    All it takes is a very good athlete who's willing to go through the process of developing their skills to make it in any sport. The only problem is the later in life you start to learn the more of a freak of an athlete you have to be to compensate for it.

    Big shout-out to each and everyone of those kids putting in the effort to make it into the camp! I don't think they know just how much we're cheering for them over here in America. Much respect to all of the fans in England, and all of the young Brits hoping to someday join an NFL team!

    The XFL and CFL recruit more international players than the NFL. The process of getting and staying in the NFL without playing in college is very difficult.

      well the cfl get a lot of players from American colleges so that might be a reason why they recruit heavily internationally

      If they don't get drafted in the NFL, they could make it through the XFL or the USFL. Hey, you never know.

    Wow this was cool. I would love to see players from different parts of the world make it in the NFL long term. That would be Diversity at its finest. Who cares where you are from, if you can help the team win and do well in the try outs/ workouts you belong on the team!!!!! Good luck to these guys.

      Emil Koch Sadly I don’t think this will ever happen. Here in the states, most boys are attached to football from birth. The main way to make it to the nfl is through playing in college, and most colleges only recruit domestic kids, and it would be very tough for their scouts to find talent overseas.

      @@LM-dv8pv Ridiculous thing to say. Look how much talent the MLB and NBA have managed to find overseas. Hell, the NFL already has international players. Football is also a game that can be picked up later in life, even at the NFL level teams will draft players based on pure athleticism. CFB and NFL teams are constantly looking for an edge and have ample resources to scout overseas.

      Hell yeah!! If you look to Penei Sowell, and look to their O-line😂😂 you realize. It’s so sad because they have good expectations, it’s really good to have goals in life, but, if you claim to be a RB and you seem to be 170 lbs, some dudes in high school or even freshman are 240 lbs😂.

      @@julianshu3630 true but UK has no basketball scene whatsoever, also its hard to get a D1 scholarship in europe or asia as highschool basketball isnt a thing so they have to go play in local leages and hope to get found through chance.

    I know Europeans are extremely talented athletically. But just as Americans in your football we've been playing the game since we were seven years old lifting weights running hitting. You can still make the NFL but it would be better to focus on athleticism early in life lifting weights sprinting hitting rugby seems to be the best path. There are nuances to the game that you can't learn in the classroom.

    These kids don't have the size.... and without a proper league they wont even crack the CFL.... there body structures are made for WR,corners and safeties...but even then there still to small

      Ye, height isn’t too much of an issue because you see 5’9 running backs or even shorter but they need to put on a lot more weight.

    Even if they are not good enough for the NFL. There is always the CFL. Canadian Football League. Players who are not good enough for the NFL play in the CFL. You get paid, but not as much. In addition, the XFL will return in 2020. The Extreme Football League may also attract players overseas.

    This and the new MLR in America is awesome to see. Is it crazy to think that a greater presence of competitive contact sports in the world could help reduce a good number of the violence in the world.

      That's the great thing about the USA - it's actually open to other sports unlike, say, the UK and other Western European countries. If the MLR becomes the next MLS in terms of popularity then that's a very good thing for the sport overall and the national team.

      @@DD-ru6nv look at nfl and college, even high school rb’s. Most running backs are 5-9 to 6’2 and always over 205 lbs. He’s a hospital patient in the making at rb in an American League

    Just so you understand how big American football is
    Michigan college football is the second biggest stadium in the world
    In Texas there is a high school stadium that Cost 40 million to build
    Watch Valdosta Georgia high school football
    It’s amazing I wish they would play football in college in the UK so they could compete with the colleges here

    Sounds horrible to say, but none of these kids look anywhere near as big or athletic to become NFL players. The only players that do legitimately have a chance would be punters or kickers, and let's face it, anyone with a decent boot can do that.

      A lot of NFL players trained to be NFL players for practically their entire lives. That’s what the UK would have to start doing for something like this to be successful.

      Find a university that has a program. 20 years old is no where near too old to make it in the nfl in the states you arent even eligible for the nfl draft until youre three years removed from highschool (which is roughly 20-21 years old).

    how long does it take for a city to build the skillset necessary to match american teams at a national level? im assuming this is going to be a decades long endeavour before we are at the level of American teams, or am i being pessimistic?

      No, decades sounds about right. There are high school teams in America that are playing faster and better than these guys. As an American though, I can say that we're genuinely interested in seeing the UK get involved in the sport.

      @@Horible4 I agree. American NFL players are probably as good as they ever been. These kids are bred to either play basketball or football. You may just be naturally athletic enough to compete in college, but you don't simply stumble into the NFL. The talent that trickles down to that level is truly fierce.

      @@paulinotou If you put a world class professional soccer player in an nfl training camp starting with spring work outs i have zero doubt that theyd be capable of being physically able to play by the time the season roles around. They probably wouldnt be mentally ready but im just saying its not like they dont have professional athletes over there i mean its a population of over 50 million people in the UK theres bound to be a few 6'2" 240 lbs 4.6 40s over there.

      There are professional athletes in Europe obviously they arent training to be nfl players so they dont need the size that nfl players do but that doesnt mean they arent capable of it. Id bet it only take one generation of players given the infrastructure and support to prepare for the sport and theyd be competitive. obviously they wouldnt win in a UK vs US international match but theyd definitely be able to start putting a decent amount of pros into the league

    Really? Good luck with getting drafted to the NFL. CANADIAN or XL league maybe. If you want to see if you have what it takes, you really have fly to USA and train at House of Athlete with Brandon Marsh. Get picked to showcase yourself in the Combine he puts on. The Academy you're at is a business and money maker for the owners. As far as USA Colleges and Universities, that's even competitive D level. Maybe, JUCO. Rethink your strategy.

    I love America, but I hate American football. It is too hard on the body.
    Many former player regret playing because their injuries stay with them forever.
    Don't start the sport in the first place. I'm telling you from New Jersey: UK stay clean.
