Hello, I am wondering why there are some 30 mm horizontal lines on both edges of the paper while printing?The distance between the horizontal lines is 62 mm. Also I see there is a powder on the photo drum (long horizontal streaks from one end of the drum till the other end). Thank You.
@@viandant5 Hello,actually,I have a problem with Samsung cartridge (SCX 3405 printer). I filled the cartridge with powder, changed the photo drum and chip but the quality of the printing is unsatisfactory.Now I see some shadowing of the text. The main text appears as a shadow 64 mm above and the main text that is at 64 mm is shadowed by the text which is 64 mm below. Also at the bottom of the page there is a thin horizontal black line and some two black dots (at the same spot). I see that there is powder on the photo drum as a circle close to the gear side.I tried to roughen up the felt filter but this powder circle still appears after every printing.
You can use old chip but there are 2 methods how to do it. Either get 5 new other chips from aliexpress or somewhere. The printer should remember the last 5 chips, so your old chip as 6th chip will be reusable, don;t lose those 5 other chips, they again can be used to delete old memory and replace with new one. Or you jailbrake the printer, if it is still possible in 2023, by pushing buttons of printer in somekind of order. The chip trick should work, as you might have guesed, if they increase memory on a chip, they will have to pay more for production, meaning less profits. Or they never updated their firmware ever again and button trick still works nowadays. Also you can just get an old samsung laser printer, hp have bought their devision, while using old tech, you can place hp cartridge.
So it's means for any refill of cartridge.. the chips need to be change... Without changing of chips it will not work And how much can it be in Ugandan money
