The Knuckles series has finally released on Paramount Plus. After its release the show has became pretty divisive within the Sonic community. In this video I provide my thoughts and a spoiler-free review of the show. I will go over Knuckles' screen time in the show, action sequences, plot and so much more. The show would be cooler if it was about Knuckles fighting that demon that was in Wades weird dream sequence
Bruh…that would have been waaaayyy cooler. Seeing Knuckles’ origin and having presumably Ibilis as the main bad def would of made more sense

It was an interpretation of Iblis from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
@@Vanilla_Rice1not presumably… it’s in the episode, knuckles wanted the flames of disaster so he went to the source, named in the song as “iblis” which makes sense because it had no resemblance to Mephilis the dark or Solaris, but did resemble Iblis’s Snek enemies in the crisis city levels
If this show gets a second season, hopefully we get to see more of Knuckles.
AND HAVE IBLIS AS THE MAIN VILLAIN, RETURNING TO TAKE REVENGE ON KNUCKLES FOR TAKING HIS FLAMES. GOD THAT SOUNDS FUCKING COOL

If only there was more Knuckles stuff without sacrificing the Wade stuff, then it would’ve been fantastic. I genuinely liked Wade’s story
I hope if they do a shadow show or movie, he's not just semi there. They have to stop making the human characters the focus of the shows and movies since they're not the main characters. The show was called knuckles, not wade or even knuckles and wade.. just knuckles. And wade while funny and a big lovable doof, he isn't the main character and the show shouldn't have been primarily about him. We should have had more interactions with the gun agents pursuing them to avoid being killed by the buyer.
Exactly! I hope Paramount can learn from this especially if they want to continue giving other Sonic characters some spotlight
Bro it’s the Sonic universe the point is to have fun and add Easter eggs. Not getting serious and adding tons of lore. That’s how the Sonic movies were built the show follows that formula.
I think a Shadow show as a prequel can work with either Maria or Gerald being the main focus, other than that it wouldn't work. Knuckles show was about some side character that somehow took the spotlight, which is just weird.

Exactly! And the show went downhill from there, for me at least.
Well yeah, knuckles isn’t interesting enough to be on every scene, he’s too naive, sonic on the other hand, he knew human nature, he knew human languag, he was fit for being in the majority of every scene, knuckles isn’t, he doesn’t know human nature, he barely knew human language and more like Greek warrior language
I dont care that people are mad about wade being in the show or javing hum takr the spotlight on the second half of the show. Like ok, i do get it, its qyite valid since it is called the knuckles show. But his character arc is realy good and touching to me and works because both knuckles and wade grow together. Knuckles learn to relax and have fun and actuly gave him a place to call home and has even goten to see some of the human traditions. While witj wade, he learned to stand up for himself and become brave. None of it could jave happend if it wasnt for knuckles.
In the end of the show, my sister said that it should jave been called the wade show as hes the one who grew brave in the end of the show, but if anything, the title should jave been called "Adventures of Knuckles amd Wade" as its about both of them.
The show also has me love wade as a character since he doesnt realy do much in the first or second movie besides being a useless cop and a dork. So this show got me to love him alot. Also it seems that wade may jave some relevance in the 3rd movie?
I loved the knuckles series since it teaches wade and knuckles learned from each other. Knuckles taught Wade to grow out of his comfort zone and Wade's father is an asshole.
They made Sonic not corny in this show. He’s actually entertaining here.
I think the show needed more episodes so we didn’t have to sacrifice what great Wade stuff we got but we could’ve seen more Knuckles.

I do agree with knuckles having too little scenes, but wade is a great character, turning a joke into someone serious

Honestly the show could’ve been based on knuckles going against the egg robo like in sonic 3 and knuckles and eventually the chaotix and metal sonic could’ve came to the series, people would’ve gone crazy for that but instead we got the wade show and knuckles
We ain’t gonna talk about how knuckles wanted to train wade to become a warrior, and to do that, he had to accomplish a childhood goal,bowling, to bring his inner warrior out, clearly nobody understands the the complexities of this cinematic masterpiece
The show should have just been about Knuckles searching for Angel Island.

I loved the show although I understand some valid criticisms of it. Preferably, I hope they can do a Knuckles and Rouge spin-off movie in the near future. That would be cool!

He already did know how to glide, in the sonic 2 movie scene where tails crashed the car, knuckles glided out before climbing
Im pretty sure the budget was lower in series and Idris Elba is quite an expensive guy but if they named the show Knuckles And Wade i would've understood more

IT ain’t boring, wade, challenging his father who left him to bowling match and winning, both half’s were really great, kind of wish knuckles had at least a few more scenes

I think they really ruined pachacamac as a character.
Pachacamac is a villain, he made his kind slaughter many civilizations and steal power that they didnt own. And yet they make him some...old goofball.
Apparently he is in sonic 1 aswell in the flashback where sonic and the owl are being attacked, and hes not old. So how does he just randomly become some old man in between that time to now if the echidna died around when sonic was a kid?
Yea I wanted to bring this up too but ran out of time. I understand they may want to try to do something different in this universe but Pachacamac was a far cry from how viscous and power hungry he was in SA1. And lmao that def doesn’t make sense regarding his age.
I mean bro was dead for some time. They could explain his character further in future projects explaining on how much of a bad person he was

@@Klonkeykong I just think if they actually cared about the sonic franchise they'd have used tikal instead. She's way more known, and is an actual guide to the entire sonic crew for an entire game, it just seems like the logical approach when asked "Hey what echidna should be knuckles mentor and guide".
I was kinda upset that wade was with knuvkles and not thomas.
But after watching all 6 episodes using wade really worked and he had amazing character development
But Tom was on a vacation, so they had to improvise, wade is a perfect choice, a joke with a lot of potential being paired with someone who makes warriors, is a beautiful pairing up, it makes wade, understand knuckles while guiding him, and the same for knuckles guiding and being guided by wade

Knuckles gliding was the best part the nostalgia rush was on point!! I’d still call this show Wade rather than knuckles tho
I do think it was a dick move to not add knuckles red energy surrounding him while gliding, and to make it last for a short time, complete dick move
Hopefully in season two we get even cooler stuff

The best way I can describe this show is ”The Wade show & Knuckles”
Idk what anyone’s talking about, I had to turn it off the jokes were so bad and so was the acting on every front. I genuinely cannot understand what there is to like except for the sick knuckles animation and voice.
1-2 episodes: The best ones
Episode 3: They were still trying to keep it as a Knuckles show
4-6 episodes: Wade's show
They can’t just keep knuckles forever, he’s too oblivious, you remember how he reacted to the cosplayer in the red outfit? Too naive to have every scene his, wade, he had many bits of potential, and unlocked them all, he went from a weak turtle hiding in his shell, to a giant strong tortuous

Well you have to give them credit they were on a small budget unlike movies which have bigger budgets
My biggest fear is that they didnt learn from the Mario movie in the soundtrack. Dont get me wrong, the music was nice just nit enough sonic references.

I would love a Shadow show depending on how well they get his character in Sonic 3. But hopefully they can learn from this and make the show all about Shadow and not Crazy Carl 😭

I swear. I dont have anything against wade or mando or stuff like that (i can only think of these 2) but whats up with characters who have their own show like The book of boba fett or knuckles where somebody else basiclly steals the spotlight. I mean there name is in the show for a reason its not there so people are like "oh its a show about him thats great" only for somebody else to take the "main" role

The main reason there wasn't a lot of Knuckles at the ebdcwas that the filmmakers had to work on a TV budget. It was eother good CGI and little Knuckles or a lot if a poorly animated Knuckles.
And because he’s not interesting enough, too naive, you remember the moment he screwed up helping wade talking to his father because he was distracted talking to a cosplayer

Because the side characters are more interesting, knuckles literally got captured in the first episode, getting saved by wade,sure he was ambushed, but didn’t he say he was trained in ALL form of combat in the second movie? That would mean traps as well

Was overall corny and meant for 7 year olds which is understandable but disappointing. Also trying to make the trio in little kids was just plain awkward
The show was about knuckles and wade in equal parts, the whole point was wade and Knux both becoming better, wade literally shows an uptick in intelligence the longer he’s with Knux, so him fighting “lesser bad guys” was so the story based on two characters wasn’t hijaked, you literally missed the whole point bro I’m sorry… like you can not like it, that’s fine, I loved it but to each their own, but the show had a point and made it, using wade who had joked about his dad being gone in the movies to relate to Knux who has no family on some level from the off when making the show, so it was incredibly clever to do it this way even if excretion wasn’t everybody’s favorite
