      This way, the hormones stay on longer, as planting them will always brush off some of them. I tell myself this helps :)

    Hi ! Thanks for all your sharing !
    I would have a question for you or any other bonsai pro !
    I received a very very weak Japanese maple young tree (4 years). I am in Switzerland, so the winter can get quite cold, and I'm worried that it won't make it....
    Is it an option to keep it indoor for one winter as I don't see how it will survive without? I know it's not ideal, but would it survive that way and enable its recovery? Thanks in advance for your answers !

    • @GrowingBonsai
      @GrowingBonsai  10 місяців тому +1

      Keeping it indoors will weaken it more. Do you have a shed that stays a little warmer? A little bit of frost & prolonged cold is good for deciduous trees

    • @GrowingBonsai
      @GrowingBonsai  10 місяців тому +2

      I fertilize quite heavily in fall, and fertilize late in spring. The nutrients are used to prepare the buds and sprouts for next season, in line with natural decay in early fall.
