Each of the old ECW video games made more money than the AEW video game. AEW should of never went into the video business because they had not even establish their brand yet and it was clear there was not going to be enough AEW fans that would purchase that game in the first place to make it profitable. The best thing Tony can do regarding the video game is issue an refund to everyone who purchase the game and close it down. 46:00 mark roughly. With all the talk about Rock dropping f-bombs and nobody else can, that's not entirely true. Remember when there was an interview via satellite between Seth Rollins and Riddle side by side on the jumbo tron? After Seth said some personal stuff about Riddles family, Riddle said "I'm going to fuck you up' and it was censored. There is a little wiggle room for swearing besides Rock
The reality is the Rock is a bigger enough star that he can get away with it, so if other talent want to be do the same they need to up their level to close to the Rock. If they can't do that without cursing then they need to evaluate themselves.
For two weeks my booking has been. Rock and Roman win tag due to interference, maybe from a new blood line member. The next night bloodline won't stop interfering and the glass breaks and Austin comes and helps Cody get the win. That sets up Austin vs Rock at the next mania
16:02 - I'm also curious about the motive here behind pointing out all the former WWE talent on the AEW roster, in the sense that yes, of course if they are just a roster of former WWE talent, then you come across as a copy cat, or less than, and you get a 'WWE-lite' feel about your product, but obviously it also makes sense to sign former WWE talent for a number of reasons. For starters, before AEW existed, WWE had a monopoly on something like 95% of the best wrestlers in North America, and the other 5 probably had joint contracts with NJPW/ROH. So to that extent, of course you want the best talent that are available, and most of that talent for that reason has at one time or another wrestled for WWE. When you look at someone like Mercedes, obviously she is a key talent in lifting the profile of your women's division by virtue of wrestling 101 and the concept of 'the rub'. Likewise getting Saraya was a good move because she had the biggest social media following of any female wrestler. Whether the talent is used right of course is another conversation entirely - the answer leans towards not being used correctly. Then someone like Jericho, obviously a big name in the business who has done it all, was a key signing for them in legitimizing them, just like WCW signing Hulk Hogan changed the perception of their brand (obviously the level of influence of Jericho is not the same as Hulk, so please don't mince my words, but you get the idea). Then you also have people like Swerve who yeah, he was in NXT, but he didn't 'establish a run' in WWE - this is wording Big Show used for example when he went from WCW to WWF but still came across as fresh talent, and he was used in WCW in a much more featured position than someone like Swerve - The Giant was even a former WCW champion. The same goes for Adam Cole who had only been in NXT his whole run. So to summarize, yeah there is some questionable talent signings there, but likewise there are ones that obviously make sense. Like everything in life, it's not black and white. It's shades of grey.
Notice Ric Flair is absent. I believe hes on his way back to WWE, cuz it's getting hot af over there. AEW cant even fill Arenas and wont let Ric Flair be The Nature Boy!
Around the hour & a half mark he literally told Eric, all be it under his labored breath, "Oh you suck" because Eric said that possibly no one showed up so that's possibly why theaters pulled AEW PPVs then when Conrad tried using the licensed music cost excuse & Eric mentioned then why not stop using it on TV Conrad, as a child would & like a child would say tone wise, legit said "Cause he wants to"
Sorry, I mean is pay-pv on Saturday for Wwe this Saturday, I’m gonna look up on the schedule maybe I would find it then asking you guys I don’t think you guys would mind❤❤
QUESTION: Nepobaby Tony Khan doesn't need to draw a dime in the wrestling business. If TBS/TNT drops him he can pay to appear elsewhere. At what point does ratings and growth or lack thereof actually matter?
I 💯 agree with everything Eric is saying here. The only couple things I'd add is that AEW is only 4 years old. Going on 5. And their nemesis WWE is in their prime 40's. AEW still has lots of time to get it right and WWE in their infancy really had no competition. Additionally, it was also around the time of AEW's birth that WWE was experiencing catastrophic morale in the locker rooms. It took this long (i still think most of Wrestlemania 39 was abysmal) to correct course. Lastly, I love the blood and visceral violence of AEW compared to the diapered down WWE, but you NEED to have connective tissue between violence and narrative. Oh and I think allowing advertisers space on your mat is a really bad idea. I get that WWE is now in bed with sponsers, but to Foley's point, imagine some of our past classics with a giant sorry-ass Prime bottle on the mat. Gross. Wrestling isn't UFC or MMA. I'm slightly concered the shiny new owners don't understand their product nor market. We'll see...
The good: Wrestling in general getting bigger, more exciting & unpredictable recently. The bad: non-wwe companies not improving on their mistakes & the tribalism. The ugly: VKM allegations & it's fallout.
Sorry, I messed up my message. I said both companies say it too much they can see it but they get beeped out because they’re swearing but I can’t wait when MJF comes to Wwe I don’t know when he’s coming but it’d be cool to see him in a different arena and Wwe era❤❤
Which talent are you talking about? They needed to hit overpays on Moxley and Jericho. It's how you potentially get good tv. They needed Punk. They didn't need the second and third wave of rejects like Joe, Claudio, Saraya, etc. At least Khan didn't go after Nemeth, Riddle and Ali this time.
When Wwe moves I hope you get to go with them the talking studio and everybody that’s in it like right now you guys are talking guys look like good buddies and 2015 I forgot it’s 2014. How can someone forget that talking about myself? ❤❤
AEW-free for over a year. Huge WCW fan back in its heyday. WWE-free since Cena became top dog. With Okada and Ospreay, I have started watching AEW again.
How do you give away Bryan vs Will literally immediately with 0.0 build and no story at all😂 that is the level Tony operates on…and that is why AEW stays in the RED!
Tony “everything is great” Kahn debuted her right at the beginning of the show…then everyone changed the channel😂 He signed 3 great talent and it will make 0.0 difference…Tony is the problem!
The first quarter of Dynamite is usually the highest anyway because the viewers from the Big Bang Theory bleed in to the first minute or so. After that, it goes downhill. Then there's the overrun where the viewers of the next show start coming in. So the rating is artificially inflated. If you take out the first quarter and overrun, you have the "real" number.
The issue isn't what The Rock is saying. Its how do you expect anyone else to become a rock or Austin if you aren't allowed to do stuff like Rock or Austin
How could Eric not he ran WCW. I would be appalled after everything he saw and participated in everyone he signed then watch AEW with people who would never had a job or would be blackballed and or fired and put it over like a Democrat. How could Eric see all those Big Poppa Pump matches then watch 7 year old adults touching each other not hitting then pausing for long stretches of time doing not a thing just gazing and not chain wrestling your moves keep on the opponent just show boating and sleeping in the ring on the apron together on the floor and worse sleeping and posing for eternity together on the tope rope corner buckle. Im sure Eric would hate himself if he put smoke up AEW knowing its complete rubbish wrestling and play fighting. Eric needs to keep doing Eric and Conrad ? too freaking bad dont oppress Mr Eazy E and turn him into a shill and a politician living a big lie. I hope EB keeps sticking like glue to his guns and his true perspective. We dont need a fictional podcast full of AEW propaganda bullshitting our 83 week loyal listeners.

Given that most people in the comments on 83 weeks videos have pretty negative things to say about AEW, I'm genuinely curious to know if any of you were ever high on AEW to begin with or at any point in their run to date, or if you haven't been a fan from day one
I was in the beginning. I would defend the company and gave them the benefit of the doubt on a lot of things because of the newness of the company and Tony learning on the job. Now I was never for the most part a fan of the in-ring style, the big budget indy style of trying to pop the crowd instead of utilizing psychology and getting fans emotionally invested. But, I was still pulling for them to succeed and start kicking WWEs (Not NXTs) ass. Competition is great for business. After the Brawl Out stuff and seeing how Tony handled the whole mess, I started to care a little less about AEW succeeding. I was seeing the owner, EVPS and talent seemingly working against themselves in growing the company, it was a turn off for me wanting to support their potential growth. And since then it's been one thing or another that further made me care less to the point I'm now done with AEW. I grew up a Sting fan but, didn't watch for that reason. I do want them to improve and get better but, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
I know NEW, did it until new workers got involved staff that take control they made them lay off the cuss words or if they do use curse words, they beep it out I know if Wwe does it they get beeped out too so I guess it’s fair in square for both companies❤❤❤
Finally watched AEW with my dad i felt bad for him more then me. I watched the first match out of respect almost through MOX it was horrific 7 year old vs 7 year old play fighting touching not thumping woof woof oof oof. Then i lost respect fast forwarded to the final match and turned it off. I can watch AEDUB on fast forward its amazing lol. Thats cool i watch WCW and all the old stuff i know my spot and i know where my value is. Hope the show can move forward to good things for those fans still want it to live but i respectfully decline to becoming a fan of it. So back to old wrasslin tapes re runs for me and a good time watching my guys who i still cheer for to this very day and still enjoy. Im still buying those tickets i guess they still sell me as a fan. Oh well no biggy just hope the fans get a watchable product and competent action one day.
i'd pay for a conrad free version of these things. i'd also pay extra for him to be replaced with an animated version that just constantly pratfalls as replies.
Nothing makes me happier than when Dave Meltzer says something so stupid. Which proves Meltzer has no idea what he is talking about. That even Conrad cannot defend what comes out of Dave's mouth.
So you would have to turn the McMahons down if they were to ask you if they needed your help because you’re used to your own ways now not asking disrespectful way asking in respectful way❤❤❤

Eric do you think the problem with wrestling is the predictability? Look at the UFC. Obviously apples to oranges as that is a sport and not entertainment. But the UFCs unpredictability means a champion can win the belt for one fight then get KO’d in their first title defence. So you just never know what can happen. With wrestling someone wins the title… like Samoa Joe and you just know he is winning every match for the next few months at least. I bet most fans can predict the outcome or result of the majority of every match. Couldn’t this problem be overcome with better booking/storylines (compelling ones at that I may add). Thanks
Did Eric just compare WrestleMania to the Super Bowl? I dont think WrestleMania has 50 million people watching. So Eric saying Minneapolis is just as excited for WrestleMania as they are the Super Bowl is kind of bullshit
Is Conrad stupid or is he disingenuous? He compared AEW to an athlete on a rookie contract vying for the next deal…. The analogy would be if your rookie season was your best and you got a little worse each year. YOU WOULDNT GET A MASSIVE NEXT DEAL IN FACT YOU’d PROBABLY NOT GET SIGNED AT ALL AND THEY’d EITHER DRAFT AGAIN OR TRADE YOU OR SIGN A FREE AGENT

Lake Minnetonka, I hear they have very clean waters up there. One could cleanse or " purify " themselves in those waters if you will.
Lmao I skipped over the ads for Babbel, and every 10 seconds skipped it kept stopping in Eric saying "sushi bar"
Eric is spitting fire 🔥
Thanks!
Best episode of home shopping network ever
Great show easy... conrad shilling for Tony is holding you back I mean no dis respect but your own show your own opinion (honest) if you get me 😉
83 weeks with Conrad copuim 😂
Around the hour & a half mark he literally told Eric, all be it under his labored breath, "Oh you suck" because Eric said that possibly no one showed up so that's possibly why theaters pulled AEW PPVs then when Conrad tried using the licensed music cost excuse & Eric mentioned then why not stop using it on TV Conrad, as a child would & like a child would say tone wise, legit said "Cause he wants to"
For those wondering what the aew fight forever has had spent on it was well over 83 million
He’s right
Sorry, I mean is pay-pv on Saturday for Wwe this Saturday, I’m gonna look up on the schedule maybe I would find it then asking you guys I don’t think you guys would mind❤❤
QUESTION: Nepobaby Tony Khan doesn't need to draw a dime in the wrestling business. If TBS/TNT drops him he can pay to appear elsewhere. At what point does ratings and growth or lack thereof actually matter?
Eric needs a new co host. Ill take Brian Last, the guy on Dutch's show or that guy on Undertakers show any day
brian last is a boot licking weirdo
@@bb-gc2txAlvarez still holds the title when it comes to that
I 💯 agree with everything Eric is saying here.
Where are Conrad’s belts?
Repo man and cheese burglar did it 😂
The good: Wrestling in general getting bigger, more exciting & unpredictable recently.
Everyone gave TNA grief for bringing in WWE talent back in the day, but now AEW does it and it's "bringing in experienced talent" .. what a joke
Mark Coleman saved his parents from that burning house too. Not just the family dog.
Remind me of boarding school dress code❤❤😂😂
32:00 - Questions start.
1:25:23 "Oh well you suck" Jesus Conrad calm down
Do you think they make Cody lose at mania n continue the story?
Eric: (logically demolishes AEW)
Conrad: (sighhhhh)
The issue isn't what The Rock is saying.
Its how do you expect anyone else to become a rock or Austin if you aren't allowed to do stuff like Rock or Austin
Imo Kurt and HBK are the best in ring talent of a generation and Dave can’t see that
They didn't work enough Japan dates for Dave's liking
When did this show go from talking about the good old WCW days to the AEW bad show?
Do you think AEW is doing good for a relatively new company? Where was WWF 5 years into their run?
Someone didn’t answer my sticker of $49 about a old story heart story 🏈🏈
Conrad Hates when Eric says anything negative about AEW. Ive yet to hear Eric say anything wrong though.
@@Danielle1988-gEric's speaking from experience, the television business aspect, & business aspect of it. Conrad is trying, & failing might I add, to talk from the same aspects as Eric & constantly gets put in his place. Unlike Conrad & Dave, Eric knows what he's talking about & I get why he refused to work for AEW outside of just a couple appearances
I miss the WCW days and good night to girls. It sucks that they had done go ahead, head compete with each other and kill somebody off their program. Just tell me WCW. Just go on with their own show and act like they didn’t exist in enjoy their fans that they had.🏈🏈❤️
The fact that the bucks have multiple 5 start matches and Angle doesn’t have 1 should tell you all you need to know about his credibility.
DAMNNN...Easy E was laying down some Gospel today. The only man in Wrestling who tells the truth: Bishoff & Cornette, imagine that lol. And btw about who would buy AEW, that was never answered, could it be.... MR. MCMAHON LOL!
Contract says "McMahon" but, doesn't say "Vince McMahon!"
Que "Here Comes The Money " on the PA
@@chico1680 What contract???
Eric is a breath of fresh air.
logical aew opinions and I agree. Glad someone else isn't drinking the overhyped aew cool aid/hate Vince so your contrary to wwe opinion. The show is mid at best. nothing wrong with that.
With NBA you are mainly talking about the fan bases of 2 teams (mixed with some junkies), not every basketball fan on the planet
They were chanting whoop that trick because of trick Williams on NXT and the fact that the rock gets time that people deserve....
Meltzer might not be on Tony's payroll, but it's becoming obvious Conrad is!
Conrad getting his feelings hurt 😂
It’s scary the hate towards AEW from Eric, you can say it isn’t hate but it’s obvious. It’s the type of hate that stems from jealousy or from someone scorned.
30:27 tbf, the show has evolved or devolved into an AEW hottake podcast. I miss the nostalgia format personally.
Willow vs Riho tore it up?! Conrad… bro… c’mon.
Riho is poison.
Hey yo, NWO 4life!!!! Too sweet!!!!
Another Conrad must defend AEW episode
Show should been called The Good, The Bad, The AEW
i'd pay for a conrad free version of these things. i'd also pay extra for him to be replaced with an animated version that just constantly pratfalls as replies.
😂😂😂😂 you’re funny
Not hustle and flow Mayne 😂
Nothing makes me happier than when Dave Meltzer says something so stupid. Which proves Meltzer has no idea what he is talking about. That even Conrad cannot defend what comes out of Dave's mouth.
So you would have to turn the McMahons down if they were to ask you if they needed your help because you’re used to your own ways now not asking disrespectful way asking in respectful way❤❤❤
Hey, I just want to say that I enjoy listening to Eric, but I can't make it through these videos with annoying Conrad speaking.
Eric needs a new cohost ASAP.
P.S. Conrad is 100x worse when he does this with Jim Ross.
Is Eric doing anything for his brithday
I agree with Eric about Okada and Banks debut. I love Bret Hart who hates Eric, so this is a unbiased statement. AEW has no new intrigue.
They literally have okada and Ospreay now.. and if it’s what you’re into, Mercedes. And marks like you claim There is no “new intrigue” lmao 😂 bless your heart kid.
@@FatLadyKillerthey're not really, so far, ratings movers though which is what truly matters when it comes to television
@@FatLadyKillerYou calling me a mark is uncalled for, It;s just "wrestling" so RELAX making you mark. My point is add some intrigue to big stars like Okada, Ospreay and Banks should have a magical and surprise feeling. Like Eric says not handled right, they will lose there flare.
The misconception is Tony has no one he's accountable to, he does, his dad. It's his DAD'S money. Like Dixie, if his dad decides my son is an idiot who his giving my money to these glorified stunt men. He's going to pull his toys away real fast. If Daddy Khan is any kind of a business man, there is a time limit here
All of Stone Cold Steve Austin's hairs died.
Thanks
Mercedes who?😂
Benz
Nobody cares about Sasha Banks or Ospray or Okada, Connie. Give it up.
Did Eric just compare WrestleMania to the Super Bowl? I dont think WrestleMania has 50 million people watching. So Eric saying Minneapolis is just as excited for WrestleMania as they are the Super Bowl is kind of bullshit
World wide the promotion for the city could easily be better for wrestlemania then the superbowl
@@peterbrix1155 World wide is a different story, WWE has bigger global audience, NFL is mainly popular here. I was just considering US audience
no one gives a fk bout superbowl outside US, WWE is loved throughout the entire planet
AEW needs to worry about making home grown talent and not to focus on over rated or underrated wrestlers!
