposed size of the company involved and three of these are Mortal Kombat, Star Wars and South Park which are huge money makers. What all these companies have in common is they received a list of faults from testing and proceeded to ignore them. Of course we assume that testing was done in the first place and they didn't drop that on the end user. The paying customer. Put it another way. You pay me to do a job. I say that I'll do it. Then I either don't do it or I do it in a substandard manner. If this were construction, finance, engineering, food preparation.... would you use the same company ? Doubt it. These companies need to stop rushing releases. Developers, publishers, platform holders and journalists need to be held accountable. That way we get the products we should of received in the first place

With eiyuden i Had now one Crash in 20h with the new Patch after building smth in the Castle but with autosave IT only cost me 5min so wasnt that Bad.
Looking forward to a proper fix for the crab games. I can't wait for my switch to get crabs 😂
