I just don't think that you can say that this man is on par with john coltrane by him playing something through practicing and reading, when john made this up off the top of his head.

Of course….Coltrane is one of greatest jazz musicians of all time!

A "good" sight-reader and/or classically trained performer can manage this well from the actual transcribed solo found in the 'Trane Solo Book - although not with the same emotions and phrasings as John himself. A number of "scat" vocalists has made wonderful duplications of this solo - and those of others - with accuracy and precision second-to-none. On soprano RECORDER, Benoit Sauve is the master duplicator - with all the Oganic Jazz nuances. Great performance, champ; keep on doing your thing saxophonically! Lohvissimo!
