Let’s not forget gojo is pretty much self taught and was never really pushed past his limits except toji. That alone was enough to make him the strongest with purple.

First with Toji, with all the prep time and the inverted spear only to make him unlock his full potential ig, second i think it wad with miguel in the movie with the limited black rope since it can bypass the infinity like the inverted, third with the prison realm with kenjaku and finally Mahoraga's ring that can adapt with any given CT. But it was already hinted when satoru and megumi had a conversation regarding their previous clan's head that both perished with their same inherited technique. Remember the question of geto, remember what happened to grandma's seance CT with toji stating that he only summoned the body not the soul but since her grandson's soul was too weak it was overthrown by Toji's soul and toji's body and soul's bond were so strong that it happened. Remember the conversation of satoru and Kenjaku while Gojo was being sealed that getos body reacted to Gojo's call, stating that what if the body was an extension of the soul. Yuta will die and satoru will be reborn in his body. Gege doesnt hate Satoru he loves him and we need more Author like Gege nowadays.
I feel like it go that route, this is the only way to see Gojo revived. Because like you said, there’s foreshadowing with toji and geto controlling the body. Toji could do it because of his heavenly restriction and no curse energy. There’s no one strong enough to stop sukuna, unless gege is cooking something for yuji because we have no idea what yuji is able to do. Tbh Im not even surprised with the results. Gojo was clearly dominating the fight, he even won domain clashes, h2h combats, and even outsmarted sukuna multiple times. All Gojo needed was HP. If he used HP multiple times then he would've won, the problem was sukuna wasn't letting him do it, it takes some time to create a HP. In the end he managed to land an AOE HP which severely weakened sukuna.
Meguna is actually his weakest form and he only used the ampes dismantle because he wanted to get stronger lol. Gojo went all out, sukuna wanted to get stronger.

MAPPA threw a real hype with the Sukuna vs Mahoraga animations. A two chapter fight extended to a crazy 15 minutes, and now for the season 4 they have a 11 chapters long fight with the honored one going all out for the first time in his life.
I find it Crazy to believe gojo lost the battle even though he was going “all out” Gojo was trying to save megumi while battling Sukuna therefore meaning Gojo was going maybe 80% so he wouldn’t kill Megumi. Gojo had about 6 chances to kill Sukuna but he decided to try and save megumi instead

First with Toji, with all the prep time and the inverted spear only to make him unlock his full potential ig, second i think it wad with miguel in the movie with the limited black rope since it can bypass the infinity like the inverted, third with the prison realm with kenjaku and finally Mahoraga's ring that can adapt with any given CT. But it was already hinted when satoru and megumi had a conversation regarding their previous clan's head that both perished with their same inherited technique. Remember the question of geto, remember what happened to grandma's seance CT with toji stating that he only summoned the body not the soul but since her grandson's soul was too weak it was overthrown by Toji's soul and toji's body and soul's bond were so strong that it happened. Remember the conversation of satoru and Kenjaku while Gojo was being sealed that getos body reacted to Gojo's call, stating that what if the body was an extension of the soul. Yuta will die and satoru will be reborn in his body. Gege doesnt hate Satoru he loves him and we need more Author like Gege nowadays.

Tbh Im not even surprised with the results. Gojo was clearly dominating the fight, he even won domain clashes, h2h combats, and even outsmarted sukuna multiple times. All Gojo needed was HP. If he used HP multiple times then he would've won, the problem was sukuna wasn't letting him do it, it takes some time to create a HP. In the end he managed to land an AOE HP which severely weakened sukuna.
Meguna is actually his weakest form and he only used the ampes dismantle because he wanted to get stronger lol.
Gojo went all out, sukuna wanted to get stronger.

If he were to fight gojo in his true form, it would be literally impossible for him to get through infinity, and hand to hand combat would be harder for gojo, in domains gojo might have a chance to dominate him. And sukuna would have a lot of hard time to adapt to Satoru's abilities. But if he were to get hit with one or two purples(direct ones) he would literally be dead. But Sukuna in megumi vessel is said to be weaker than heian era sukuna. I'm not sure but one thing is true that sukuna cannot go through infinity without mahoraga.
