I am new in CM and these unedited videos are very instructive for me. Finally I can see how you use your camera, how you plan your attack etc. AAR videos are really fun to watch but these unedited videos are very instructive.
Two AT guns is pretty standard for a Soviet infantry (any type) battalion, so from the information on the field we can determine that the opponent probably has a force based around an infantry battalion (shocking)
"They might move the AT Gun" Sir, basically every single towed gun in combat mission takes a minute or two to set up and like, five, to pack up; and once it is packed up you need a carrier or something(tm) to move it anywhere quickly
Great game. A tip for what it's worth, if you're moving troops around in houses, i'd advise using a slower movement speed to avoide being spotted, especialy for the last movement node when still undiscovered.
I was absolutely certain there'd be a second AT gun on that corner. 7 Minutes is such a long time for mortars to indirect fire that I'd be sorely tempted to just start firing a turn 1 light bombardment at whatever buildings or avenues I suspected the enemy might be near, at least for half the mortars. T-34 is in a great defensive position, but not really a position to stop you from moving anywhere you want to in the early game. And, in the mid game, you'd hopefully have your tanks in good positions, plus infantry with AT rocketen way up further and close enough to be a threat. Anyway, hopefully you'll conduct a sick tank desant rush with flammenwerfen inf later on!
In this scenario I should have gotten some pre-battle intel, but because of the order we started I didn't get that. That could potentially have revealed the AT gun before the battle even started and I could have given it a Turn-1 81mm mortar stonk. Sadly ballsed that up though, so just got to live with it :)
Also if I’m not mistaken, this is 42 so no Panzershrecks here yet (tho I may have missed if we still have them and panzerfausts due to the whole 1944/45 situation with these troops) but what AT they would have was anti-tank guns and AT-rifles tho I don’t know if the Germans have been given an option to take them.
It seems the Germans don't get ATRs in any time period currently in CM, which is actually quite weird given how Germany never actually took their ATRs fully out of service.
“43 minutes? It’s loads of time”
Famous last words, Hapless
I'm anxious when i only have an hour on a mission 🙃
It's loads of time when you've gotten your squad leaders in the C basement...

Yep. I find this a lot harder for the Soviets because I just don't play that much Red Thunder.
looking at name plates for 10m instead of all this tactical planning

You can move an AT gun for a few tiles with the „move“ command without packing it up (it has wheels)
In this case, they could (labouriously) wheel it back a few metres without undeploying and it would be invisible
Great game.

Break out the javelin
That would make it a lot easier
Pre-44 tank hunting not for the faint of heart
It's (tank hunting) probably worse for the Soviets
Longer or more videos please 🥺

I have a question: Why are you not using some probing fire into some of the buildings?
Because Holoween is smart enough not to shoot back
Well I'm not as smart then 😅
Tank duel incoming? :O
hi
