This is gonna be a wild overthought comment but, it’s kinda like in a good movie or TV show when a character gets caught out. That sudden “wait a minute…” where everything you simply accepted as fact is shattered. When you bomb the wall and see what you see, you’ve essentially shattered the scene the game had set up for you. You exposed that it was hiding something from you, and now you can’t trust it. And suddenly confronting someone/something you don’t trust is scary. What happens next, now that you know? Now that **they** know you know? To me that is true horror. Cyberpunk’s entry is likely something involving cyberpsychosis, which is often described as being a prisoner in your own body by the people that suffer from it before their (eventual) psychotic break
Bleeding statue theory: Skyrim uses npcs as the mannequins for displaying armor. If they use npcs to make certain statues maybe they would bleed if certain areas weren’t covered correctly with certain textures and stuff
This seems likely. They probably just forgot to remove the bleeding function from the statue. I'm assuming that they would use an inactive NPC just with the idle animations turned off
In Skyrim, that's because it's the easiest way to make them equip your armor. An NPC already equips the gear in its inventory, so if you can make a custom race whose skin looks like wood and get it to stand still, it's far simpler than creating a whole new type of object and making it correctly wear clothes from scratch. It's also a trick modders came up with using what they had access to in Morrowind, which then found its way into the official content of later games. If you just want a static bust, I don't see the advantage to it being an NPC. I mean it could be, I'd just be very curious about why.
Hate to be a downer but... the bleeding statue in BioShock is likely due to the statue itself being essentially an inanimate NPC. Games like this use "actors" for objects like that and these actors often take on a long list of generic, default properties. In this case, bleeding when shot must be on that defaults list and either they forgot to remove that flag from statues like that one specifically or they covered it in a collision box that prevents the bleeding effect but didn't make it totally gapless. Regardless, this is likely not a spooky Easter egg, but rather an engine quirk.
A similar thing happens in Borderlands: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC. The character Athena sprays blood when shooting her, being the only friendly NPC doing so. Probably because they reused the assets of her enemy character sisters.
Right? Its like looking at a chair in Skyrim or shopping cart in Fallout and realizing that it can damage you and thinking the devs did that on purpose lol
reminds me of how in the ending to portal there is a radio that bleeds but that is just the npc that plays the audio for the robot that drags you back into aperture.
The Comstock statue bleeding is almost certainly just a side effect of a modeling shortcut. Instead of making a solid object modeled after Comstock, they just made a brainless frozen version of the comstock npc with a stone texture there. This is a pretty common trick in game design.
That's close, it's actually using an unused version of Comstock that was originally intended for his death scene, hence the strange dent on the back of his head. Eventually it was just decided to use a better looking texture for the head wound.

Dude that people playground one was so surprising to me I've been playing the game for a year now and I always found the maps very lonely and kinda scary Edit: I also remember keeping the game on late at night and I got spooked by one of the scary noises
So for the ddlc one, specifically Yuri, thats an old creepypasta that Dan Salvato, the game dev, wrote prior to the game. He said it didn't correlate to the game at all, just a bit of an Easter egg.

Theres a hotel room on the bottom floor that has nobody in it, fully unlcocked and is completely dark, but everywhere theres like blood and shit. It was pretty horrific stuff.
So my theory on the people simulator or whatever it’s called, the lights in that long hallway seem to be spaced in very specific places as if it were a DNA sequence or something, it has to be a code of some sort.
The I AM NOT ME room is almost certainly a hint at one of the future DLCs, along with the Mayor side quest chain. The sidequest involves you finding out someone or something is attempting to change the mayor's behavior through advanced technology hidden in their apartment. At one of the last stages of the quest, you can see a man named "Mr. Blue Eyes" watching you from a ledge. This was likely going to be the hook for a dlc about the rogue AIs sealed off in the remains of the internet.
Mr. Blue Eyes was an inside joke turned cryptic mystery. The room with I AM NOT ME is something I worked on, it used to say "Are you sure the only you is you?" as a reference to P.T., I'm not sure if it'll ever get used, or if it will just remain as a spooky little room.
My guess with the lighthouses in Bioshock: Infinite is that they're either cut content meant for the sequence at the end of the game where you walk along multiple instances of the multiverse, or else they're meant to only show in the background of that sequence. The one in space feels more like the former, since, much like how they established that Bioshock and Infinite were in the same universe, there may have been plans to imply that Systemshock was ALSO in the same multiverse, but it was either cut for time or due to licensing issues. My guess on the bleeding Comstock statue is that whatever element or container or whatever was used for NPCs was also used for that statue but maybe not all of the stuff was configured right, thus the bleed effect when shot from just the right spot.
Actually, the story in Yuri's file is a creepypasta made by the creator, Dan Salvato! It's a really cool Easter Egg. Btw in people playground in the hybrid map if you stick to the cliff next to the water and go almost all the way to the bottom you can hear some sort of noise. Either a low growl or in one case some groaning that sounded human like.
the "pentagrams" on the obelisks in just cause 3 are actually the Elder Sign from the Cthulhu mythos, and they are used to protect from the elder gods, not summon them. Important difference to be made, since this changes the context of the signs and their locations.
Plus, the star-shaped form of Elder Sign wasn't from Lovecraft after all (who never described the sign), but from August Derleth, who continued Mythos writing with a huge Christian morality turn on them. So, my guess is: letters are gematry codes for Bible verses.

Hey oddheader. In the video game superliminal, you can go into the level labyrinth and go through a small bit of the level. Always walk as far up the walls as possible. @@Dr.Oofers no I mean Skyrim. Skyrim uses npcs for displays. I was saying that bio shock might do the same
@@jakethesnake4040 *Oh my bad*
@@toidIllorTAmI I thought that was just a glitch from fall damage or acceleration damage or something but that's cool
Oh my god... a downer! He's a downer!
reminds me of how in the ending to portal there is a radio that bleeds but that is just the npc that plays the audio for the robot that drags you back into aperture.

My guess on the bleeding Comstock statue is that whatever element or container or whatever was used for NPCs was also used for that statue but maybe not all of the stuff was configured right, thus the bleed effect when shot from just the right spot.

the "pentagrams" on the obelisks in just cause 3 are actually the Elder Sign from the Cthulhu mythos, and they are used to protect from the elder gods, not summon them. Important difference to be made, since this changes the context of the signs and their locations.

Also, changing Sayori.chr to .ogg reveals a sound file that after some changes lead to a website for a now cancelled project. Let's be real, it's nearly five years.
2:45 I actually solved this one it plays a sound that forms a spectrogram that forms images of the humans and text that’s in a different language that said something like “what are you doing here”

One thing I really admire about this channel is that the introductions are to the point. They tell you everything you need to know and nothing more.
That "i am not me" could actually be a hint to steel wools FNAF: Security Breach.
1:43 "Interactive Buddy" was a solid predecessor on Addicting Games when I was younger.
11:01 Random DDLC fact: There's 75 words for Sayori, 59 for Natsuki, and 70 for Yuri from my repeated loading of saves to see how many there were.
According to Doki Doki Literature Plus!s poemwords.txt file there are 88 for Sayori, 62 for Natsuki and 78 for Yuri.

In People's Playground, has anyone ran the radio sound through a spectrograph? Because it sounds similar to the Ratman radio from Portal 2.
As for Tamashii, the cypher looks like a set of coordinates. And that room that displays the time and date, I figure you probably need to set your computer/console's date and time to something that was significant to one of the following; the country of origin, the development of the game, or something personal that happened to the creator. It could also be as simple as setting your date to 6/06/06 (or 06/6/06) at like 7:06 (which would be 6:66).
I'm pretty sure they're bible verses.

@@denimchicken6549 I actually checked to see if that's a valid theory and yes, yes it is. Psalms 137:9, Numbers 31:15-18, Isaiah 13:16, 2 Kings 23:24, and Exodus 12:29-30. Judging by the content of the verses, perhaps there are idols/statues (of women or children) somewhere on the map that need to be destroyed somehow?
Shoutout to whoever went down that deep ass rabbit whole for people playground. Decyphered the code from the discord and then played that QR audio on a spectrogram, and PROCEEDED to build the blueprint from the spectrogram in the game. Dedication at its finest
the cyberpunk room was a message from the devs about their experience making the game
We'll never really know the stuff with People Playground. The Owner shut down their official discord server, so you cant even contact them.
