Oh my gracious! I got married in 1976, and I made my set of everyday dishes. I had a 12-piece place setting of these Merry Mushrooms. I had the entire set of accessories too. I bought the green ware and painted everything while I made wedding plans. I later gave the whole set away to a thrift store because mushrooms in 70’s colors weren’t in style anymore. How dumb was that! Oh the memories your series is bringing back!!! And yes, there is a ladle for the soup toureen - keep looking.

Beautiful. But I think that small pot is a creamer to go with the sugar bowl and usually doesn’t have a lid.

If it’s Arnel’s #761 it is referred to as a creamer by other people with the mold. The sugar bowl is mold #762, if that helps id them at all.
My thoughts too. It's a creamer. No lid.

Does anyone else think the artist who made these mushroom mold set was Shelby in a past life?? 😊 I love how much she loves them!!
As stated by others, the "single serve coffee pot" is a creamer and YES there is a soup ladel! This collection is HUGE from what I can tell looking at various pictures. It would be amazing to see an entire collection painted by you. Perhaps that could be the finale of this season?
Shelby was obviously meant to have these mystery moulds to do justice to them. Her character fits them perfectly, and they are such a wonderful whimsical collection.

Don’t go crazy looking for the lid!😅There’s no lid for the “single serve coffee pot” because I think it’s actually a creamer! Like sugar bowl and creamer set! And usually those don’t have lids on them. Love the gold accents on those goth mushrooms, so incredibly gorgeous! This was so FUN! Love all the reveals😍🤩
Someone in a comment above said it is for creamer but that it does have a lid to go with it. They found pictures of the set online.
When you see a dog running full out across a lawn, that is pure dog joy. That is the same feeling Shelby gives out when she opens the mushroom molds, pure joy. it was like watching all the holidays roll out in 21 minutes.
I wonder if that tall "teapot" was actually a coffee pot? I know in a traditional silver hot beverage service set, there are always two pots with spouts and the taller one is for coffee. Also, once you get ALL the mushroom pieces organized, I think you should do one full set in YOUR favorite colorway. And then do all the ones everyone else likes, lol.
Agreed. That tall, slender shape is usually a coffee pot. :)

Do you think pottery like this could take the heat of hot coffee? I would love that! But I had a bad experience with a crazed glass coffee pot (exactly as you imagine!). It worked well for ages, then one day, BOOM! I've never poured hot coffee into a "pretty pot" again.
@@ambrr_lily Maybe you need to warm the pot up first before pouring boiling water into it. Much like they suggest warming thermos type containers before putting the end drink into it.

Yes! I can see it! It does not need to be neon (probably not existing colours in the pottery), but maybe some glace could give some shimmering etc. It would be cool! 😅 But probably goes far from shelby's normal style where everything is so deligatedly (beautifully) painted!
Like neon black light colors or make it look like a neon light with neon paint and white lines inside of the neon.

The mushroom canister was a blast from the past. My mom painted ceramics when I was little and she made a set of four for flour, sugar, etc. She picked the classic 70's color way of orange and brown.
Honestly I can't say mushrooms ever took my fancy until I started watching your content and seeing this beautiful collection. I know mushrooms have been a trend for a little and are getting more and more popular but something about this collection and your art has really stolen my heart. Something about it feels so comforting yet really magical and full of possibilities. Maybe its the fairy obsessed 90s kid in me but I just love the feeling this gives me.
Love the dark mushrooms and contrast. Would love to see how black with rainbow dots look. Like hundreds and thousands! ❤
I can envision the set with purple mushrooms with black dots next to the black ones, too. I love Halloween décor and that would fit in with my holiday table, perfectly. Love your work and your videos. Keep on and I'll keep watching.

Personally, I want to see something with soft pink mushrooms. I also love the wash u did with the black mushrooms, it made all the details stand out. That would look nice in other mushroom colors
My Mother had the mushroom canisters (flour, sugar, coffee, tea)colored yellow, brown, and dark green in the late 70’s or early 80’s.
Sears and roebuck 😂 My grandmother had the same set.
That sounds like such a fun kitchen vibe
She might have gotten them from the Sears&Roebuck catalogue!! The canisters were featured in the 1978 edition 😁

I love the black and gold. I bet the mushrooms would look so cute as black with neon gills, where no two mushrooms next to each other have the same color gills/stem.
I think the black set is my favourite so far! The only thing that could top it would be a purple/green/black/silver colorpalette. Now that I think about it.. is there a silver luster? I love the gold, but I'd love to see other metallics!
Also holy shit, I love the whole mushroom collection! It's so whimsical and cute! I would love to see the whole collection painted and on a table together. On the topic of color palettes for the mushrooms, I still have some ideas: halloween(orange, green, purple), psychedelic, pastell, alice in wonderland (black, white, red, light blue and gold?).
I do think silver would look even better than the gold with the black

The “teapot “ looks like the traditional size and shape for a chocolate or possible coffee pot - less likely to be an actual teapot. And yes, deviled egg plate for sure. ❤❤❤

14:36 That is a coffee pot, not a tea pot. Coffee pots are tall and skinny, tea pots are round. Supposedly it helps with the flavour while brewing.

What a fun collection I too would love to see a bright psychedelic color set. That would be different and I'm sure amazing. Like Alice in Wonderland with a sort of glow effect under the caps.
How about a black background with psychedelic mushroom cap colors? Like how a 60’s poster of mushrooms might look under black light while you were tripping on shrooms! 😂😂😂
No matter what colours you choose, you MUST give us a video with a finished set of each colour combination. ❤❤
The underglaze really makes the details of the pot pop. Would be interesting in light blue or light grey; even with the brighter colors.
I think you should totally do the whole set in red just because it would be so uniform and classic looking 😍🍄✨

That small teapot is exactly the size what you get in the cafe's in Ireland. You order a cuppa and the tea sits in the little teapot on the side. Normally you get 2 cups out of one teapot which is awesome! 🍀💚🍀
It's for cream or milk. For coffee or tea. My aunt had this set back in the 70s
Hello Shelby. I am a third generation ceramacist from the USA. This mushroom collection was done in the 70,s and 80,s. I poured molds for 30 years. It still makes me happy to see another generation become excited by doing this pottery. I wish you much success with all of this. I still enjoy going to ceramic places and buying from other potters to paint and fire for me. I no longer have the strength to pour the molds, but i very much enjoy watching you do this. Thank you
Just to let you know, the 2 1/2 quart soup tureen did come with a plate and a ladle. Several pictures of it exist on pinterest.

I like the black and gold. It would look really elegant without the antiquing too, less goth.
I like any colour palette you use for the mushrooms but red really is a classic!
I love this mushroom set, please do finish off the set. My suggestion for the coloring would be to paint the base a grey with golden brown accents and the mushrooms a light cream with no dots and the grass a wasabi green. LOL I think that would be lovely. Your work is truly magical, thank you for all your talent and effort.

While I love all the new mushroom moulds, I love your joy and excitement at seeing everything for the first time way more. You really are a lucky duck for getting them. I was thinking it would be interesting to see the background painted as a tree and then you thought the same thing and since we are soon to go into spring I'd suggest some spring coloured mushrooms sitting on a tree

I wonder if the lidless one is just a spouted milk jug? Normally milk jugs just have a little pouring tip thing but you never know! Could always sell it that way if you don’t find lids.

As a perfectionist and completionist, I love that you've been able to acquire so many more pieces in this set! The handle on that teapot/coffee pitcher was STUNNING! And as far as I can see, there were actually utensils...didn't see a ladle, but I did see a very fancy fork & spoon. And I absolutely need that Deviled Egg plate! OMG! That large plate with not a lot of "food room" could be a salad plate, but if it works to catch drips, who cares! You make the rules!

Love this new season of Mystery Molds! Please do a reveal of a whole finished mushroom set. I vote for classic red with white dots. You don’t have to show us painting each one, as you said before, we’ve seen you paint mushrooms before. But maybe do a video showing the rest of the mushroom molds, and then show a finished set at the end.

The tall pot with the spout is for coffee, and the short fat one is for tea. I love the whole set!! Can you imagine a kitchen all fitted with this lovely mushroom explosion!!
The lid search was giving Goldilocks and now all I can picture is this adorable set in the bear family’s woodland kitchen. So excited to see it all painted!!

I so desperately love the sugar pot I would buy that in a heartbeat 😍😍😍 please do a video painting the whole set! The black and gold was really cool, I loved the black wash to pick up the gill details on the inside though I think doing the wash on the outside was a bit too much, but the gold really classed it up. For this set I'd love to see it in the traditional red, but I think it would be cute to include some gold details
This is a very whimsical set. I believe with Mushroom there is a lot of designs to explore, since in Nature they are very diverse, with bright violet, blues and red colours, even glow in the dark ones. The partial set is amazing, although part of me would like to see a single one transformed into a fairy house. As a curiosity there is one mushroom named because was frequently consumed by the romans, Amanita Caesarean.

I really want to see the whole entire set in one video. I did like the black and gold it was classy looking. The red is always good as a tradition so is the 80's autumn colors but MY favorite is the varied blues! I NEVER would have thought I would like an entire set of mushroom dishes but I have to say after watching you paint these that I would. I am afraid I couldnt afford it or the shipping to the US but I can fantasize. lol

A plate to go under the soup tureen to catch any spillage. And yeah, that funky one def looks like a deviled egg plate. All of these are so lovely. They fit together really well and they have so much personality even before being painted. Wonderful!
I'd love to see you do them all painted in one video. One whole set done to match would make a stunning finish. (I am a fan of the traditional red/white, but I will also admit to being soft for the pastel eath tones you do.)

Oh my goodness, these are so magical! You could add a circle of dancing fairies in the center of the plates or on the indents of the deviled egg plate! You could even make the fairies native Australian flower/plant fairies! It would be so cute! I also loved the black and gold mushrooms you did!
The black color palette is incredibly beautiful! There are so many night time accent colors you could add to add dimension and variety!

I would love to see this set in your style! Looking at listings for the original pieces, they are all so brown and washed out looking. I think your bright colorful style would add so much life and whimsy into these pieces! Especially given how large some of them are! I really love your fairy tea party idea! Perhaps there is a way go incorporate little fairies into the painting? (You could paint them like Legend of Zelda, as just little balls of light with wings) some pearl luster on the mushrooms could look like they've been covered in fairy dust!
