YES , I’m lucky enough to grace the tarmac of our great city in my lorry five days a week, and I love every congestion charged carbon monoxide fuel filled minute of it. I was born and bought up in Ongar (as of then. , the end of the east bound central line)and from the age of 15 in the early 80s I would visit our beautiful capital every weekend. But for those who have reached a time of their lives where they can no longer get out there, but who have fond memories of times gone bye,your work provides such a valuable outlet/insight to the relatable aspects of peoples heresy accompanied by your relaxed delivery, seriously, it’s like you are roaming the landscape with your best friend, and it is so amazing and that is purely down to your talent as a presenter. John you are out there leading the way, an absolute trail blazers, thank you sooooooo much for your valuable work, can’t wait to get your book. Hope you’re having an amazing weekend x
The postcode system in London is based on the old London district numbers that were brought in by the Victorians . They needed a system so that street locations could be identified . They were suffering with duplication of street names . When postcoding took place in the 1960s it was logical to continue .with a known system Other large UK cities also used similar district numbers .
