You are such a joy to watch sweetheart. I call you my little You Tube Cinderella of the allotments...birds tweeting around you as you happily work. Walt Disneys 1950 film ❤ I'm sure anyone who has watched that film will agree 😘
😭 that is such a lovely thing to say! 😭 I think you win kindest comment ever 🥲 thank you so much for watching 💖🌸🌱🐦⬛✨ (Hopefully more bird content soon 🥲)
❤❤❤ I absolutely love watching u. I in NYC. I have MS and I grow indoors. You absolutely have a treasure with all that comfrey. Fill one of those big drums with it. You’ll have liquid fertilizer for ever. Just keep adding to it. I wish u could post 1 more video a week 😊. Blessed be.
Everything is really growing! Just think of how far you have come. Already harvesting and at first you weren't sure you would be able to get anything in the ground this year! Amazing work!
Allotments are happy places. Good for both body and mind. I think you have natural green fingers Seren. Great potato harvest and wonderful sweet peas. What a first year you are having !
You have really turned that allotment into something you should be very proud of. All your hard work is now rewarding you. It's a pleasure watching your progress.
giant comfrey teabag 🤭 I’ll have to give it a go! I didn’t like straining the nettles.. not looking forward to the comfrey bucket 🤢 should have made a tea bag hahaha Thank you so much for watching! 💖
I can’t believe just how well your plot has come on and how productive it is already. You should be so proud of yourself. It’s not beginner’s luck. It’s hard work and dedication. Well done
So glad you are on the mend again, Seren. You can’t go wrong getting out into nature or a garden, when you are feeling flat and need a lift in spirits and energy. Nature is a physician. You are so visibly happy working away on your plot that it makes me happy! Take good care of yourself. ❤️💐🇨🇦
You have done so well for such a short time and weird weather. Seed dahlias are really a delight to start yourself, you never know what color you will get. Save some seeds from these and you will get your own garden mix next year. Lovely huge potatoes. Hope you feel better soon!
You should be so proud of yourself. From where you started with this plot, you've come so far, and it's so obvious how you are learning and how hard you've worked. You are truly an inspiration for others!
I think that CROW is alighting on your sunflowers and breaking them. Staking them as you’ve done is Step One. Step Two is tying them to the stake around their NECK. It may or may not prevent them breaking but that’s what I would do. Good luck, Seren your plot is so lovely
You have sone so well this year - well done! Your pumpkin will love growing on the compost heap. Perhaps you could just cut a slit in the plastic and plant through that? My tip for composting is to turn your heap regularly if you can or give it a good shake up. And urine really does help activate it so if you need to go ...... ☺️
This year so far has been tough for fruit and vegetables due to the terrible weather. Glad I started tomatoes from seed back in Feb as if I'd waited a couple more months later I doubt anything would be ready before autumn. Keep up the great work,!
I do more foraging rather than veg growing these days, but as soon as I get out in the countryside I notice myself feeling well and less stressed in real time. 🌱😌
I love your little plot so much and I can see why it brings you such joy! ❤ On rainy days, or days it's just too hot (35C) to garden I rewatch your videos from the very first one. I think I've gone through the playlist 3 times total? Such a satisfying transformation, you've done wonders! 🐞🌻
Trying my hardest not to be jealous that you actually have a sunflower flower rn!! I have skeletal plants currently 💀 your plot looks so so beautiful and full of life, I have loved watching it really come through over this year and be rewarding your hard work 🫶🏻
I had a bad growing season last year so I can sympathize. I felt lucky to have a few tomatoes and beans but everything else was bad. This year is so much better here, weatherwise. Hold on to your wins when things are tough and know next year will hopefully be better! Looks like your fig is doing well from what I can see too.
You should have a wander round the allotment site now and look at what is flourishing on the other allotments for next year’s planning. They have the same soil, weather, slugs etc that you do and probably will have been there for years so know what works. What you’ve done in less than 6 months is amazing though❤
Great video as always, thank you 😊. Don't worry about the sunflowers bring snapped, they should produce more from each leaf joint now. And if you chop the green bit of the potato off the rest is fine to eat :-) Keep an eye out on eBay and fb market place for cheap or free stuff. Over the years we've got strimmers, battery and push lawn mower as well as benches and tables
You have done such an amazing job with your plot, especially considering how overgrown and full of rubbish it was before you took it over. Your channel is like an addiction to me now please do more videos :)
Your comfrey looks like it may be the common variety. The best variety is Bocking 14 and can only be propagated by root cuttings. Even the smallest bit of root will grow but can never set viable seeds unlike the common varieties which will self seed all over the place . I get four crops every year, the first cut is used for potatoes in mid March . I never cut the whole crop together but in stages to give the bees their favourite treat continuously. Mighty fine haul of spuds Seren you have the place spick and span .
That is a good shout actually 😂 I love the archways! Will keep them for some other crop.. probably beans! (since they hang down and can easily be picked 😅) otherwise step stool is a good shout haha 💖 thanks for watching Jane! 🥰🌸🌱✨
Those sweet peas are gorgeous, definitely worth saving the seeds when you can. Unfortunately I had to replant mine, just about a week ago. Comfrey might be worthwhile during then using the dried material as a mulch, especially if it's chopped up some. Less smelly than fermentation.
Definitely will be saving seed! Will save as many as possible 😱🫘 Oh that’s a shame you had to replant! I hope they have a chance to grow now 🥰 Will definitely chop some comfrey up 😊 and get a load of it into the compost 💪🏼 Thank you so much for watching 🥰🌸🌱✨
You may be having a lot of rain but your plants seem to like it :-) . It sounds as if we could swap weather patterns, it's been brutally hot here in the southern US UGH The dahlias are gorgeous, after seeing your flowers I'm going to try my new green thumb at growing them.
Comfrey makes great mulch around your plants so take off the flowers so it doesn’t seed and chop up the leaves and put them on your veg beds, it’s also a compost accelerator acting like manure in your compost. Funny about the arch problem, I was outside not 5 minutes ago trying to hang some string from the top of mine for bird nesting material and I had to call my husband to do it. Short peoples problems 🫤 I went Low Carb/Keto for my health and I haven’t had a cold since, not even Covid (probably shouldn’t have said that) Wellness wishes to you.
Sweet peas grow well with all your rain, staking, and more cutting = more flowers! I am jealous of your sweet pea harvest!! If you are feeling low, the garden is the place to be!! 🙂 I find the garden takes all my worries away and I live in the moment there. With regards to getting ill, wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands and practice keeping your hands off your face.. It may be a surprise to you that simply increasing your regular handwashing all the time will reduce the number of times you are ill, even most respiratory illnesses. The potato with the green end is still edible...just cut off the green part. Weeds are ok in the compost as long as they have not gone to seed. If you put anything seedy in cold compost you will have it all over the garden. You have done such a good job on the plot!! Congratulations!
Love your videos, get yourself a cordless battery strummer, they are great for cutting your paths and will tackle that comfrey as well. Loving your sweet peas
Green spaces, flowers, dirt-cure for whatever ails you. I know I come to visit when feeling melancholy. Please think about an Amazon (or other) wishlist.
Hi Seren, fantastic spud harvest. You'll have to dig that potato bed over to get all the tiny ones out. Next year they will be coming up through whatever you put in there.
Hahah yeah I’m expecting to see little spuds pop up in that bed for the rest of time 😅 I might revert to growing in buckets next year instead 🙂 we shall see! Thank you so much for watching Stephen 😄🌱✨
You greatly inspire me in my own garden. When I don't feel like doing a job (or anything at all), I think about you cracking on with much more difficult jobs than I need to get done. Best wishes that you feel better soon. I watch you from a small town in the NW part of the US. It's fun to see that even though our weather varies, so much of gardening is the same. Cheers!
You can drink a fresh onion juice. it tastes terrible but it may help. In the description is written juny 2nd. Your garden and the plants look really nice! I hope i can motivate myself to make my first garden video soon. Have everything ready but can't jump over my shadow. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I hope you heal fast! I am at the end of the healing journey here. Broke mine in April. Foot is still swollen and they are telling me it will be for months. Compression socks help but who wants to wear those when it is 97⁰ F?
Brilliant vlog. They are not tiny carrots - they are good. Sweet-peas fantastic. You work soooo hard. And yes, composting is a very serious business. The weed pile : put black plastic over it. Punch a hole in it and put a pumpkin in it❤ (or a squash). Very very impressive. Even the King came to watch you in his helicopter😂
Hi Seren I hope you're okay and not overdoing things etween work, the allotment and life in general. Looking forward to your next update and hope you're well. Bev
You have done a MASSIVELY great job!! And it isn’t surprising that you feel better after being stuck home sick…nature heals! I didn’t get to all the planting I wanted to this year and it’s just hot as heck here in the American Midwest. W the exception of a hurricane remnant going thru to knock things down. I just so enjoy watching you and your allotment thrive!!!
Tip for nettle and comfrey tea, I fill a big laundrybag ( to protect clothes) with dry comfrey and nettles, then it just to lift it up when ready and put the rest in the compost…. Less smelling 😅the zipper works when it’s dry again
Thanks for the update Seren, it's all looking rather splendid, did you know you can also dry the comfrey leaves out, scrunch them up and apply them as a fertiliser ?
The weather has been crazy and playing havoc with my planting. Lettuce has exploded, but my tomatoes and peppers are suffering from being too wet, yes too wet for tomatoes 🤨 Perhaps plant clover on your paths this autumn to com up next spring, good ground cover, good or soil and bees love it.

We love you and the plot, so nice to watch another update. Im watching from my balcony where I grow as much as I can fit in here. The weather here has also been cold and not great. Keep going
You’re doing a great job. I wouldn’t attribute the gardening to your colds unless you have allergies that are getting agitated. Gardening is good for you!
I grow swet peas every year and I must say the stems on my flowers have been particularly long this year. I wonder if it has something to do with the weather being cooler and more than average rainfall? I also grew a variety recommended for cutting, so maybe that helped too? Who knows, but I am enjoying the,. Happy gardening, Seren 🙂
Love your videos! Watching from Wisconsin, USA, which has also had a lot of rain. Today was the first time I have actually had to water by hand this year, other than right after planting. I was wondering if you have given thought to taking us on a tour of the other allotments, to see what & how they are growing? Meeting your neighbors would be a plus! I'm sure they are so glad you have transformed your space from what it was when you started.
Was like you was not sure about removing the comfrey, instead have reduced it, will try and shift some to under the fruit trees where it won't take off into somewhere where it's not wanted.
My sweet peas are what keep me going, everything else isn’t doing so well. I even managed to kill my potatoes which I didn’t realise was even possible! 🤦♀️
is that the water butt lid? if so i just turned mine upside down , drilled a few holes and left it on upside down, with a biggish stone on top to keep it in place. It fills up soooo well

The potato that got exposed is perfectly safe to eat. Just cut the greenish bit off. Good harvest.
You have a wonderful garden, so many beautiful flowers too. Good job!!
Try putting the nettles in a net bag at the start- like a big tea-bag. Not so messy at the end! Just agitate it every so often, like a cup of tea. 😂☕️

That courgette is ready to harvest! Baby marrow.
Comfrey is very medicinal, you could harvest and dry it for tea, flowers and leaves, you can make a medicinal balm, even the root has uses.
Lovely blog Seren.Idharvest those onions and take your courgettes small .Beautiful Cosmos😍

Cosmos are a favorite flower of mine, too. Could you tell again what varieties you planted in an upcoming vlog? Thanks :)
That big spud is fine. Just cut the dicoloured bit off
❤❤❤❤ Nice
Can you film some of your walk to the plot?
My sweet peas are what keep me going, everything else isn’t doing so well. I even managed to kill my potatoes which I didn’t realise was even possible! 🤦♀️
is that the water butt lid? if so i just turned mine upside down , drilled a few holes and left it on upside down, with a biggish stone on top to keep it in place. It fills up soooo well
