Okay, if it's not already been suggested yet: TETRIS HOUSE! Basically the same as this concept, except the shapes are the various shapes from Tetris instead. The weird almost Z shaped one would make quite a room!
i was literally about to comment the same thing. Like a grandma who had to clear out her painting studio to make room for her grandkids. and maybe she didn't have a tv before and the small living room was just a sitting room.
Exactly what I was thinking! Houses (in my country) the style of buildings that was popular when grandparents bought houses was very small and closed off room.
@@zannharasiuk5186 ouch, wow, I’m Scottish and I’m agreeing? English houses Are tiny, that’s why I said it was oxymoronic to say “it wasn’t that small”
Not only should you definitely do a Puzzle Shell Challenge next for the community but it should be mandatory for the mods to do as well. Since they like to torture you with their shell challenges.
I love it so much that you haven't been restricting packs or budget on the last few videos! You've been letting your creativity shine through and making some really cool builds. I love the blue base game suburbans but it's so nice seeing you try new things ❤
I am always amazed by how good you are at building and furnishing and decorating and landscaping and basically in The Sims in general. You are such an inspiration to me!
Architect here! Love your builds. Just wanted to say, there is a “rule” we usually follow, closer to the entrance you try and place the common areas (kitchen, living room etc) and further away the personal ones (bedrooms, offices etc). Also bathrooms are grate for soundproofing in between the bedrooms. Maybe this helps and gives you some ideas for future builds❤
VIDEO IDEA!: exaple: the first number is 1 ofc, so you pick something you only need 1 thing from. (Like a fridge) Then 2 (like a bed or somethinf) and so on. I think its a difficult challenge but you will pull it off ❤❤
While watching this video, I was reminded of a story line related to this house. So this would be grandma and grandpa's house where their crandchildren moved after their parents died in a car accident. Now they are trying to heel from their parents death with their dear grandparents help. They eat pancakes for breakfast every saturday like their parents used to. The house is kinda small so they decided to make this summer's project the renovation of the backyard, where they plan to make a small vegetable garden and area for the children to play. Idk where this all came from but im probably gonna play this story in this house lol. Did anyone else get these vibes?
There are ways to make these geometries a little more forgiving. For instance, had you made the 3 tile room 1 x 3, you could a have a more convenient bathroom and made it an en suite to the primary bedroom. Also, the 8 tile bedroom could have been shaped like a 3 x 3 tile room with one tile missing from a corner, so it was more square shaped, and been a bit easier to work with. It matters how the square footage is allocated. But incredibly, the house turned out cute, if a little odd room-wise. The pantry in the kitchen was clever, and the closet in the bedroom was just what I would have done. I'm off to do this challenge myself!
Every time she does one of these I scream when she turns the one tile into yet another useless closet. Why not a walk in shower? They’re functional and so pretty. I love her challenges but it gets me every time she panics about what to do with it because I feel the anxiety
I think a puzzle piece shell challenge would definitely be so cool! Maybe with like 3 or 4 pieces that the random number generator helps determine the size of. That would be so fun 👏🏼
Simsie: It's good to have skill building items. *adds a bookcase, television, bonsai tree, easel...* Also Simsie: I'll add another computer because there's literally nothing else to do in this house. 😆
I have so much to do until tomorrow and instead of doing those, I’m watching Simsie suffer. What a great way to end the weekend :) thank you Simsie for always making yourself struggle just so we can relax a bit
sometimes simsie’s builds of family homes remind me of my own childhood home. especially this one, with the tiny rooms and bunk beds and fun teen rooms lol
i say go ahead and make the puzzle shell. bc the whole time i watched this i was kinda waiting on you to say you posted the shell to the gallery for us lol. i’m excited for the possibility
I wanna play is this house so bad! It looks super realistic. I would switch one of the bedrooms for an office with a desk, books and plants instead, and remove the university shower from the small bathroom, but aside from that, it looks beautiful!
This house is sooo good! It’s different from the usual and it reminds me of London houses. I swear when I lived in London my room looked exactly skinny, small and long like the one she made !
this house makes me think of the houses on my college campus, the buildings are always tiny and the rooms are oddly divided up and old looking. I think it'd be really cool to see a puzzle build challenge but the house is for like three college kids that moved into an old house. :)
Oh my goodness. I am now realizing that I could move the rooms when I did your puzzle challenge 😂 I left all of the pieces in place and built around them. It came out pretty cool though. The “back yard” is on the roof.
okay but that three tile bathroom is really cute actually!! i can imagine myself in a rush sitting on the toilet while doing my makeup in the mornings lmao
the third bedroom would’ve been an amazing laundry room and the single tile could’ve been a shower and the 3 room could’ve been another laundry room if the guest room was kept all this to say i think i want to try this
I suggest this before but I think you should do this with Tetris shapes. with the rules being all shapes are to the same scale (if the square is 4x4 then the line is 2x8, etc.), you must use every piece (square, line, T, L, J, S, and Z), and if you use two of any one type of piece you must use two of every piece. optional rules are you cannot have a build that stretches from one end of the lot to the other side because that would complete a line. and to use the colors of your preferred version of tetris for the according room
Hey Kayla! I have an idea. Can you please use the decorated doors from high school years and make bedrooms that fit them?? I'm very bad with decorating and building so I love watching you build for insperation. If you see this, I love you! ❤
This reminds me of one of my little flats I lived in 13 years ago. It was weird. Front door was in the tiny kitchen, then went through to the living room, which then led to a weird shaped hallway on a flat form where we had our dining table, and then we had two bedrooms, a bathroom and a storeroom off from that hallway… it was so strangely laid out 😅
My first thought at seeing your challenge was taking the two-tile and three-tile units and turn them into a joint bathroom, with the two-tile being a water closet.
It's been a year since you and Dr Gluon made lofts and played telephone to describe the rooms to each other. In the video you said if you followed your own instructions from the video you wouldn't be able to do them. I think a fun idea for a video is to recreate your build based off of your description from that video with gluon.
Okay, if it's not already been suggested yet: TETRIS HOUSE! Basically the same as this concept, except the shapes are the various shapes from Tetris instead. The weird almost Z shaped one would make quite a room!
Yesss I agree with this. I was thinking it would be cooler if some of the rooms were shaped differently
That is an older challenge, you should find quite a few videos on it if you look it up.
YES LOVE THIS IDEA!
i was just abt to comment this
That’s what I thought this was going to be, based on the thumbnail 😅

This house wasn't actually that small, it looks very English to me in the size of a few of the rooms, You did really well with it
It’s one of the most realistic looking houses she’s done. I live in a neighborhood with houses identical to this

I love how this turned out! My only pet peeve is you used the dragon plushie instead of the triceratops for the dinosaur themed room 😂
This reminds me of the fact that the names + describtions of these two plushies were swapped. Not sure it's still like this.

This would be a fun twist for a shell challenge, everyone gets the same rooms but we can put them together however we’d like

I love this house way too much for my own good. Small cozy houses are a weakness of mine as someone who lives in a small cozy 4 unit complex
I had the idea of making that 3 tile room a mud room and having the back door through there!
This is such a cute house!! I wish I could download it but I only have two packs:(
Before you put it together, the pieces reminded me of the Tetris game. lol You did great. I wouldn't know what to do with it.
Unironically I actually really love this house
A puzzle house challenge based on a tangram would have a lot of possibilities for different final shapes!
I think I would have used some spandrels to open up some of the rooms. That way you aren’t cheating but you get more space.
the university shower bathroom could have been laundry/backyard access 🤷🏼
