There are jerkies of just the exotics but they are generally local, small batch and more expensive. These are basically novelty items, mass sale for people who want to say they ate whatever. Gimmick.
Look at the ingredient list. Its goes in order from most ro least. . if beef is the first ingredient, then it's mostly beef or at least more than half.
When I moved to Colorado I got to sample some exotic jerkys and smoked meats. Llama is awful. Beefalo is nice. But, best? Caribou or moose. Very nice. But you need pure Louisiana Gator Jerky. Basically, you taste salt. The jerky I tried were made by some nice Lakota folks, in the traditional manner. Very different from packaged anything.
Tara's, If you have a Bass Pro Sport shop near you and they have an attached restaurant, you may be able to try alligator there , make sure you ask for the sauce on the side . Gator is very flavorful . Have fun with your tastebuds .😁
