- This summer marks the 5 year anniversary of the day the family of 6 bears visited our yard. This clip is the moment that things got a little scary.... "The police are going in the back yard!", "Oh no, the Mamma bear is pulling the filter into the pool!" - - Cut to black.

Thank you! Bears are around the area often and mostly just cross through the yard. They are particularly troublesome for everyone with the garbage cans during garbage day.
Thank you for the updated! I was so scared they were going to electrocute themselves after the original video cut to black! Best human mom to not let the dad kick them out ❤

I wouldn't call animal control.
You never know what kind of goofball they might send and if they might be on a power trip.
A loud whistle from the window would have scared them off just as well. But really no reason too. It's their home too.
We keep expanding, making awful use of real estate, and not keeping them and their needs in mind when making plans.
Watched the original video and it made my day. Your child is still appropriately spooked by the bears - which I was at first surprised by but realized it is good because really you don’t want them to go cuddle the bears when they are getting in the trash 😅 had some black bears visiting a place my family stayed at up in UP michigan when I was a tween, I remember it was such a thrill being from Chicago where the wildlife is less exciting, but I was also terrified by it having seen Uncle Buck 😂

Structurally yes. The liner ripped though in several spots. Gotta hand it to intel. The pool held up for the most part.

The bears will be put down, but people need to realize it was their habitat when that neighborhood was woods, animals get pushed out of areas that become housing neighborhoods. Thank you for allowing it and not shooting at the bears. Humans are really the ones that have gone into their space.
I sent this to my daughters and said this is why they should keep the garden tidy. We live in Uk no bears but still a point

I just watched the original from 2016 and was hoping to find an update. Did the momma bear and her cubs ruin the pool? Did she get electrocuted? We live on a farm and anytime I put up an inflatable pool the cats, dogs, chickens and ducks decide to make it their play time. Even if I cover it the ducks find time to lay on the tarp and play in the water. I was thinking of putting up a pool like your's and of course covering it when not in use. No bears here. The deer don't come into our yard either. Thanks for sharing.
