The problem with specialists are that academia gets compartmentalised. Within the same discipline communication breaks off and truth thus gets suppressed. Truth does not come from one specialist, it requires the convergence of several subjects to bring forth truth. Because specialists do not know much about anything outside their field, speculation runs rampant as every specialist now has his own theory of why?

"A lie goes all around the world while truth is just putting its boots on. " It takes a lot of work to determine what the truth is, but its the easiest thing in the world to just make up something that will tickle people's ears. And that is the world we are living in now.

Over specialization is another symptom of post modernism.
Specialization produces benefits. Systems are established to codify, regulate, and fund it. The point of diminishing returns comes and goes. The system lives on for its own reasons. We are way way beyond the point of negative returns now.
The system has a monopoly. The system must continue to "progress" no matter how absurd it becomes.
Not just theological studies, but engineering, geo-politics, economics,...
That is why we live in clownland

@@jasonlewis5350 Yeah but that will make a lot of problems, cause every expert could assert his worldview into academia because there are few people who know about it, so access to verification of these claims is difficult. Hardly anyone can detect it. As a person dealing with philosophy and philosophy of science(not as a scholar or even an educated person in this field, more as a passionate person who loves it and has personally studied this stuff hundreds of hours), I discover that many "scholars" push their worldview as fact, and many studies, for example have pre-imposed assumptions or philosophical frameworks beyond which they cannot go.
What I also noticed is that scientists tend to dress all research in such an intellectual narrative bubble, because this means that someone outside their sphere will not be able to understand what they are talking about. The best field where I have noticed this is ancient history like Babylon, the Sumerians, Mesopotamia. There is so much fiction in the "facts" and so much failure to show "conclusions" based on fragmentary data that it is difficult to understand what is true, because their pride does not allow them to say that they DON'T KNOW SOMETHING. I also believe that a certain narrative is being pushed, but this is my personal opinion based on observations.

The scholars do sit there and focus their efforts in bad ways. One scholar will be an expert on brush strokes, another in luminary interactions (colors), another in canvas materials, and finally one in environmental impact for storage, yet none step back and say this is Stary Night and here is what was in the mind of Vincent van Gogh for the big picture as a whole.
That’s the problem with scholars, and they need the Spirit of Truth to do that. Michael was one of the few that respected the Spirit of Truth in looking for the big picture.

    • @Michael_the_Servant

@@Dexter.001 , well that’s you. You can either be a respecter of people or the Truth. (Deuteronomy 1:17) God is not a respecter of people. (Romans 2:11) There were times Dr. Heiser was wrong, and then there were times when Michael was spot on.
It isn’t a sexual fantasy that angels took on flesh and produced offspring. It is scriptural, I mean Jesus did it, so no one else could?
Furthermore, when you do scholarly work, you tend to use words with scholarly definitions. SPECIES is merely a kind or sort of something, often one that is LIVING. It shares a root with the word SPECIMEN. Do you disagree that God is unique and no one else is like Him?
Michael was quite reserved in saying what the scriptures actually say, because when you actually discuss what it says, people like you and all the others who have been taught incorrect tradition for hundreds of years jump to discredit us. If you had the Spirit of Truth in you, you would know what I say is true. Instead you’ll ignore the scriptures that had Jesus rebuking Pharisees and correcting the Tradition of the Elders. He was no different than the prophets before Him.

@@Dexter.001 , I’ll be following up later to what you wrote, but here’s a short response. Unfortunately for you, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, God gave me a deeper understanding of the scriptures than what Dr. Heiser actually knew and taught, so I can tell you he is not an apostate, and you should be cautious in bearing false witness against him. There is much more to the topic than what you know, even what Dr. Heiser knew.
Moses originally was not an Elohim, but God made Moses an Elohim. Go read Exodus 7:1 in the Hebrew Language. Pure and simple he wasn’t an Elohim, but then he became one.
Deuteronomy 32:8-9 takes place before Abraham and before Israel, as it occurred during the time of Peleg, so how then were the nations divided unto the Sons of Israel? Pure and simple they weren’t, LXX is correct in attributing this to Son’s of God that are not the Sons of Israel.
I didn’t learn this from Dr. Heiser, because I never heard him mention the fact of Exodus 7:1 with Moses. I found Michael when looking for others who saw what I saw in the text, because I know there is no private interpretation. If God is going to show me things in the text that you don’t know, He will give you the means to confirm it. Dr. Heiser was but one of a few witnesses I found that understood parts of scripture that most do not.

@@Dexter.001 , You did talk about Sons of God being Sons of Israel in your post, but you did not post about Deuteronomy 32:8 nor did you post about Exodus 7:1. This is exactly the reason I brought them up in my short reply. Both of those refute your conflation of Sons of God with Sons of Israel and the understanding of what Jesus was speaking to as being “gods.”
I did not discredit your claim as a whole, as parts of what you mentioned are correct, but your full understanding is not. Your argument is like that of a flat-earther saying Governments and NASA lie, thus the world is flat. Do Governments and NASA lie? Yes, but the world still isn’t flat. You can be partly correct and still totally wrong. Did not Satan state truths from the scriptures, but do so in a way that made them lies?
I, like Ryan, was going to give you a long detailed response later today, but your hubris is so over the top, you would never be willing to accept truth if it hit you like a ton of bricks. I’ll pray that God softens your heart and brings you into repentance so that you someday can know the truth. So while you are certainly not swine, I will not be casting pearls down here.

Those who reject God’s truth for the traditions of man will not enter His kingdom:
The Trinity is of man’s tradition. God controls Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and all of the angels with His power and spirit that lives in them. Everything they speak and do is commanded to them from God. The Trinity is not of God: man says that Jesus is God, but both God the Father and Jesus say differently in Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 45:5, John 17:3.
God was never born or born of man (Numbers 23:19), therefore he has no mother.
Denominations are not of God, for there is only one way to God the Father and that is through Jesus, His only begotten Son. There are *_thousands of denominations,_* all with different beliefs and practices; it is *proof* that they are the traditions of man and not of God.

    • @Shawn-q3x

@@SOX-9 You can believe what you wish, but what do you mean by "the way Jesus spoke about himself." Did he speak about himself as if he were God?
Because if so, then his doctrine is not true:
"Jesus answered them, and said, *My doctrine is not mine,* but *_his that sent me._* [17] If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, *_whether it be of God,_*_ or whether I speak _*_of myself._* [18] He that _speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory:_ but _he that seeketh his glory _*_that sent him,_* the same is true, and _no unrighteousness is in him."_ (John 7:16-18)
"For _I have not spoken _*_of myself;_*_ but _*_the Father_*_ which sent me,_ HE gave me *a commandment,* what I should say, and what I should speak" (John 12:49).
