Obviously Mimii wanted to rekindle things with Ayo. It wasn't even up for debate until Mimii started lying on the show about it. It's so annoying that that context (Nicole telling Mimii to pursue Ayo since she still wanted him, Joey telling Ayo that 'we do this for love' as he tried to get him onto the terrace, Mimii overhearing Ayo and Joey's conversation at the bottom of the stairs and going back onto the terrace since she thought Joey would convince Ayo to go up and then lastly Mimii giving Ayo the eyes throughout her conversation with him afterwards, smiling at him to try and get him to laugh and talking about how her feelings for him were knocking on the door whilst her tried to end things with her as gently and politely as possible) was completely left out of the clips they showed which allowed Mimii to lie and manipulate the situation.

Joey got dragged. TBH, he would've been dragged either way. If he didn't speak up, Josh would have been mad at him. If he brought it up in a sneaky way as he did, he'd be flogged for it. If he brought it up politely to Josh, it wouldn't make sense because his loyalty should be to Mimii, as Joey knew her first. If he stuck it on to Mimii to tell Josh, she would have gas-lighted him.

Watching the Aftersun made me realise more about this situation deeper. As much as a brat Joey is, but I do feel he doesn’t have any bad intentions.
