You know it would be nice if you would do these type of comparisons on their non-auto rookies. Some of us (myself included) can't or won't spend $1,000's on 1 rookie card who isn't already in the hall. I have almost everyone one of these guys in bowman Chrome's first parallels but not autographed.
Hey Chris! Thanks for the thought. The only reason I use Bowman Chrome autos is because there are consistent sales and it is a consistent card across all players. Rookie cards of players are not created equal (due to print runs and some players having more sets) like the Bowman Chrome auto is. I hope that makes sense!
What I find more interesting about the data are the spreads in terms of parallels compared to base. On some of these cards one could argue one particular parallel is undervalued when the others are over valued.

I would do PSA, but there are not enough sales on a majority of these players. A lot of these cards were graded with BGS and not PSA at release so I chose the grade that provides more data.

When you consider the different ways to get an average, i.e. mode, mean, and medium, you might have better numbers that make more true "average". Only saying this as you were struggling to make sense of the numbers you were sharing.

Freedie Freeman prices must be even more attractive now…….. Considering this video was posted prior to the World Series, I imagine that Freddie Freeman prices increased even more than they did when you obtained the data a month ago at the end of the regular season play. During this Series’ epic showdown between the Yankees and Dodgers (even more epic because it was the Yankees first chance to claim redemption following the 1981 loss to the Dodgers) Freeman continued and completed 6 consecutive days of World Series Home Runs (if you count his last 2 days from his prior appearance at the World Series as well), including the FIRST EVER WALK OFF WORLD SERIES GRAND SLAM (I did feel bad for poor Nestor Cortes, he had ONE JOB as closer lol), and Freeman deservingly won the World Series MVP. Freddie Freeman is sooo talented when he is healthy!

Just realized Goldschmidt has only 1 season over Machado. Goldschmidt has been the better player in that time but the difference in age has Goldschmidt probably out of baseball in a year or two whereas Manny probably has maybe 7. Manny has a good shot at being 3000/500 milestone guy where Goldschmidt is kind of in that Joey Votto category of hoping WAR is enough.
Goldy, Machado, and Votto will all make the HOF. Goldy is a lock to me at this point in his career. I agree his counting stats are not quite as strong as others, but Goldy's rate stats are better than Manny's, and Manny hasn't hit his decline stage yet. Thanks for watching!

If a veteran star player is still on a HOF trajectory and their prices are dropping, the problem is their cards were always over-priced.

I think he needs to really turn it around next year and have a complete season. Anything league average or below won't do his cards justice.
