My Miami Vacation Highlights: Design District, Versace Mansion, Architecture Tour & Little Havana!

We went on vacation to Miami, Florida, and had a blast playing tourist. We kicked off our Miami trip with a Duck Tour-part boat, part bus, all fun! Gliding through the water and cruising the streets was the perfect intro to Miami’s island-meets-city vibe.
Next, we sipped mojitos at the glamorous former Versace Mansion, soaking in the opulence of Gianni’s iconic digs. Then it was off to Miami Beach’s Art Deco walking tour, where we strolled past pastel 1930s hotels and learned about the city’s rich architectural history.
We split our stay between Miami Beach and downtown, which felt like two vacations in one. In Little Havana, we soaked up Cuban culture with vibrant murals and live music, while the Miami Design District wowed us with high-end art and design, including Buckminster Fuller’s Fly’s Eye Dome and Louis Vuitton’s tribute to Virgil Abloh.
On our final morning, we encountered wild iguanas! Thanks to a rare cold snap, they were literally falling from trees-Miami quirkiness at its best. The sun finally warmed up, just as we wrapped up our unforgettable trip!
