A failure is not a failure. It is a step in the right direction. A true failure is to give up entirely. Keep it up guys its an absolutely brilliant idea
It takes people with integrity to admit you tried and didn’t get to your anticipated goal. I think those products looked great but understand how it played out. You both are enjoyable to watch.
Brad, your dad said the funniest thing ever, when he said that since he drives a Ford, he won't need jumper cables! LOL, because everyone knows that the best thing about a Ford, is the tow company phone number stored in the owner's phone! LOL!!!
No way is that a waste of time. The time spent with your dad is priceless. My dad left when I was 3 years old and never wanted to be around me. So time well spent and the money it’s just money.
It's a brilliant concept and some of our best lessons learned are the ones born from our failures. I wouldn't classify this as a _failure,_ per se, but a sharp concept that can possibly be applied in another scenario. Ford making plastic fenders on a 450? Ugh. Make a grown man cry. Gents, awesome work and video.
I drive an 04 Chevy Avalanche. Left side is hatchet, machete, oil, lube, flashlight, tool kit, right side is jumper cables, straps, chains and a shovel
Also what about like an old hot rod hood hinge. Mount the flat part of the hinge to the fender and mount the smaller side to the storage box or inside the storage box and the hinge retract inside the box a little. I wish I could show you what I’m thinking rather than text lol. Love the idea and I think it’s still something doable
You guys are too hard on yourselves man you guys are doing a great job just because this wasn't a grand slam doesn't mean it wasn't a homerun great engineering great work good job guys keep it up you're incredible
What about a plastic stabilizing strut on both ends that collapsed when closing and retract open when your using the storage side. I’m thinking along the lines of those police break sticks they carry just with a little less force to break them out. This should help firm things up and be cheap to add to the product
Your mindset to keep the quality and practicality usefulness speaks volumes to what you and your dad are doing. I would be curious to see how much it would cost to build out your mechanics truck for someone. 🤔 Thanks for breaking all this down and sharing this with us. 💪👍🎬🎥
The entire journey looks like it was a very humbling experience guys. It happens. I loved the idea. Something tells me you guys will come up with all kinds of awesomeness moving forward in 2024. The experience that you and your Father have along with all of your skills, tells me you both will go far. Upward and onward my friends. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with in the future. God bless. . ANIMOUT! ✌😎
I remember seeing that at sema. I thought it was a great idea and wanted to try and do something with our chase trucks we use while racing a trophy truck.
Sorry the fender box didn’t work out, but I’m still excited about the under-bed drawer. Hopefully that’s still coming? Also, can a spare go on it, and if so, will a 37” fit?
Another thing, in a world being taken over by 3d printing, I can’t help but think maybe a 3d printer would make this cheaper in the long run, you can print in carbon fiber, you can even print in metal of sorts, there’s alot of ways to make this more cost effective.
If you made these fenders for a 2014 GMC Sierra 2500 I'd buy them in a heart beat! When i first saw the first videos you released of the fenders you made for the ford I wish you would make them for my GMC. I even emailed you.
Wow, you and your pops are an awesome team! I love the transformer truck idea. I have an OBS that the bed got hit and can't find a new one. Do you sell plans or a rough idea of how i could construct my own obs transformer bed? Love what you're doing.
I’m not good at this kind of stuff, and even though you have it torn apart, the mechanical/working part just eludes me. However, listening to the issue with the fender, would little gas struts (rv bed type stuff) help? Could possibly help it lean out more and make the opening a little more accessible, plus maybe keep the fender from being so flimsy. That’s just where my brain went when I saw the issue. Hope y’all figure it out, it’s a great idea. I still want a transformer truck, lol.
I think the dually fenders are molded into the bed sides on newer Chevy's, GMC's and maybe even Dodges so it might have been a pretty limited market anyway. Every successful invention was most likely preceded by multiple failures. That bumper storage might be the better one to work on for you.
I seen this done on a 1998 dodge ram. The company went out of business and the bed was made out of fiber glass. That was 20 some years ago. The shelf’s was built right into bed and the outside panel was the doors to the openings. If i happen to remember the name of the company I’ll let ya know.
What about using some expanding foam and some glued in braces. You glue in the bracers inside the fender, cover up the drawer and moving pieces, then fill the fender with foam. It should add enough rigidity.
You could make a rib to enforce the fender. Make a slide track for the lid and make the lid attached to the fender. So when you pull the fender away from the truck it slides the lid off and the lid acts as the rib for the fender. Then the lid would be pulled away from the tool box so you could access the tool box? If this works all I want is a free set for my truck :)😊
i’m from australia and something like this concept would be about 10k here, we only get the silverado and the ram here. the cars are already over double the US price but what an awesome idea
Couldn't you bead roll some sheet metal and use "3m" adhesive to the fender? Just an idea for the next go around. Good luck keep up the awesome work 🤙🏽
Did ever consider covering the box with plastic as a barrier, the spray foam the fender. It would make it stiffer and seal the whole unit. Just a thought.
What kind of tires did your dad have on the 450 in the video from September 2019? Are they nitto Mt’s? I really like seeing these behind the scenes type videos, really really cool!!
Spent 2 years building the ultimate shaker kit for the late model Mustangs and they were the only one of their kind. Problem was, Time to make, Time to package, Time to to deal with idiots that just wanted to crap on what you built and it killed me. Cost over $180k and then got rid of the moulds for scrap price. So, keep you design and keep with it, dont loose hope. Find suppliers that can help with the issues, the issues i see that have a remedy, look to ABS plastic vacuum moulding. Sometimes the market isn't ready, as you are too far ahead of the game.
But the Rambox is ugly. And am a Ram guy..owned a 1500 and a 2500 diesel and my next truck will be a Ram as well. But this solution looks factory and is where Ram should look for inspiration for their Rambox.
Make it for the inside of the bed. The indentions on either side of the fender wells. That way anyone can just bolt them up and they can be made for all trucks…..
Have you guys considered putting your talents to something a little smaller. Build a bad ass cross box. McWelco makes a Tough Cross Box but nobody makes a organizable tough cross box. 😢
What about an aluminum lip that folds back like angle iron that goes around the inner lip of the fender. It will tuck into the fender instead of using flat stick. Wouldn’t that stiffen it up for a lower cost and use original fender
I just want to make A little point here, people in the car/truck community spend THOUSANDS for things that are strictly aesthetic, yes it would be nice spending hundreds for it but in reality that’s cheap cheap.. I seriously think a working man with a work truck would easily spend upwards of 2k for a bumper.. they would spend upwards of 2k for the fender that is actually usable. I think you guys are looking at this from the wrong side, or dare I say the wrong time. Maybe 10-15 years ago 2k would be a lot for that, but if this was a factory option today, it would like 5-7k . Just my thoughts. I still love what you guys in every way
What if you scuffed the inside of that dulley fender, put a wire grid inside it and had it rhino lined or sprayed with a bed liner coating to stiffen it up.
You had a great idea look how much construction companies spend on storage add on’s look how expensive knapheide truck bodies bolt on is every construction worker wants storage and want to be able to use their truck beds the biggest complaint is once you put a box with tool storage on the back of the truck they can’t fit anything great thinking
Just wondering, why couldn't you put a couple door like hinges on the bottom, then put the locking mechanism at the top and it just swivels out at the top of the finder?
It took Ben Franklin over 1400 tries to get the light bulb 😃 You should have replaced those jumper cables with a HD tow strap so those Chevy and Dodges could tow you home 😆😆
They took it to gas monkey and Richard is helping them sell it at Baret Jackson But the thing is, everyone is so shocked at this thing 😮 and I must admit it cool freaking awesome but all I see is your C10 and I just wanted clarity from your side on those designs
A failure is not a failure. It is a step in the right direction. A true failure is to give up entirely. Keep it up guys its an absolutely brilliant idea

Us long time fans remember this from the show
Never a failure, just a stepping stone my friends 👍
You two have some killer ideas!! Beautiful 450!
That transformer truck is a killer idea
No way is that a waste of time. The time spent with your dad is priceless. My dad left when I was 3 years old and never wanted to be around me. So time well spent and the money it’s just money.
Glad to see that you haven't given up on this! Hope you guy's are able to bring this to market! This is an outstanding product!
Keep trying, they have inside of the bed boxes, make something for loading straps inside the bed. Under the bed drawer looks pretty awesome!
Cool concept, but so many easier and cheaper “total cost” ways to implement it. Just my opinion!! However keep those thoughts going for the next!
What about heavy duty plastic box, and more supports on the fender. That is so cool!!
If you had this on your truck what would you store in it??
Coke
Soda, tools, and tie-downs
I drive an 04 Chevy Avalanche. Left side is hatchet, machete, oil, lube, flashlight, tool kit, right side is jumper cables, straps, chains and a shovel
Id store tools in it if it was water tight.
Such a great idea! That sucks for you guys. Keep inventing!
You guys are too hard on yourselves man you guys are doing a great job just because this wasn't a grand slam doesn't mean it wasn't a homerun great engineering great work good job guys keep it up you're incredible
Haven't watched yet. I knew the fender would be hard. But i hope the under bed works out. I love that thing.
AT LEAST U2 ARE HONEST 👍👍👍 And your right if it's to EXSPENSIVE nobody's going to buy Dig Your Videos KEEP UP THE BUILDS 👍👍👍👍👍
I wonder if you could make aluminum stiffening plates that like panel bonds or rivets to the inside. So it stiffens it and is real thin
What about a plastic stabilizing strut on both ends that collapsed when closing and retract open when your using the storage side. I’m thinking along the lines of those police break sticks they carry just with a little less force to break them out. This should help firm things up and be cheap to add to the product
I love it its awesome would definitely want it
love the ideas they r great u got it going ,they all good idea
So all these are you guys inventions that's so cool
Great video! I sold many many trenz billet parts working at Gary’s drop center/sport truck for the gasaways
Your mindset to keep the quality and practicality usefulness speaks volumes to what you and your dad are doing.

ANIMOUT! ✌😎
The company you should license this to is Jackknife Motors in Salt Lake City. They built a truck for HeavyD and they do a lot of custom work trucks.
I remember seeing that at sema. I thought it was a great idea and wanted to try and do something with our chase trucks we use while racing a trophy truck.
Awesome job
i need this so bad im trying ot start up as a mobile mechanic and could definitly see this as the perfect addition to my tool storage in the f350
You guys can do it just need the right people to help u
Your dad's been watching to many cartel cars videos😂. At least it kept you busy.ThankQ.TkEZ>UK
You guys awesome! Truck creative n industry could definitely use in construction etc. Don't give up! Guys awesome! God Bless! 😉👍👊
Sorry the fender box didn’t work out, but I’m still excited about the under-bed drawer. Hopefully that’s still coming? Also, can a spare go on it, and if so, will a 37” fit?
How does this channel not have a million+ subs?

Great video

Love the bumper drawer
Such good ideas
Check out the new 6x6 hummer. Definitely looks like it could have been inspired by you and pops.
Sign of respect,
I think the dually fenders are molded into the bed sides on newer Chevy's, GMC's and maybe even Dodges so it might have been a pretty limited market anyway. Every successful invention was most likely preceded by multiple failures. That bumper storage might be the better one to work on for you.

Side hide bed company

If i was you guys don't give up on it 💯 hater going to hate 💯
Man I would run this on my truck if you had a full product to purchase
I think it’s cool just the way it is.
I been waiting for a update on the truck box! If you can turn it into a kit for my 99 longbed silverado I'd be very happy!!
Do something like a ram box on the top of the fender I think you’d even get more room inside
I thought about this idea back in 1998, unfortunately i was just a kid and didn't had tge money or the support.. 😢... keep it up guys, i like this
You guys should definitely keep at it it’s super cool idea and definitely fucking worth the money. Just gotta give the fenders and structure.
You could make a rib to enforce the fender. Make a slide track for the lid and make the lid attached to the fender. So when you pull the fender away from the truck it slides the lid off and the lid acts as the rib for the fender. Then the lid would be pulled away from the tool box so you could access the tool box? i’m from australia and something like this concept would be about 10k here, we only get the silverado and the ram here. the cars are already over double the US price but what an awesome idea
Thoughts on using Carbon Kevlar fenders? Would take a bit to perfect the mold but super durable
Add reinforced panel to stiffen it up ,3d print maybe . Attached using 3m panel bond or similar epoxy
Couldn't you bead roll some sheet metal and use "3m" adhesive to the fender? Just an idea for the next go around.
Good luck keep up the awesome work 🤙🏽
Hows it guys I really like the idea. What if you guys do something like this with the tail gate?
Did ever consider covering the box with plastic as a barrier, the spray foam the fender. It would make it stiffer and seal the whole unit. Just a thought.
What kind of tires did your dad have on the 450 in the video from September 2019? Are they nitto Mt’s?
I really like seeing these behind the scenes type videos, really really cool!!
Concentrate on the bumper drawer. I would love to have one.
Spent 2 years building the ultimate shaker kit for the late model Mustangs and they were the only one of their kind. Make it pivot on the bottom and lock on the top
A hinge point on each side of wheel well
Hey guys, are the toolboxes in the rear fenders and the bumper pullout drawers still available?
To fix your problem Try taking.
Flat Strips Of aluminum. And place them In The Fender.
With 3M Use them as finder guess it's That might work.
i hope this is a factory option one day
When is the bed hinges for the ford gonna become a kit you offer ?
Good evening y'all
So you reinvented the Rambox
But the Rambox is ugly. And am a Ram guy..owned a 1500 and a 2500 diesel and my next truck will be a Ram as well. But this solution looks factory and is where Ram should look for inspiration for their Rambox.
Make it for the inside of the bed. The indentions on either side of the fender wells. That way anyone can just bolt them up and they can be made for all trucks…..
I would think a flip up area in the back of the bed would be the best idea.
Curious if a non oem look would work better. Di a diamond plate exoskeleton for the fender. Look like trail armor
How about strengthening the inner structure using sliding covers fixed to the fender to give stability
So you know how folding tables have that brace that folds and locks the legs in. Couldn't something like that work to stiffen it when opened?
I can only imagine what would happen if you got searched at the border!
Have you guys considered putting your talents to something a little smaller. Build a bad ass cross box. McWelco makes a Tough Cross Box but nobody makes a organizable tough cross box. 😢
I just want to know when and where i can get that pull out bumper
How about if the fender flipped up like a Lamborghini door?
Definitely not a failure to me
will the transformer truck bed ever be for sale?
What about an aluminum lip that folds back like angle iron that goes around the inner lip of the fender. It will tuck into the fender instead of using flat stick. Wouldn’t that stiffen it up for a lower cost and use original fender
Am I missing something, the floppy fender doesn't seem like a huge deal especially if it locks tight when its closed?
Can you just use steel to reinforce the back side of the fender and rivet it to the inside of the fender. 3/16 steel with 3 panel wings. Should work.
Your probably better off just making it out of fiberglass. The clearance is the problem.
I just want to make A little point here, people in the car/truck community spend THOUSANDS for things that are strictly aesthetic, yes it would be nice spending hundreds for it but in reality that’s cheap cheap.. What if you scuffed the inside of that dulley fender, put a wire grid inside it and had it rhino lined or sprayed with a bed liner coating to stiffen it up.
What about fiberglass or carbon fiber epoxied to inside of fender. Lay a sheet to the inside of the fender.
What if you glued a quarter inch sheet aluminum to the inside of the fender
You had a great idea look how much construction companies spend on storage add on’s look how expensive
knapheide truck bodies bolt on is every construction worker wants storage and want to be able to use their truck beds the biggest complaint is once you put a box with tool storage on the back of the truck they can’t fit anything great thinking
neodymium magnets to stick the fender to the body?
On a side note your resume is guaranteed to get you a job for the cartel if you needed the work
Just wondering, why couldn't you put a couple door like hinges on the bottom, then put the locking mechanism at the top and it just swivels out at the top of the finder?
Do you think it would have the same structural issue's?
It took Ben Franklin over 1400 tries to get the light bulb 😃
You should have replaced those jumper cables with a HD tow strap so those Chevy and Dodges could tow you home 😆😆
I love the contents of your bumper drawer and the fact that you aren't afraid to show it in this WOKE world that we're living in.
Even if this kit was like 10g it’s still worth it in my opinion
Talking about special designs some guys built a 6x6 hummer looking exactly like your C10 😮 so please explain Brad who's design is it I'm confused 🤔
They took it to gas monkey and Richard is helping them sell it at Baret Jackson But the thing is, everyone is so shocked at this thing 😮 and I must admit it cool freaking awesome but all I see is your C10 and I just wanted clarity from your side on those designs
Sell idea to Ford. Have them offer as a package upgrade on future newer for models .
