Lamont was a great human. Me and my homies were at a food truck at a football game at Pasadena CC in 1996 as kids. He bought us food without us asking him to do so. He was cool and down to earth. He answered all of our questions and let us eat/chill with him and his girl the whole night. 💯🙏🏾

He sat down and talked to us kids and donated to the center. He ALWAYS came back to the city and showed love. He even did commercials for local black-owned business to increase their visibility and revenue. I’m a horror movie fanatic lol It’s nice to see my man De’audre doing well and is healthy he’s been thru some chit and the movie he did Lockdown and the prison rape scene he did looked real and it was heartbreaking. Tales From The Hood has ALWAYS been BY FAR!!!! My favorite movie!!! Since I’ve first saw it as a young child. I was born in 94 so I had to be around 6 when I did. You would think it would’ve have haunted me but it didn’t. I’ve always understood the message.
I truly feel like this movie didn’t get the recognition and love it deserves simply because, 1. Like he said it’s timeless, it’s still relevant and 2. Because it’ll convict too many hearts and force people to step out of their comfortability and change for the better.
