CCCP was the wrong answer for the right questions. The West Europa has given right or at least the best from all given answers and is rich today. And Russians must say to themselves that they alone are guilty of their situation. We Poles can at least say that we were forced from outside the country. CCCP T-shirt and all signs of CCCP or Third Reich are crime in Poland but I am sure that Stacy has mad only a little provocation and joke with it.
CCCP had no chance even before it was established and could exist so long only by paying wages high enough not to die -- but without possibility to accumulate wealth as people in West could. Each market price is connected with all other prices and you can exchange milk against television set knowing their market prices (of course there must be some local differences but they are neglectable in explanation). The market in CCCP was not strong enough to create such prices system because of the state ownership of production and it was impossible to know how much things really cost. Factories could not produce effectively in consequence. In result CCCP had to fall even without war earlier or later.
In order to get the correct market price system the economic ideas (=companies) had to be isolated by the ownership of many different subjects/persons so they had to and can go bancrott if their time has come (not efficient enough). Each year perhaps 10% of companies go bancrott and their market share, machines and workers are being taken by their competitors. It was not the case of CCCP whose factories were connected by the state ownership and all were building one big factory -- CCCP was one big factory and market was very, very weak, almost not existing.
