I hope one day I’m confident enough to batch tasks. Right now, when I cut fabric, I feel I’ve unleashed chaos into the universe and I want to put things back in order ASAP by sewing them up 😅
Just want to say that I absolutely love and look forward to your videos, podcast, and newsletter! 😊❤ By the way, I recognize the shirt pattern you’re wearing as Loretta! I have had this pattern on my mind since the beginning of summer, and I think this is my sign to get it so I can sew my own! 😄
i love love love batching tasks. one year for Christmas I made 9 hooded sweaters for all my niblings ranging from 3 months to 9 years and it was a very fun project. the problem for me is that I mostly never feel like cutting ;-)
That is awesome! It can be hard to get in the mood to batch cut out projects. I like to make it fun by putting on some music and making some tea. Maybe try to find some sewing rituals to get you excited to batch cut!
I made the Benning dress in the smallest size for Project Dress a Girl. I was able to use coordinating batiks and it was fast to put together. They get so many dresses for little girls but not many for older ones.
A fantastic collection of patterns and I love that you modeled all of them. What a stunning capsule wardrobe you created! Well done and thanks! Only... what are you wearing? Why didn't you identify that cute top and those stunning shorts? Correct that, please! They're gorgeous!
I got the free Benning pattern. I’m looking forward to sewing it and excited to hear that there are more free patterns in the future! I also love the shirt you’re wearing and am pleased to see the comment identifying it as Loretta!
Hi, realise that tis video was some time ago. I would like to know what you are wearing when presenting this video, Please? It looks so airy and nice with those flutter sleeves. I like all the different patterns for different reasons For two of them you had them i a white broderie anglaise, and I have a bunch navy broderie anglaise laying around waiting for me to figure out what to do with it. I also saw some that would look great in linen. I have three different colored linen and linen cotton blends that you showed looking very close to what I had in mind when I bought them. I even have a couple or more of Tencel viscoses. I that I hoped to make slips for two of the ideas I had when I bought them, that could easily be made into dual purpose slip/slip dresses, or maybe even just a top or something else with. I also have a couple of what I think would be viscose challies from one of your videos, that I bought for experimenting with, and promptly lost my nerve. I think one of them will become a flowy top and another one might become the trousers you showed there. I started a hobby, and I'm great at theoretical sewing. In practice... not so much. I'm going to try your batch cutting out and batch sewing and see where that'll take me, so thank you. That might make me getting something moving from a vague plan to a finished garment. From theory to practiced sewing. Yours, Ann
Hi! I'm wearing the Seamwork Loretta top, which I shortened to a cropped length. The fabric is an embroidered cotton. It's a very quick project to sew!
@@SeamworkVideo Hi, Thank you so much for your answer. Can you find embroidered fabrics or have you done that? I'm going to have a look at it in the catalogue. I am actually a member but I'm overwhelmed by the amount of patterns on the website and have accumulated so many points that my great great grandchildren will have to work to sew them all. I hope you don't mind me posting questions here. As I mentioned overwhelmed. Also still new to sewing. Yours, Ann
Thank you for this video - Im just getting started so balancing the quick wins with steadily increasing complexity is absolutely what Im wanting!

Batch cutting doesn't work for everyone and that's okay!
Everything was beautiful!
Thank you!
