The sights within each tier are ranked by my tastes, but all sights in each tier are close enough to each other that it is personal preference between them. Let me know how much you agree/disagree with this list! 😄
Any sight that blocks lower peripheral vision belongs in the D-tier in general, or at least the C-tier. Decent players instantly drop down in the fight and there were so many times that I just lost track of the enemy who pulled out Houdini Act right in front of me. Also, once you master recoil control and unlock decent attachments, medium sights (even flir) become attractive alternatives to 1x sights. Unless, of course, your playstye is up-close and in-your-face.
Which sights do you think I've misplaced based on the lower peripheral? I've noticed in BattleBit I am spraying lower to the floor as the drop to prone is almost instant in the game and helps with that. I'll cover the mediums too, although that depends a lot on screen size/resolution/viewing distance (I personally can use 1x on all full auto guns and don't benefit from additional, especially with the move spam meta as you pointed out)
@@ClippyTactical With legs counting as body, aiming for the crotch and letting the recoil give you one to the D, one to the chest and one to the head is a based strat and also covers drop shotters.
@@bennyb.1742 Hard disagree with that, that'll result in you shooting flesh on legs, breaking body armour, then breaking helmet against fresh armoured players, giving them the most effective HP
not sure why but the striker almost feels like a pseudo 2x scope for me. feels like i can reach out further then other 1x scopes and find myself using it for guns i prefer to fight at range with
I tend to play the SVD, SCAR or M20 quite abit with that thing on the side.. it always bums me out how large the dot is in most red dots compared to it :p@@ClippyTactical
Red dot is the only sight that should be used in this game on any gun. it is objectively the best sight because as you said.. the housing blocks the least information. all other sights are just niche fun scopes to play with. I guess the argument here is if you WANT less information displayed to you so you can focus on the target more, maybe that does help for longer range fights. Or the fact that the scope is closer to the screen gives you a placebo effect of being able to actually see the target 'closer'.
Hey, I know you’re more into doing weapon guides, but I’d appreciate a guide on the FLIR scope attachment if you have any interest. If you can get over the nausea inducing framerate, I’ve found it has a surprisingly good niche at providing information on enemy positioning. I like to run it on suppressed full-auto guns or DMRS, choosing a uniform camouflage to blend in with the environment, a suppressor, and just picking off unsuspecting enemies from concealment. Sourmilk911 has a great video where he used it on a suppressed EBR with a bipod, full-autoing it almost like a BAR in WW2, which I tried out and it was quite fun. I’m aware you’ve never done specific single attachment videos before, but given your analytical view and crisp voice, I’d love to see what builds you can make around the FLIR. Maybe you’ll be surprised like I was? I think it also has a niche on weapons with a bad headshot multiplier, as the way it paints entire enemies in bright-white makes it easier to shoot at random bits of the enemy sticking out of cover as opposed to targeting specific weak-spots (I’ve seen people shred with it on guns like the vector but I don’t know if that’s because they were already insane players to begin with). Ps: the reticle is phenomenally and infamously horrific, which was a confirmed choice by the devs to balance the scope. If you don’t already have your shadow resolution set to the max in your graphics settings, do so, as turning it up makes your reticles smaller and more transparent for some reason.
I can't get on with the FLIR at all, the scope is awful as you mentioned, but the framerate of feels really slow and unresponsive to me (it's maybe 30fps or even lower, and I play with 180 FPS)
Also if you ever going to redo this sight tier list, also consider the sight's usability with NVGs when ranking them. (some can't be used with nvgs at all, and some have too much of a thick reticle to be any good) also include the canted ones pls
I think NVG's should be done in it's own list as theres no point in averaging a sight's usefulness based on day and night combined, as they're seperate game modes Good point on canted, I will include on the next one when they change sights.
Great vid. F sight is not bad as secondry sight without the huge frame. And the slip could be used on big flat maps to cover long shooting line. Penalty is ads and recoil but fun to use. They went too far with bulky frames making most sights unusable.
Much like gun balance, there's always got to be a best sight, so I don't mind running any of these sights, anything B tier and up doesn't hold me back that often which is the majority, overall they did a good job!
I personaly love the razor, i know its bad scope, but i like how it looks on the gun, i dont tryhard that much, and i just wanna have fun and good feeling gun, anyway its just personal preferences, i am sure each scope has its fans
Are we sure the actual magnifications on some of the "1x" sights are all 1x, a few seem slightly different and i remember someone showing the strikefire was 1.1x for example, idk about the rest. Do you know if there's different aim down sight times as well?
I believe all ads times are identical. Regarding 1.1x zoom, I did test them all in the test range and couldn't notice a difference so I left it out, so if there is one, it's very slight
Control stat is how quickly the sight recentres after each shot. I wouldnt worry about such small changes, as how the sight behaves seems to depend much more on how the sight is modelled compared to this number
Strikefire above reflex? D: idk man I just can't manage a sight when the red blob in the middle is larger than my target's torso. Great list, and I loved hearing your reasonings. I never took lean spamming into account. One thing to note is that the holo sights rotate around a different axis, and the Holo P-K has MUCH more wiggle room. Like if you flick 180 degrees while aimed, the walls of the Holo P-K will block your centre screen, completely obstructing your view. I'd rate it unusable in messy melee engagements because of this.
@@ClippyTactical Oh it's worse than red dot, for sure. I tried, but in the end it's not worth it. Due to its smaller dot and thin boarder it's kinda okay in some(?) select circumstances. Like the underground railway in Frugis or the warehouses specifically in Valley. But the moment you leave those particular range engagements it's in the way again. I do run kobra a lot, though, so maybe my eyes are just weird.

Hi, I don't, but if you build a sky fortress on one edge of the map in your spawn, and a frend does so on the other team, you should be able to kill each other across any map if you build high enough. I'd say eduwardo or valley are your safest bets to try for it as they're quite long.
russian sights are pretty much gutted compared to their siege and bf4 counterparts. though i find it interesting you rated the both the holos higher than strikefire and razor which are quite precise with their center dots. the holo reticles in this game are quite big
I find the razors reticle jumps around way more in firefight than either holo option, and generally I like the thicker red dots as it doesn't get lost as easily as the fainter ones

Idk, it's just a slightly worse version of the Holographic, the C tier sight has much bigger problems to me (losing reticule, clutter). PKA-S is good, but to me it's definitely the worst of the circular optics and I can't do too well with it.
