I played LoL for 10 years, and I stopped 2 years ago because I was tired of my teammates raging and flaming each other, disconnects, bm, etc. This channel reminds me of what made me fall in love with the game when I was still in school. Just hit Diamond yesterday, only playing Shen. Your impact on his pickrate and itemization is and has been pretty insane, all the statistics prove that. I look forward to seeing other absolute nuts things you will inevitably be doing next season!
Hi xPetu and all of you guys of this community.
It seems like a joke... but I reached 86%WR with Shen mid. I don't know how... but it almost feels like something is not right. Every game, invades happening, people fighting for 2 minutes straight, blowing summs, leaving at 1hp. I watched this new videos, I tried to learn from them.... and I unlocked not Shen's true power, but my true player potential. I don't run xPetu's build, I ended up developing one on my own, that just worked... and I don't know why. But is just works, you scale, and suddenly you can permafight using wisely your energy and cooldowns. Ultimates every 90s or even up to 60s at lvl18 with full build, is borderline illegal. No-one can match your teamfighting potential, nor even Aatrox, Diana or Nami+Lucian.
I have fought with 3 trolls in my team (refusing to help + dying intentionally) but carrying with a Renekton top against compositions that were the Antrax of LoL. Think of Nami+Lucian+Hecarim all 3 fed because your teammates trolled as they didn't liked your pick.... and then you curbstomp with a Renekton, ulting him as he dashes and stuns people, literally obliterating their team in a complete 2v5. Games like that happens almost every time, because it's true... you're the Master of Puppets (you're pulling the strings🎶).
Just wanted to share this journey I started.... not a journey of "I'll climb finally, I achieved an stable 80% WR" but a journey of discovering the true joy of LoL despite the toxicity... and believe me, LAS server is pure toxic (Latin America South). People insult you, die un purpose because they don't like a pick, but it is in 100% of the games. And you're there.... picking Shen, enjoying the constant fight because as xPetu said "when you're behind don't be afraid of taking risks" and you end up killing a priority target, winning an objective or claiming bounties, and if you're ahead you provide an insane peel for your team, while negating the strenght of the other midlaner as tanks>assasins.
I started really enjoying the game, and I owe this to xPetu, but wanted to share it with all of you guys.
And... if you're wondering, my build is (and I'd be honored if xPetu tries it in one game)
Ionian-Bami (as he said)
Then Sunfire->Aegis->Warmong's->Sterak->Stoneplate->Whatever (usually Knight's Vow)
With sunfire + aegis you reach high armor/mr early on, warmong provides insane hp + hpreg (allowed me to fight, escape, stale fights until team can revive and regroup and that single item has turned around games for me. Sterak 3rd gives easily 1.7k shield and then stoneplate, if game is long enough as to be able to buy it, will give you 2.4k hp.
You... you are just unkillable. Made the math, I reached in one game 9.8k hp (hp+shield hp) while having +200armor and +160mr. That's just insane. Games usually don't last that long, but if you get fed enough or it is close enough, you start turning around every single teamfight

While they are try hard every match and find excuse for everything because of their fragile ego, you are climbing and also enjoying the game. It's like finding a good job where you can also enjoy it. ive never played shen in my life and this is my first time watching a video from u but this inspires me to play him XD im a support main but i really wanna look into playing something else when i have to off-role since i dont have any character preferences yet for other lanes. i rly love the playmaking shown here! i would love to be the difference for my team like this too

played shen mid a few seasons ago when top was setteld with a nother player. they don`t resepect you and the kit from shen is so versatile that you can realy make it work by just making plays for your team. i am watching your videos and realy see the points you are making because i saw the sparks too. its fun its something new for a lot of playes and just fun. thanks for bringing more diverse playstyles to leauge. i am sick for been called a troll because there is no meta only champs you can handle to make it work.

I'm playing LoL just for fun and I started few months ago to play Shen a bit on top lane, but got bored all the same I hit the Gold 1 with him and then started droping down where I'm in G4 now. However this game for me isn't only climbing the most part I'm playing this game for fun as I mentioned. I know that I'm not a pro player or smh, but your guides and tactics really feels like real guides and "do this and you will get that" you're the only one youtuber here that I respect in many ways...

really nice video ! i played shen mid a couple of games and absolutely stomped. I also like to play shen support bot with lethal tempo. You can basically autoattack the enemies to death and the AA range with the Q is really good. You shit completely on every adc in early and mostly the support too.
thanks petu, I'm main adc since 2013 and the higher elo I have reached is low master but I think I can reach challenger with shen, I know it is totally different of what I've played along the years but I found your channel and started to play shen. You are right they doesn't respect shen mid so I'm positive I can reach challenger this new season. thanks
Yooo! I went on a 5 game winning streak.. lost one.. then a 7 game winning streak. Shen is 100% way more fun at mid lane. Impacting the early game is so huge.. grabbing scuttles is easy as well. Highly recommend taling shen mid. Petu, thank you very much for all of the great content!

I absolutely agree. I discovered this technology like 4 months ago because I got tired of toplane completely. Shen mid is mutch better than top. As Shen mid you have ultimate map control and you are the one making plays. As u said, mutch better matchups. It's crazy how mutch dmg Shen does on LV 1 to Assassin's. Never tried this technology too much in rankeds. After reaching 250k mastery on Shen I started playing Aatrox and when I'm filled mid... Shen mid it is.. Awesome vid ty for this type of content

Shen is fun to play. The Sunfire/Frostfire build Shen allowed me to climb from the depths of elo hell to Plat 1, and still climbing. Though there are times where I go Divine Shenderer just for laughs.
absolutely gonna play this, looks duper fun. I'm a gold and have 65% wr on ww and bard and rly enjoy taking over the map. Especially love bard as you can force so many picks, its so fking fun. Shen feels hella similar here, got a feeling in my bones that ima have a lot of hours on shen 😁. Diamond here I come O_o

I did this years ago, I just never queued for rank . Petu is bringing it back and as a challenger player he's made it better. He's the best. I did it back in the day when people still used sheen and frozen heart. Looooooong time ago. Still had surge as a summoner back in those days and items like guinsoos, wits end, and malady, blood razor all of those items were more relevant in those games

A few weeks ago, I also tried Shen mid after having 5 ranged matchup in a row on toplane, and your video could be one of my games, I mean by that, that I had exactly the same gameplay, 5cs/min full roaming always going insane and going flash taunt and I had 100% winrate in mid lane xD The only thing I did not do from what you said is going lucidities, my bad...
