(He is a normal man but has a fox tail and ears) Star Fox Proof: In Star Fox Command one of the alternate endings is that Fox goes into a depression and Falco finds him drinking. They go off galaxy and join the F-Zero cup with their Arwings Modified.
The only thing I disagree with is that they take place at the same time. The architecture in the Zelda series is typically much more medieval and rural, as opposed to Mario- in Sunshine they ride an airplane, and I don't see airplanes being in the same time period of any of the Zelda games

Truth is Mario and Link live in different universes as in different dimensions and multiverses but they have the same Omniverse. It's called Nintendo Omniverse which is usually where the two creative hand entities summon all Characters from different universes to fight as they call it The Super Smash Bros.

Kid Icarus is in Heaven though so it'd be the afterlife which technically would be a different universe but could still be connected.Icarus is an angel after all so maybe he greets Link and Mario when they have nothing left to revive them?

The souls are in a costant cicle of reincarnation, once someone dies, his soul is brought to the Underworld, where he must find his way to the City of Souls. If he manage to reach it (sone creatures around predates traveling souls) he can get into the Stream of Souls, that's pretty much a line for who gets to reincarnate. Messing with this cicle is firbidden, even for the gods.

Even though we dont see Ganon or Demise in SMB Demises curse could also include Bowser. How many times is he thrown into Lava just to be completely fine later. Bowser has Demises hatred, Mario has the spirit of the hero and Peach has the blood of the goddess.
They could be a retelling of the same story just by a different culture or region. If you think about it the story of the LOZ is quite similar to super Mario Bros. Bad guy abducts princess, bad guy takes over kingdom bad guy supposedly dies etc. you see what I'm saying.

Mario Kart 8 almost confirms this, in the Hyrule Circuit (in which you can see both Hylians and Toads cheering for the racers) and the fact that Link is a playable driver in the game. The only thing bringing this fact down is that the Mario Kart series is just a side game and wouldn't really count as cannon (almost like Smash Brothers).
I know another connection. The boss of Mario 64 in "Shifting Sand Land" level, *inside the temple*. It is a monster with a head with one eye, and has 2 hands with one eye in each also. In Zelda Wind Waker, in one of the *temples* I think, you can find the same monster! That's a big link...

Here is a crazy thought. Browser is the darkness of demise. Princess peach is hylia and mario is the hero! Browser always takes princess Peach just like princess Zelda and Mario has to travel across the terrain to save her. And the Mario worlds could be considered dungeon with a mini boss and a boss. So I think they are the same world. There is too much similarities to each game.

Hey Dr.Wily & viewers I just finished watching your vid where you contemplated who was the real bad guy in Majora's mask and when I heard that the Great Deity was the one who made the mask (Possibly not cannon) it made me think about the theory of the interlopers. Since we also suspect the interlopers to have made the mask is it at all possible that the Great Deity is an Interloper? It would explain how he was able to defeat someone on the level of Majora the first time and turn him into a mask since the Interlopers are so skilled with magic that they were a threat to the Gods themselves. Personally, I think the theory that Mario is a stage play in the Zelda universe and some of the creatures that were real in the zelda universe ended up appearing in the play.
It is pretty safe to say Demise's Curse was Broken in the Adult Timeline. Also there is no split in Skyrward Sword! It is a time loop! Where Demise is resurrected Ghirahim in the past, defeated and imprisoned, years later comes back as the Imprisoned where he tries escaping again causing Link to crush him with the temple causing Ghirahim to go back in time to resurrect Demise where Link defeats Demise, he becomes the imprissioned who tries escaping years later... See! A Loop! A Time Loop doesn't make a split.

Zeref Pretty much any bad guy in a Japanese fairy story is called "The Demon King", or 魔王 (maou), even in a less serious situation like Mario Brothers. As for being the King of all Koopa, of course nothing keeps a monster/person from having multiple titles.
A theory I have is if there is actually an alternate version of Link that lives in the Mushroom Kingdom, most notably from Mario RPG and Mario Kart 8. I know the easy answer is "those are just cameos!" But wheres the fun in that?
I think Mario galaxy is a pretty basis to go on, because it's one of the few games where you get to see what the planet the mushroom kingdom is on looks like from outer space.
I think the idea of Mario's world existing in an alternate reality would make more sense. And Mario and Luigi are both Link's counterparts, while Peach is Zelda's, and Bowser is Ganon's. Mario parallels with the pride and ego of Link as a hero, which can make him be kind of a jerk at times (the kind of hero that every world can live without). Luigi parallels with the kindness, courage, and bravery of Link, which is makes Link a great respectable hero (the kind of hero every world needs). So basically, with all that said, Luigi is the true proper parallel counterpart to Link, hence why he's the one who wears green. Now for Peach. Peach is more like Zelda than Daisy, while Daisy is more like Malon. And Bowser is more Ganon than Ganondorf. While King Boo is like Vaati or Demise. And Rosalina is like Hylia. Wario is like the greedy quirky side of Ravio, while Waluigi is like the creepy mysterious side of Ravio. And Nabbit bears a strong resemblance to Ravio's Bunny outfit. So basically: Mario = Link's Pride and Ego Luigi = Link's Kindness and Courage Peach = Zelda Daisy = Malon Rosalina = Hylia Bowser = Ganon King Boo = Vaati or Demise Wario = Ravio's quirkiness and greed Walugi = Ravio's mysteriousness Nabbit = Ravio's Disquise Kamek = Twinrova Anyways, that's my theory.

Legend of Zelda was originally thought to be an adventure version of Mario. So they maybe were lazy and didn't replace the Mario Items and world with new Zelda Items and a new Zelda world. Or they liked the Mario stuff that much that they put it into the Zelda games. This sounds really realistic to me, because they hid a picture of Super Mario in Occarina of time.

It's so strange how Mario appears in Legend of Zelda, and Link appears in Super Mario. Like they're just there. I think I can agree that Super Mario is a franchise that branched off of the Legend of Zelda franchise sometime before the events of the Zelda timeline, due to Mario's many incarnations In Zelda, and the random hinders of Link in Mario.
It’s also weird how Link is weirdly similar to Luigi. Let me explain: Their name start with a « L », their favorite color is green and their mission is to protect the kingdom of their respective series. What if… one of the Link had an older brother being similar to Mario?

Half was "Fruity" Mario, which was great, and half was "Berry" Zelda ...which was absolutely disgusting...Maybe these two universes are just sharing the same cereal box which is why you sometimes find little bits of one in the other.

Link's Awakening absolutely does count. Koholint Island is a lot like Sub Con. They both exist in dreams, but they are very real. The dream world seems to be a parallel universe of sorts, which also explains the enemies from SMB2 that also appear in Link's Awakening.
Maybe Mario comes before zelda. The mask salesman's Mario mask might come form Mario during the zelda era. If he was on the verge of death, and the salesman played the song of healing to get a mask of him.
Maybe in the modern future, Hyrule became the Mushroom Kingdom and probably Mario, Peach and Bowser are just another incarnations of Link, Zelda and Demise in that future XD

Welp, the Star Bits and the Gratitute Crystals are two different objects. The Star Bits are made of Star Dust from Dying Stars and are for the Lumas nothing more than food while the Gratitute Crystals are just made of happyness and it can help friendly Humans to become Human.
I'm sorry but the Star bits and Gratitude Crystals seem like you're stretching your theory a bit far. The Gratitude Crystals though they look similar to Star bits aren't the same. Star bits come from outer space and are used to feed Lumas. Gratitude Crystals form when a human makes another human happy and can be used to turn a demon into a human if enough are gathered. Yet some are left around in Skyloft when there is a small amount of happiness in that location. (like Link saving his bird so 1 gratitude crystal formed. And Zelda helped out so Link had formed a Gratitude Crystal.)
I think the Mario games could be set in Hyrules future, but set during a period between reincarnation cycles. It may be a hundred years or so between Ganon and Links deaths and rebirths. As for the Mario mask, well, time travel is a thing in both series.
I have a theory about all this my theory is that Bowser is a reincarnation of demise hatred just like how Gannon was and peach is it a descendent of Zelda but at this point there is no link because bloodline of the original hero is forever gone so Hyrule needed a new hero and that was Mario.

What if they're just different kingdoms across an ocean? I mean, if the Mushroom Kingdom and Koopa Kingdom exist, I'm sure there are other ones such as Sarasa or whatever Daisy is from. Hyrule/Termina/Lorule could all just be other continents across a great ocean. Say, Hyrule is where America is, the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms are in Europe, the jungle DK is from is Africa, and Sonic and friends are where Australia is.
Also, a multi-character/multiplayer game with Mario, Sonic, DK and Link would be awesome. Mario would have tall jumps, Sonic would have speed bursts, DK would be able to climb walls and things, and Link could cut down obstacles with the Master Sword. Also, wouldn't it be cool if Mario started using a plunger as a weapon?

The possibility of these two games being in the same universe is a bit dodgy, but you explained it pretty well. Have you ever thought of the possibility of Mario and Splatoon being in the same universe, though? I know the Inllings in MK8 Deluxe aren't enough evidence, but there's more. Besides there similar art styles, the jellyfish creatures on Dolphin Shoals can also be found in Inkopolis, which teases a connection between the two franchises.
Mario enemies and warp whistles/recorders? Sure. ...but I'm totally discounting the idea of star bits and gratitude crystals being connected. They're just both konpeitō. Star bits are edible, honey-flavoured, power-holding space rocks. Gratitude crystals are feeling of gratitude synthesized into a crystalline form that are capable of transfiguration (and possibly banishing weaker dark energies). They're totally different. The only thing similar about them is appearance, and, even then, *_it's freakin' konpeitō;_* the only iconography that could be more recognizable (in Japan) would be magatama! If even!

In Mario 64 the keys for the castle look similar to boss keys in OoT.
Look how far the technology in Mushroom Kingdoom has gone. If it was the same world, some Toads in Airplanes had already discovered Hyrule.

Hey Dr.Wily & viewers I just finished watching your vid where you contemplated who was the real bad guy in Majora's mask and when I heard that the Great Deity was the one who made the mask (Possibly not cannon) it made me think about the theory of the interlopers. Since we also suspect the interlopers to have made the mask is it at all possible that the Great Deity is an Interloper? It would explain how he was able to defeat someone on the level of Majora the first time and turn him into a mask since the Interlopers are so skilled with magic that they were a threat to the Gods themselves. I would love to hear peoples opinions.

Zeref Pretty much any bad guy in a Japanese fairy story is called "The Demon King", or 魔王 (maou), even in a less serious situation like Mario Brothers. As for being the King of all Koopa, of course nothing keeps a monster/person from having multiple titles.
Bowser has run gambits to take over the entire galaxy. I'm pretty sure if the story was written it would be fought to a draw.

Talon bears a very similar appearance to Mario, put a red hat on his head, and maybe a longer shirt, and he would look a lot like Mario.

A theory I have is if there is actually an alternate version of Link that lives in the Mushroom Kingdom, most notably from Mario RPG and Mario Kart 8. I know the easy answer is "those are just cameos!" But wheres the fun in that?

Plot Twist: The Zelda Decline Timeline splits AGAIN and leads into Super Mario World, Ganon turning into Bowser.
I think the idea of Mario's world existing in an alternate reality would make more sense. And Mario and Luigi are both Link's counterparts, while Peach is Zelda's, and Bowser is Ganon's.
Mario parallels with the pride and ego of Link as a hero, which can make him be kind of a jerk at times (the kind of hero that every world can live without). Luigi parallels with the kindness, courage, and bravery of Link, which is makes Link a great respectable hero (the kind of hero every world needs). So basically, with all that said, Luigi is the true proper parallel counterpart to Link, hence why he's the one who wears green.
Now for Peach. Peach is more like Zelda than Daisy, while Daisy is more like Malon. And Bowser is more Ganon than Ganondorf. While King Boo is like Vaati or Demise. And Rosalina is like Hylia. Wario is like the greedy quirky side of Ravio, while Waluigi is like the creepy mysterious side of Ravio. And Nabbit bears a strong resemblance to Ravio's Bunny outfit.
So basically:
Mario = Link's Pride and Ego
Luigi = Link's Kindness and Courage
Peach = Zelda
Daisy = Malon
Rosalina = Hylia
Bowser = Ganon
King Boo = Vaati or Demise
Wario = Ravio's quirkiness and greed

Maybe they’re in different places in the same place. I wouldn’t say Mario is more technologically advanced because of botw but they have different kinds of tech and different kinds of magic.
Legend of Zelda was originally thought to be an adventure version of Mario.
So they maybe were lazy and didn't replace the Mario Items and world with new Zelda Items and a new Zelda world. Or they liked the Mario stuff that much that they put it into the Zelda games. This sounds really realistic to me, because they hid a picture of Super Mario in Occarina of time.

*the Four Swords for GBA had a chain chomp item that would actively eat enemies and knock rupees out of nearby players when in use

It's so strange how Mario appears in Legend of Zelda, and Link appears in Super Mario. Like they're just there. I think I can agree that Super Mario is a franchise that branched off of the Legend of Zelda franchise sometime before the events of the Zelda timeline, due to Mario's many incarnations In Zelda, and the random hinders of Link in Mario.
It’s also weird how Link is weirdly similar to Luigi. Let me explain: Their name start with a « L », their favorite color is green and their mission is to protect the kingdom of their respective series. What if… one of the Link had an older brother being similar to Mario?
They also shared a cereal box, if anyone remembers Nintendo cereal from the mid 80s. Half was "Fruity" Mario, which was great, and half was "Berry" Zelda ...which was absolutely disgusting...Maybe these two universes are just sharing the same cereal box which is why you sometimes find little bits of one in the other.

Link's Awakening absolutely does count. Koholint Island is a lot like Sub Con. They both exist in dreams, but they are very real. The dream world seems to be a parallel universe of sorts, which also explains the enemies from SMB2 that also appear in Link's Awakening.
Maybe Mario comes before zelda. The mask salesman's Mario mask might come form Mario during the zelda era. If he was on the verge of death, and the salesman played the song of healing to get a mask of him.

Welp, the Star Bits and the Gratitute Crystals are two different objects.
The Star Bits are made of Star Dust from Dying Stars and are for the Lumas nothing more than food while the Gratitute Crystals are just made of happyness and it can help friendly Humans to become Human.

I'm sorry but the Star bits and Gratitude Crystals seem like you're stretching your theory a bit far. The Gratitude Crystals though they look similar to Star bits aren't the same. Star bits come from outer space and are used to feed Lumas. Gratitude Crystals form when a human makes another human happy and can be used to turn a demon into a human if enough are gathered. Yet some are left around in Skyloft when there is a small amount of happiness in that location. (like Link saving his bird so 1 gratitude crystal formed. And Zelda helped out so Link had formed a Gratitude Crystal.)

I think the Mario games could be set in Hyrules future, but set during a period between reincarnation cycles. It may be a hundred years or so between Ganon and Links deaths and rebirths. As for the Mario mask, well, time travel is a thing in both series.

What if they're just different kingdoms across an ocean? I mean, if the Mushroom Kingdom and Koopa Kingdom exist, I'm sure there are other ones such as Sarasa or whatever Daisy is from. Hyrule/Termina/Lorule could all just be other continents across a great ocean. Say, Hyrule is where America is, the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms are in Europe, the jungle DK is from is Africa, and Sonic and friends are where Australia is.
Also, a multi-character/multiplayer game with Mario, Sonic, DK and Link would be awesome. Mario would have tall jumps, Sonic would have speed bursts, DK would be able to climb walls and things, and Link could cut down obstacles with the Master Sword. Also, wouldn't it be cool if Mario started using a plunger as a weapon?

The possibility of these two games being in the same universe is a bit dodgy, but you explained it pretty well. Have you ever thought of the possibility of Mario and Splatoon being in the same universe, though? I know the Inllings in MK8 Deluxe aren't enough evidence, but there's more. Besides there similar art styles, the jellyfish creatures on Dolphin Shoals can also be found in Inkopolis, which teases a connection between the two franchises.
