I don't really like videos provided by our professors, but this one is informative and organized. The explanations are easy to understand. 👍🏻
I love this episode. Thank you. Philo was my first choice for a uni course, but because of circumstances, I end up taking computer science.
I'm a Psych grad and I'm a current MAGC student. It led me to Philosophy but walang school na nag ooffer sa province namin. Di din naman ako pwede sa Seminaryo kasi babae ako hahahahahahahaaaah. It's sad but I'm so happy to watch this episode kase na inspire ako mag basa na ulet hahahaha
Philosophy and Psychology is worth taking.
That's right. Philosophy makes us see the bigger pictures. It makes us see the forest and not the trees, so to speak. It is part of critical thinking that we consider the totality when we think of the particular. Gabriel Marcel calls this form of thinking secondary reflection. While the enterprising man sees the tree in terms of how much money it could produce when turned into commercial lumber or boxes of match, one who thinks philosophically might otherwise marvel at why a tree is so beautiful a creation in the whole of reality, something to be cared for and nurtured. While a hard line businessman might tend to see other people as things to manipulate and use for gain, the philosopher might see himself as someone whose greatest vulnerability is not that he might be hit on the head by a bullet or a stone or that he will not personally succeed in his intended ambitions under the sun, his greatest vulnerability is instead, that another person's misery hits him. What I'm saying here is that Philosophy is still a very relevant and important discipline even today since it makes us think and live properly. As Plato has correctly said, I did not live in order to think but I think in order to live.
God bless the Philippines !! 🙏🙏

Thank you so much for this very fruitful discussion sir leloy and sir jj. I am wanting to watch this type of video since I am an upcoming 1st year college student and I am carefully analyzing what and which course to choose. Now, I think I can come up with an answer towards the problem I am currently facing. Although this video is 2 years old, the value it carries still has a great impact in different aspects of our lives. Once again thank you sir leloy and sir jj😇🙏.
