  • What a year 2020 has been! Join me in the big 2020 allotment review to look back on all of the crops I've grown this year, the many new projects I built and flowers I grew to see how they each performed. We'll see them again in their peak, when the plot was bursting with life and mark each crop out of 10 for it's performance.
I'll summarise my best crop, worst crop, favourite moment and favourite new tool for 2020 too. I would love to hear what yours were in the comments! Thanks again for all of your love and support this year.
Many of you asked in my previous video how to support my channel financially. I really appreciate that some of you want to send me a little something and whilst I do not currently have a Patreon set up, I've made a page on Buy Me a Coffee if you wish to do just that by visiting www.buymeacoffee.com/2YckPLx1G or you can support via Paypal at www.paypal.com/paypalme/katri... - thank you! 💞

Thank you for everything you do and the inspiration you have personally given to me. I am proud of you.. I hope that 2021 is a fully productive year in every way. Big love, Rob.

Had a reasonable year myself, great spuds and beans (all my beans are indoor grown apart from broad beans, The Sutton) due to the wind and cool weather here on the Isle of Skye. Katrina, what a great review. For us in Sydney we are having a much wetter cooler summer than last years hot 45 degree days in draught. My best crops this year I would say is my corn which I picked a couple of days ago and got 28 cobs from 24 plants. Also my Silverbeet (chard), lettuce, radish & carrots. My failures would be onions. Tried multi sow and didn't work, & Tomatoes which got the grubs. Have a happy safe new year and good gardening. Cheers -Keith

Lovely video thanks, I enjoyed it very much. I tried chard this year for the first time and love it, I've just about picked the last of it now. (9/10) My worst was probably leeks, didn't fatten or grow tall, I suspect not enough water in August but will definitely be growing them again next year and hope for better. Previous years have been OK so 2/10. Have a great 2021.

Really great review of your allotment year. No two years are ever the same and we all get winners and losers when it comes to crops. Be careful with the raised beds, slugs love them.I noticed your in for snow and frost in Nottingham over the next few days the garlic may need a fleece cover to avoid a repeat of last seasons disappointment. The local food bank would welcome any extra fruit if you have it to spare. I really like the mix of vegetables and flowers, so much vibrant colour. Looking forward to the apple tree pruning its something I never feel I get right.

Hi Katrina. Really enjoy watching your allotment videos, even though I don't always leave a comment. Yes, you're right: 2020 has been a funny old year! So sorry to learn about your job loss, mentioned in your previous video. During my career, I've been made redundant twice, and each time I felt guilty about it! Hope you'll find your dream job, next year. But even if you can't; please, please, continue to share your passion for gardening and growing veggies, via your allotment videos. They are so encouraging, especially during these strange times. I harvested about 3 stone of apples from 2 trees on my plot. Definitely the best year yet. Have you thought about growing Russian Vine, or Virginia Creeper up each side of your metal trellis? Looking forward to watching your allotment progress during next year. Happy harvesting!

You know,, I'm pretty much an okay grower, but the summer was so hot (drought) that a lot of my plants were sunburned. In twenty-nineteen we had a lot of rain so I had to deal with slugs. Ugh! This global warming is making it hard to grow anything. Aside from venting, I hope all of you have a safe and healthy holiday and throughout the new year too. Love the review. Aloha!
