- What is up everyone and welcome back to a brand new video here at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Over the past 4 days I've tried to film as much content as possible but sadly at the donut area as you'll see not a lot of the supercars burnt rubber this year however I did managed to capture a few and some extra bits!

why is the turning radius on these race cars so low?
@@Alikhan-cq7hb maybe because they dont have turns this sharp? I feel like the tyres will slide and understeer if they have such a large turning angle at their speeds, but im only guessing :)
@@handborgir2353 they can also make more precise movements with less angle

It's crazy how small the Valykrie looks compared to the people standing next to it.
True, looks like a toy. Such a small car, but sounds the best and has 1000hp...

Since most of these cars have such a massive turning radius, it seems much more efficient to do a power slide rather than a multi point turnaround. It’s the perfect excuse to have some fun haha! Someday I hope I can make the trip to FoS from Texas!

Just came here from watching the Nevera video of it powersliding around, knowing it would out accelerate 95% of the cars here. and i just got a great reminder of why ICE's will always be at the heart of the car industry.

In south Africa we would be spinning and even jumping out of the cars while spinning, Goodwood festival is a old man's day out... boring to say the least. Those drift cars though..Respect for hanging balls to the wall.

@@bebespurs im not saying that, don't tergiverse things, and i forgot to mention WRC, MotoGP, SBK, Isle of Man, Pikes peak, Dakar and some others. Along with the named above, these are the elite where only the very best race, the big oems and the best drivers in history, they push not only the limits of human, but also of engineering, professionalism and technology. You can save MX, but disciplines like drag, WRX, Drifting, Gymkhanas are just "entertainment", not real racing, doesn't matter how many people watch them.
There are people who really think that the likes of Ken Block are the best drivers in the world when that is long way far from the truth, im not taking any merit from them, but thats a fact. And if you only feel admiration and awe for burnouts then you are not a complete motorsports fan, only an adrenaline junkie...
But well at the end of the day, at each at its own...

How do you get to the donut area where you filmed this? I was here on Sunday and wasn't able to find a way there so just wanted to ask if you need to pay extra or get invited to film from this spot of if I just didn't look well enough

There’s a time and a place for everything and if FOS isn’t the place to let loose then you have the whole ethos of the event wrong☠️
It's called the Goodwood Festival of Speed, not the Goodwood Festival of Smoke and Debris. You are aware, that a burnout or power slide is incredibly harsh on the car, right? And a million dollar car doesn't have a 50 dollar service for that. That's a couple thousand dollars just in parts.
It's a gentlemen event. Always has been. There are special stages to let loose, to show the potential of the cars, of the company chooses to do so. Some of those cars are one of a kind and spare parts vietually don't exist anymore. But sure, break them. Your 5 second entertainment is worth more than a one of a kind car worth millions.
