Probably won’t see “the next Tom Brady” with how the game is evolving. Quarterbacks that can extended plays with scrambling are better suited with the spread out offenses.
Top 10 defense? They were top 5 in last half of the season. #1 in ints. Nothing less then top 5 of defense with their talent and nlthing less then top 10 offense at worst

Fields still couldn't read defences , is terrible in the short n midrange passing game , a league worse when facing zone defense's under 18% . He holds the ball far to long specifically because he has such gr8 difficulty progressions, he can't throw guys open he needs to have eye contact with a receiver!!! Are you high ?? The damn ball is suppose to be in its way before the receiver goes into his break . Justin can't effing do that , he also sucks real bad throwing short and midrange consistently making bad throws behind, to high , and at shoe tops requiring receivers to make athletic plays instead of catching pathetically easy balls in stride .
Any QB would be better with the bears upgrades , the issue is fields is not a good quarterback , he is a runner that throws a good deep ball , that's all . He's shown extremely slow progress in 3 years . There's a reason nobody wanted fields as a starter , they all know what he is , plenty of tape on him which is why he got only a backup role . Pittsburgh has him on the cheap this season and in all likelihood will try and shop him before that .Omfg he still has terrible mechanics !
Justin will make some exciting plays due to his elite speed athleticism and escape ability. But hell never be a top tier quarterback , he just ain't got it .
Last year and a half the bears knew fields wasn't the guy . Poles knew immediately but gave Justin some time .They waited for the draft hoping fields would wow some teams into offerings. Sadly fields didn't shine , and it's not coaching , Justin has majority of responsibility.
