Does an actor actually HAVE TO be from outer space to play an alien? What about a murder victim? Do we actually have to kill them or can they just act?
Shouldnt it be just as OK for non-Welsh actors to play Welsh characters as it is OK for non-American actors to play American "born and raised" characters?? It is, after all, "acting", not "turning into" the character.
As long as they nail the accent and are respectful... there's nothing more cringy than someone murdering the accent - it ruins every scene they're in in the film as it's all you can focus (see Julia Roberts' Irish accent in Michael Collins for reference 🤨)
I love Cox. I had a beautiful evening in London in the bar of a theatre drinking and chatting just the two of us into the early hours. Humane. Intelligent. Funny. Intelligent. He is from a working-class Roman Catholic family of Irish and Scottish descent. Brilliant actor. I am delighted he is having the recognition recognition he deserves. He is spot on about the collective madness of "Woke". Morgan on the other hand is a venal hypocrite, responsible for the taping of people's personal phones and voice mails. Although he is on the right track about wokeness, there's something about this mean spirited individual attempting to take the moral high ground on anything that is very easy to resist.

I worked with Brian years ago and he's one of the few people I have respect for, great actor, great man, and truly Genuine, love the guy.
Respect our elders. They've seen things.
Respect them because they have made more mistakes than the young and are still here! Hopefully learning from those mistakes.
