When I was in my College, I used to pass semester by watching Varun sir's Video. Now I got placed and working as a DBA, Still I find Varun Sir's Video Helpful!! Thank you sir for making us understand topics like these so easily!!
On "Consistency", the example given by you is already taken care by "Atomicity" itself. Consistency talks about the data "Integrity constraints" applied on the schema/table. So after a transaction completes it should also honor the constraints (if there are), like if a CHECK() constraints says balance should not go -ve or more than 2 Lacs, in this case the transaction should be rolled back. Otherwise if a transaction still happens, A will have -ve balance and SUM of both sides will still be equal !!!
exactly.. consistency example was misleading. What if transaction doesnt involve any integer value. or what if we deposit money, so the sum of money should increase. it was a poor example imo
