Zhou Shen has really turned it into an interesting internal dialogue, all the different voices and moods. It's got so many different flavours and parts. It is so artistic what he has done, and such a use of his voice. I just LOVE when he challenges himself like this. And yes, so proud of being his fan. I did look up the original, which is quite something. Very powerful and artistic, by Chen Li. ua-cam.com/video/zMNC2cw1D7k/v-deo.html I only know what little I've read in other comments, but apparently she became more well known for her version since Hua Chenyu performed this on Singer 2018.
His performance is amazing. So passionate and intense. If there's anything I can complain about with this performance by Zhou Shen, it's that they strangely dressed him in beige with little hearts, rainbows and other adorable things. I feel it would have been best performed in an outfit like Ring the Doorbell and Answer it Yourself, or Paradise Island. This is Zhou Shen’s cover version. The original singer is a female singer Chen Li, and she sings so well that it is difficult for any cover artist to surpass her. Zhou Shen sang his own version and added his own dramatic lyrics(Chinese Opera) in the middle.
