Great review! It'd be great if there was more variety of binoculars. For example, a 35x magnification and 100mm aperture. That being said, I wish I could get some APM binoculars but they're not available in the USA. But such larger binoculars are really difficult to use even with a standard tripod. I've been using telescopes, that are much more powerful, and I am accustomed to the large magnification, such as 100x. That being said, one can build what's known as a binoscope, which is like binoculars but made from telescopes. Maybe someone can get around the difficulty of use issue?
Thanks! Yeah, your options are pretty limited beyond 25x100 unless you can spend thousands and get huge APM or Fujinon models. Astroshop in Europe sell these and ship to the US but they are expensive.
