This is a really good video!!! I hated interviewing nursing personnel and they tell me the same thing "im a team player", I love helping people", or the kicker how much does the position pay? The last question is a fast track out of the door. Never ask how much does the job pay. The rule is the first one to discuss pay is the LOSER. There are so many nurse right now believe it are not but the field is becoming flooded with new nurses. I agree with you that you have to come to the employer with a sale type of attitude because they are buying a service.
From an employer perspective, when I am looking for a nurse. I can spot insecurity, deceitful, and quality, I can since when someone is acting and when some one is really knowing what they are talking about. For example, I might give a nursing procedure or acronym to the candidate and say it wrong purposely to see if they will catch it or if they will correct me. The style in correction will give me a feel for the person in how they will deal with my subordinate staff (nurses aides, HHA, etc). The interview answers were ok :). You have inspired me to get my nursing degree so I can better understand the nursing model. Take care.

College is so different from high-school. So many times the high-school student that had average grades or maybe even a few d's ;) is the student that buckles down and works hard and is the A student in college. While the A student in high-school that never opened a book never learned how to study and is completely unprepared for college. I got my first A in math in college not high-school if that is encouraging to you. I say ALWAYS take that chance to better yourself.

I have been to medical school before switching my career path to nursing school. I just love the close contacts nurses have with patients than just diagnosing diseases like doctors do. Will that raise a red flag in the nursing interview? Should I even put medical school education on my CV?
