    Thank you for these tutorials. And from seing this i can conclude that to learn how to sing high notes without using too much air flow, i should try to understand how to vocal fry. If i can vocal fry in high notes, giving a little more air flow i can learn how to sing that note clean without using too much air, hence having a better tecnique. Ty

    hey im loving these vids! youve really helped me, but i feel like you could have more demonstration of each individual step, possibly having some examples from other vocalists cold be good (i know thats a ball ache haha), the explanations are great and easy to undesrtand but yeah a few more examples would be great (also tbh in this particular vid there are a deece amout of examples but ive noticed in others there arent as many)

    • @AlikiKatriou
      @AlikiKatriou  8 місяців тому

      Noted. Thank you ^.^ Yeah, it varies from day to day; sometimes by brain forgets to demonstrate because this is my preference in lessons - I like to avoid demonstrating so that people don't rely on me and my sound but rely on their own internal experience, sensations and memory. But I'm 100% with you! Will work on it!

    feels like I'm moving my tongue to get my fry but achieving similar results to you because otherwise in high pitches my voice simply goes from no sound or just the air passing through to a falsetto note. Very confusing stuff.
    Lovely tutorial though, I have to admit there is nobody who explains the topic like you.
    I still feel unsure with myself and am worried about the discipline of sticking with fry screaming training but i'll try. Your tutorials are a great help, there is far too much content out there which makes me confused on what i'm supposed to be doing and why it's not working.

    • @AlikiKatriou
      @AlikiKatriou  Рік тому +1

      Interesting. If that's the case, I would find your fry anyway that you do and then maintain that sound and very, very, very slowly start moving your tongue out. Think of it as an isolation challenge - it isn't necessary, it's just to unlock even more flexibility and options for you :)

    I've been having problems "frying" notes higher than F#. When I reduce my air the note cuts out and as I play around with airflow I then get a kind of squeaking sound. Does that make sense? Is that just because I'm not relaxed enough?
    Thanks SO MUCH again, I've commented on many other videos saying the same thing, but I feel like 1000 thanks aren't enough for the work you're putting up, for free too! :))

    • @AlikiKatriou
      @AlikiKatriou  3 роки тому

      Yes, that makes sense. Sounds like you're going in the right direction! Yup, it's about relaxation directly on the vocal folds. Maybe try "relaxing" about the pitch accuracy a bit and see if that helps...

      Start fry in the song then sustain that, pause the song and focus on that feeling. Stop the sound, try making it again.
      For false fold, do it on demand, then put on a song and just make that noise over the vocals to begin with - no lyrics, fewer staccato gaps etc.

    • @AlikiKatriou
      @AlikiKatriou  3 роки тому +1

      Fry should sound weak in its foundation. When you say it sounds like a whisper do you mean the volume? Or do you mean that there is air leaking out?
