The noise comes from the iron molecules literally vibrating throughout the cookware from the induction magnets.
I don't mind it as much. I use a white noise machine at night because I live in front of route 46 on the way to the George Washington Bridge. We mostly cook when everyone is awake in my small studio apartment.

That would be an opinion statement I'm very sorry. It is kind of loud, but I don't mind. I have 9 rats that make a crap load of noise in the apartment already and an african grey parrot that screams and curses. I knew it was going to have that energized coil sound like a humming. I wanted induction so I just ate it and got it anyway.

I have the Frigidaire gallery induction range and mine takes over 12 minutes to boil! Sometimes longer if use a bigger pan! Why?!?
That does not make sense. Do you have a multimeter to test the current draw? You need to see maybe you have voltage drop which will not be good in the long run for you.
@@thefurious69 I do not know what that means! But I will ask an electrician:) I also am going to order a different type of pan and see the difference- I bought new induction pots but wonder if they don’t work as well :(

Can you please put a decibel meter app on your phone to show how loud the stovetop is?

Do all inductions cooktop make that loud buzzing or is it just the cheaper ones?
The only induction cooktop that I did not hear a buzzing sound was on the 5800.00 Thermador induction cooktop. All the others have relays that hum. Not sure why they don't install solid state ones yet, maybe they are not as reliable at this point in time.
@@thefurious69 Wow. Ok. Yeah that’s rich folks prices. Saw a review where someone said the loud hum, buzzing I mainly caused when people use pots, pans that are not quite suitable for induction. I don’t know how much truth is there to that, but kinda makes sense to me.
