I bet those bears would be something to see. I did see those ravens and the mosquitos. Glad you had good hiking boots as the rocks were very plentiful. Beautiful county. Glad you made the video.

Great video! Love the U.P. I'm from Ohio and spent lots of time up in Michigan with my cousin at their cottage in Traverse City, and visited the U.P. whenever possible. Love the song at 5:25. So peaceful. Bob uses it all the time in our videos. Yes, that was a loon. Love their call. Loons mate for life. We are really enjoying your videos. ~Bob and Sue from Lucky Dawg Productions

This looks like a very nice state park. We went to Alaska last month and were so sad we didn't see any beers I was so looking forward to seeing at least one. Also we were told one night we may see the Aurora and unfortunately didn't I stayed up so late to see it. Thanks for sharing you did a very nice video. Webare new subscribers and supporters hope we see you on the road one day Just Ramblin Around! Nice job adding the site numbers I love it when channels do that I try to do that as well!

The French were the first Europeans to explore Michigan and you will find several French named rivers bays , etc. scattered around. Too bad you didn't make it to the Presque Isle river in the western end of the Porkies. There are some very nice falls there. You probably found out about the French influence at Mackinac Island. The English took over from the French and changed some of the spelling to Mackinaw , the way it is pronounced in French. It is derived from the native word often spelled as Michilimackinong which means great turtle , the indigenous name for Mackinac Island .
