Initial conductance of acid is high. On addition of base, H+ ion from acid is replaced by Na+ due to which conductance decreases upto neutralization of acid. After that due excess addition of strong base conductance increases. When we plot this variation of conductance with added base the nature of graph is two intersecting lines and point of intersection corresponds to the equivalence point.
Hello sir On Monday my offline practical exam but due to some problems I am absent in all practical....if I watched ur all experiments video? Then it will helpful to performing me all experiments in lab What can I do in pharamacitual analysis practical
First thing is that conductance depends on size mobilty of ions. In the beginning H+ ions concn is high hence conductance also high. But when NaOH is added fast moving H+ from acid is replaced by slow moving Na+ due to which conductance start decreasing. When acid is completely neutralised due to excess strong base dissociation conductance start again increasing which confirms equivalence point. .

Thank you
Thanks alot, well explained
Thank you so much, sir.
thanks sir, that is very useful for my study....
Thank you sir.... For better understanding
Sir in burette for only strong acid taking it against the strong alkali conductometrically what taken not for strong base
Nice sir
Superb👏👏👏

Thankyou sir🙏🏻
Sir kya ye practical ab b pharm analysis mai hota hai ya nahi syllabus se hat gya hai please reply

How you are adding water to acid....!!
It's 0.1 N acid

we cannot add solution of NaOH by keeping burette in hand since it will give wrong reading
Yes agree. . .

Sir I can't understand that frm where d 2line comes frm n how can the graph will intersect..plz make me understand sir

Sir how the eletrode calibrate???
But how do we know that it is the exact end point....
When the conductivity will decrease from starting.....

Further addition of NaoH conductance increasing. Why
After complete neutralization of acid, conductance increases due to ionisation of further added strong NaOH.
BECAUSE Concentration of OH INCREASES FURTHER on adding base....OH ions also show conductance like H ions
Thanku sir
Thanks sir
