Sometimes I feel like I am shaving a wild boars ass 😂. I always go in with a backup razor. Man when you get older your hair gets coarse. Thanks for featuring Bourbon Cowboy and I am glad you like it. I have Bourbon Cowboy from Eric’s products. It is a very slick soap, which is just right for a SR. I enjoy it. I can pick the boozy and leather. I am pretty darn sure that Eric has the scent notes on his Etsy site.
@@lawrence1md Bourbon Cowboy is a TCB2 beef tallow base shave soap. Scent notes include aged bourbon, saddle leather, with spicey cedar wood and bitter citrus. The “Bourbon Cowboy” experience is curling up by the fire with your favorite cowgirl while enjoying a fine aged bourbon. This is no dupe, it’s an original seductive medium fragrance shave soap.
@@lawrence1md When I look now, it states that the item is unavailable. That may be why. I use My Shave Den app and have learned to copy things like scent profiles because I know that it may disappear.
Good one Matthew👌 Can't say I'm a fan of bozzy scents and tend to avoid them. The Thor was a nice looking razor even though it wasn't real smooth. Hahaha ... extra pass off camera👌🤠👌
Well, sometimes you just have to bail! It's the wise thing do! The hair does get coarser as you age and I do go through blades faster than I used to. I'll have to send you a Weck with a Kismet blade sometime for you to try out. I'll have to see if I have one that's in working order, because I've taken most of the apart. I do have a custom Weck that I made into a kamisori if you wanted to try something like that or a custom AC kamisori? You did answer a question I've wondered about with the way that razor's shaped. Yep, the ergos are not good with all that fancy stuff and a hard fit for a lot of people's hands. Hope you're having a great week!

I understand why you prefer your own edge, but did you happen to shave with the edge it came with? If so how was it? Did it not accept your edge do you think because of inferior metal. I know own Naked armor is not that expensive, but might be around a gold dollar In quality.
@@danielarchibald3247 the edge it came with was tuggy and left a lot of stuble behind. I’m thinking it can be one of two things. Either the thickness of the spine creates a different angle on the edge or the metal is a different material. What’s strange is it does pass the hanging hair test, except for the very tip of the toe. Thanks for watching Daniel!
That was a fun shave ! Perhaps it was the bourbon in the soap..... @Eric_TheCajunBlade how much bourbon did you put in that thing ? All joking aside, you were right to switch razors, no reason to shave uncomfortably just to make a point. You still finished with a nice shave, no cuts or weepers. That's a win.
@@theluxuryshavinghobbyist you are right I haven’t heard too many good things about them either. The strange part is it is hair popping sharp except for the very tip on the toe. So it’s a little mind boggling how that can be. I’m guessing the type of steel or the angle created by the thick spine throws it off. Thanks for watching Glenn!
