    Kudos to you Shelby. You are the 1st UA-camr who has said that most normal folk including makeup artist DON'T layer all that cake on their face. Oh and I'm a Mac face & body gal myself. And I have been battling melasma for a couple years now. I love it.

    Lately I have been using the Kon Mari method to unsubscribe from some UA-camrs that I don't really watch that often. But then I came across your channel, and have found you to be a breath of fresh air and a delight to watch, so I couldn't help but subscribe : )

    I am subscribed to about 8-10 beauty UA-cam channels, and a few are “big timers” but neither of them come close to your channel. I recently discovered you and, honestly, don’t feel the need to watch the others anymore. Thank you for sharing your tips, knowledge, and expertise that are all realistic and practical. What I have been looking for! You are the real deal!

You have gorgeous eyes!! LOVE that your skin always looks so natural and healthy and you don't do all "that other" stuff that you see so many do.

    Love this video. I've bought, returned, bought and returned MAC Face and Body Foundation many times because I could not get it to work the way it looked on everyone else. I am oily with hyperpigmentation so it just never worked right-not enough coverage and tacky...unitl I saw this video. This helped me tremendously. Not only I can now keep the foundation, I can also use my Bare Mineral concealer the way I should have. Thank-you for the tips. Love the way the makeup did for your face!

I use Josie Maran mineral only spf but I don’t fully trust her formulation for extreme heat and sun. Girl, just beautiful and reminds me to adjust my base application. When you said you'd been doing make up for 9 years, it made me realise I've been following you for pretty much as long! I started doing makeup when I had my university graduation and a friend's wedding all in the same summer (2010). Your BM original powder routine was what got me started - I think it was their old style beginners kit with full size foundation, concealer and mineral veil plus brushes - and I've been loyal to you and BM ever since! I think that video was on your old channel and you might have still been living at your Mum and Dad's house!! Time flies... Your advice is still the best. Thanks!

    Shelbey I knoe you will never see this but I've fallen and hurt my leg badly, can't walk, etc, and the pain these last 10 days has been very difficult to bear. I was on they phone trying to straighten things out with my doc 's office, and suddenly this video came on and it made me get into a much better, lighter mood. Felt so much better, like I can get through it now..just from your familiar pleasant face and the idea that makeup will still be here and give me some light harmless pleasure. 🙄

    I was worried about buying this foundation because I love the finish it gives, but I'm a "avid" wearer of sunscreen and I thought it wouldn't work at all. The problem is: when you use sunscreen, you're supposed to create a thin layer of it and disturbing this layer with vigorous motions by applying this foundation with fingers, as every makeup artists that I trust do, is a little bit of a no-no. But applying it with this kinda stippling motion works and I think it won't disturb my sunscreen! I'm even more tempted to purchase it now, thanks!

      I just got into BM mineral powder for the first time, and I'm using NYX Angel Veil primer sometimes. I also use Mineral Fusion hydrating primer, which I purchased at my local Sprouts Market. You can find it on the Mineral Fusion website. I also use the NYX poreless primer, the Touch in Sol No Poreblem primer, and a BH Cosmetics primer. They all seem nice under the BM powder, but Mineral Fusion and Angel Veil seem the best so far.

    This is a really helpful tutorial! I really want to try face and body but I'm so confused about the shade range. I'm in the UK and live out in the countryside and the nearest MAC is so far away so I can't easily get matched in store. If I'm fair with a beigey yellow undertone, would that be something like NW15/20?

    • @ShelbeyWilson
      @ShelbeyWilson  5 років тому +1

      If your skin leans more on the yellow side you should go with a "C" - I am C1 which is the lightest shade in the "C" category. The "N" category runs more neutral to pink. So C1 is equivalent to about an NC15-20. N1 would be equivalent to about an NW15-20

      The 120ml bottle is 47 canadian, about 40 american dollars and the 50ml is 30 american..even if there was.a dupe which trust me there isn't it would be more expensive than a 30ml bottle from the drugstore..it really is an awesome product!!

    Will you please explain baking? I think I have missed that in earlier videos.

    If I could have picked one person to make a foundation video, it's you. I'm always after a 'forgiving' base so this is perfect. You have totally sold me on MAC Face and Body too! Are their shades olive-friendly?

      Thanks so much! If you are more olive complected then choose a C shade instead of an N shade. C1=NC15-20 / C2=NC20-25 / C3=NC30-35 etc.

      No SPF in it but it can be layered over pretty much anything

    I'm allergic to MAC makeup, makes me breakout in terrible cystic-like acne. However, my skin tolerates very well your other favorite, Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, which I'm really happy about since it really is a smooth, natural-looking light liquid. :-) Great video, Shelbey!

      Also a great option! I hate that! Skin can be so finicky!

    I want to buy the Mac face n body but my Ulta doesn’t sell it and I’m afraid of getting the wrong shade online.

    Is this good for aging skin (early 50’s), normal to dry skin, clear.

    • @ShelbeyWilson
      @ShelbeyWilson  5 років тому +3

      Yes, absolutely. MAC F&B is one of the best formulas for mature skin in my opinion.

      Jamie Albanese you won’t be sorry. I’m 63 with dry combo skin, redness and sun damage. It smooths it all out, leaving me looking fresh and dewy and younger all while looking like real skin. It doesn’t cover up my spots n dots or completely erase the redness. It just smooths it all over. Great stuff.

    What is the difference between Face & Body and Studio Fix? And, where have you been all my life?
